I have heard much of this before. The geology of the erosion has been debated for a long time. I'm no geologist, but I have been studying Ancient Egypt since I was 5, and the King Tut Exhibit hit Los Angeles in 1979. The Sphinx always bothered me. With the accuracy used to build the Pyramids, I can't imagine the Egyptians carving head of the Sphinx in such poor proportions to the rest of the body. It never made any sense. I'm not saying it was built 12,000 years ago, I'm saying I believe it looked different originally.

I do remember over a decade ago, they walled it off, put on a massive show with red bull for a week or so, in that time, loads of trucks were seen going back and forth from the sphynx to somewhere else. The thing is, nothing truck worthy was moved if that makes sense. Something else went on, I believe they went under and removed everything they could find, then seal it back up.

The thing that makes Graham Hancock most believed and respected is the fact that he studies sites and history from all over the world, not just egypt. Therefore, things that may appear mammoth to some, can be broken down by familiarity, repetition and evolution. And Graham has devoted his entire life to unlocking secrets from many cultures, creations and cataclisms. He also consistently references friends and peers findings and thoughts, embracing several thought processes and discoveries. A humbled genius is a severe understatement.

Graham Hancock had been challenging the accepted worldview for so long. He is thorough with his research, he is happy to lean on other respected academics body of work and is happy to share his work publicly. Eventually his work will have to be recognised. People who hold high positions that a make or break researchers careers will have to let go of delusions and ego’s and become humble to admit they are wrong. When will this be? No idea, but Grahams work is gaining more traction publicly through Gaia and UA-cam and Netflix. I just wish there was something us ordinary people could do to stand up for and with Graham and people like him who constantly get shot down, put down and pushed down not just privately, but publicly. If anyone has any ideas then post on here, UA-cam creators: make a video with suggestions. I have absolutely no doubt that the pyramids are hugely important for the human race and understanding our origins. It’s time for a shift in consciousness and a shift in who holds the power of this information.

Can I just ask, have you actually taken a look at the real historians' criticism of Graham's work? It seriously shouldn't be enough for you just to hear Graham saying random bs like 'the mainstream media hates me' to just believe everything he says. He has no idea how scientific research work, he deliberately misinterprets other people's words, perfect example of this practice would be his ancient apocalypse show on Netflix - he lied about what the people he had on the show had told him. If you seriously unbiased and want to learn stuff, take an unbiased look at such criticism. One good youtuber, who is also a historian, and has a great skill of putting things into simpler words is MINIMINUTEMAN, he mad an excellent series where he takes apart Hancock's ancint apocalypse episode after episode. I would seriously love to know if you'll still think so highly of him and his so called research.

@@jaroslav-6027 Einstein once said: 'Imagination is more important than knowledge', which is exactly why thinking out of the box is so important for evolution in any part of science. Reality can be stranger than fiction. Just so you know, Graham Hancock is only walking in the footsteps of Erich Von Däniken, who suggested almost all of this in a time when thinking out of the box was even met with far greater hostility than nowadays.
If you really think a bronze age culture was capable of building these godlike structures with a precision not possible without our modern technology, than there is nothing that will convince you otherwise. It seems there is no difference between the time when Copernicus said the earth was moving around the sun, he was vilified for even suggesting it, and now. @@peterg9729 "Robert Bauval, Graham Hancock, Robert Schoch, and their friends have made a career out of claiming that the Great Sphinx of Giza was carved in the time of Atlantis, around 10,500 BCE. This number derives, ultimately, from a combination of a belief in the existence of Plato’s Atlantis prior to 9600 BCE, the dating of the end of the last Ice Age, and, above all, to the idea that the Sphinx’s leonine form was meant to gaze at the constellation Leo on the spring equinox, something which would only have happened during the so-called “Age of Leo,” when the slow drifting of the stars placed Leo in that position from 10,500 BCE to 8,000 BCE."
It's thought that the head was originally that of a Lion and later re-carved as one of the pharos.
