ABOUT MARRIED TO MEDICINE:
Dr. Jackie is in full renovation mode building a brand-new practice, moving into a new home with Curtis and continuing to rebuild their marriage. Dr. Heavenly and Damon are broadening their medical horizons by opening a surgical center all while keeping the flame in their marriage on high. In addition to laughing & having fun with our friends, we’ve also got to hold them accountable & call them out on their BS. As for Contessa, she’s just out of line, screaming in Buffie’s face, telling her she’s wallowing in her pain, etc. like just be quiet.

Contessa’s reaction to Buffie’s pain is the perfect example of how as Black women we are intolerant and dismissive of vulnerable emotions (sadness, hurt, pain). Many of us were never taught that it is okay to be sad. I am a Psychotherapist working with women of color who are so disconnected from their own emotions, often angry (result of suppressed sadness), and continue to see emotions as a weakness. Living fully, improving relationships and real self love includes accepting ALL of our emotions. 💛🌅

Can we connect I would love to have you as a therapist or maybe point me in to the best direction for a good therapist. I tried therapist in the past through betterhelp( 2 as an adult ) and don’t think that they were a good fit for me, I left feeling more disconnected and raw than before I started therapy.

It is sad that both Jackie and Contessa have acted this way but I never liked Jackie because her nose was to high in the air, felt like she can correct others to be more like her when she needs the correction. This was heartwrenching to see. I am glad that she and her husband are going to use a surrogate now.

It's one thing for her to have her own issues with Mariah (which I can respect), but attacking her on behalf of other people... Contessa tries so hard to fit in with the drama that it's become painful to watch, and I think mainly it's because it's not who she truly is. I believe that she and her marriage have fallen under the reality show curse, and it's best that this season be their last. She's comparing herself and her marriage to people on the show who don't have it all together either which can lead to nothing but destruction.

If you are woman that tried to have kids and can't. it's a hurtful feeling and sometimes you try to pray that pain away and then you try to put it in the back of your mind but when somebody embarrass you like Jackie in front of a lot of people it open up wounds that you thought that was close... India Anderson even if Buffie said she was infertile on tv in front of millions Jackie was wrongness for standing on stage and singling her out in front of an immediate crowd...because it would be wrong for Mariah to be on stage talking about cheating and be like “you understand Jackie you’ve been cheated on”....and that’s the part Jackie doesn’t get on top of the emotions that continue to hang over this lady

It wasn’t Jackie’s place to speak on Buffie’s business at the event. But Buffie is a National television telling everyone about her fertility struggles. So it’s not like Jackie revealed the info to the world. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ Buffie needs to deal with her own pain and stop trying to blame Jackie
But Buffie is not blaming Jackie she said it in the episode. She said she didn’t think Jackie was being malicious, but it just brought up emotions that she tried to push down when Jackie announced it. I think Jackie is being really insensitive around the issue.
Its naive of her to think she will not have to discuss this on tv. Jackie was wrong and she did apoligize. I think Buffie should rethink about being on tv if its going to be mentally draining for her if this subject comes up.
She didn't ask Buffie if she could speak about it at a very public event, that wasn't about her so it caught her offguard. She did it in a very neverminded way. It's different when it's a one on one interview with her consent. They don't see the audience watching. Anyone would be mortified if the host of an event make you the topic of discussion on the spot
