The track isn’t even very rough. It just had a ton of grip and the left rear comes off the ground going into the corner causing a violent change in momentum and flipping the cars.
Too much bite, not enough slide. I guess we can say they prepped the track TOO good.
This is ridiculous. How on earth do that many cars end up crashed… in time trials?!
Guys going hard on a fast track, a super grippy surface, and cars with nothing holding them to the track. This is a regular occurrence at non-wing events, just never all four in time trials.
Wow, quite the night of accidents. Devils Bowl is almost a half mile so these guys were really hauling the mail! Thanks to all the people who make the safety equipment as it did it's job.
Hiking that left rear, on the brakes hard and setup?
Yeley got the worst of it.
Glad everyone is okay!
looks like they were breaking shocks you could see it especially on yeleys car
No that’s called biking, it’s mostly a non wing thing
Yeley got the worst of it.
Glad everyone is okay!
Don’t usually see them do that with wings on them
They’re going much faster and there’s been more winged car deaths in the last 10 + years. Sudden stops is what kills your
Yeah all those Nancy’s running 4 on the floor!
If you slow the video down, you can see that JJ's car broke something on the right front that lifted the left rear off the ground to begin the tumble.
Or he got on the brakes and got way more bite than a sprint car normally gets. Could totally see it happening in today's sport where everyone is setting up to get maximum grip expecting the track to be slicker
There's no right front brake on a dirt sprint car to allow that to happen.@@landonmurray3814
No he just drove it too hard and got biked up
way to soft on the right front
Oof, the bike bit tonight. Yeley and Stewart are the only drivers to win USAC triple crown, others just won a championship in a different series in a different year.
It’s still called the triple crown whether you do it the same year or spread them out. I agree with you and the two are the purest form
Wing it
those exposed concrete walls just sitting by themselves in 1 & 2 are just asking for a top of someones cage to hit them... glad everyone was okay
Need more banking in turns, more weight or downforce toward back of car
Wow that's a bunch of torn up cars.
Track owners were getting revenge on the drivers
Devils bowl is good at tearing stuff up.
You have to know how to drive the track and it's D shape.
FULL MOON?
Yeley can`t even drive a duck to water.
imma assume you know nothing about JJ's accomplishments in USAC
Multi time champion including the triple crown- all three in one year. Shows what fools like you know.
Now don't get me wrong, I do LOVE the nachos with meat at Devils Bowl but me and 17 of my friends live within 45 minutes and would never think about going to the Devils Bowl these days. We do drive 12+ hours to tracks like Eagle & I-55 but I wouldn't watch cars go around the Bowl if I lived inside of it.
You miss a lot of good races l go just about every week it's a great track with good drivers.
You’re missing a lot of good races including outlaw shows
