I have never even heard of Shantae until last month, and now after seeing this I'm in love with the franchise.
I really recommend playing the Shantae games if you haven't already. They're really fun and humorous.
Yo that music in the bath house is the smoothiest jazz I've ever heard in a game. I felt like I was gonna slip out of my chair.
The animations are so fluid in this game. Shantae looks very lively.

Man, I played the _crap_ out of this as soon as my code went through. Got the email at my part time shift, got home after 10 pm, ate food, realized I could actually download and didn't actually have to wait, finished downloading around 4 am, and marathon'd it the rest of the night/morning in ~7 hours, before going in for another part time shift. Yeah...no sleep. Was surprisingly awake, though.

Catty Mintgum well with the technology we have and the accessibility of said techs, you have a lot of ways to start doing game development, if you want to do some 3d games theres unity for free or if you want 2d instead there's 001 game creator and other free softwares, you can create your art for as cheap as free with paint.net (not ms paint) or gimp, and as for music, you have the simple program known as LMS i think its called...
Go to google and you can easily get yourself trained with the basics of game design and other things you might need to know.
I started with 001 when i was like 10... and made a lot of projects, all of which were eventually cancelled but those were my baby steps.
Then i moved kn to rpg maker and made my frist 2 games there and put them on gamejolt... They were gorroble but at least i wasnt dumb enough to give it a price tag...

look at her eyes and the head crystal thingy. it's red while she's captive and released, and after shantae beats her up it turns blue. she was probably controlled by something.
I think it was more she was ticked off for being chained up and then calmed down.

If I could make a recommendation: Voice commentary. Makes things like menu screens more entertaining to at least hear your thoughts on what you want to buy and such.

No offence to Jake Kauffman, he's great at what he does, but I can't really remember much of the first two Shantae soundtracks barring a few select songs.

There's only one thing I have to nipik is that there's no voice acting in this game 'And a few lines from Shantae & Risky Boots doesn't count' I just wish that I knew about it on Kickstarter a few years ago.. But nope. I just wish that they have Voice acting like they did in Skullgirls 2nd Encore it's just one of those things I wanted to see in a Shantae game.. Oh well it's Fandubs all over again.

You can wonder around any map you like after you beat them. And if you have warp dance *you can get it from snake lady for 300 gems, you can warp to any part of the map you like.* but as for wondering from area to area and being linked no they are not linked in that way.

It was either a heart container *boost your health 1 heart* or a animal transformation. In this video most likely it was a animal transformation.

How long is the game on average?
First playthrough took me about 6 hours not knowing where anything after that ranges from 3:30 to 2 hours if your a good speed runner.

It can be if your good. But still its a beautiful game. Honestly its one of the best looking games and shantae games ive played in awhile. They put in a lot of hard work into this. But i blame MN9 and backers that pulled their pledges from the game late. They could have done so much more.
I didint hear about backers pulling there pledges in, the game earned 780k though so it should still be enough to do whatever they wanted to do,
None the less, the game does look great and cant wait for it to come out I just wanted it to last longer is all because only 6 hours of playtime I can imagine it will get boring pretty fast :/
Yea the got some more throught paypal but a few people did pull pledges but they did get a lot funded. But this is a console shantae game so im happy with that. But I understand your point.

Atm they have not stated. They have only said they have let all three big companies know the game is ready and will post on the KS when its good to ship. Sadly If not in december Im guessing late January maybe?
