For Oakland, this is their first NCAAT appearance since scaring Texas in Tulsa back in March 2011 (Texas led by Tristan Thompson won 85-81). Pittsburgh was Kentucky’s second closest first weekend pod, and is John Calipari’s backyard (from Moon Township). Unfortunately, the previous time he was in Steel City, Kentucky lost to Robert Morris (March 2013, Wildcats were sent there since Lexington was a March Madness site that year).
I’m curious to see if Coach Cal will take Arkansas to a whole new level that they haven’t been before. The Razorbacks have won a national championship in 1994, made it back in 1995, and have six Final Fours in their history. Overall they’ve made themselves a pretty decent tournament presence but I think they will be raising the bar now that he’s arrived there.
This ain’t Oakland in California this is Oakland COUNTY in MICHIGAN but OAKLAND IS OAKLAND ( tough is tough people from Oakland known NOTHING IS HANDED EVERYTHING IS EARNED , STAND UP GRIZZLIES ( much love from Los Angeles )
The Kentucky coach is literally terrible: no playbook, no screens, no floppy, etc. He has restricted Dillingham's minutes the whole season, even though he is one of the players who can shoot the three-pointer and win games.
the starting lineup should've been Dillingham, Sheppard, Reeves, Mitchell, Big Z. Worse management i've ever seen for a roster, calipari likes to play his favorites win or lose. Calipari only won because he relied on talent, the game has changed, now you have to run complex offense (alongside good defense) in order to win. Calipari is stuck in his old ways and will never adapt to today's game, i pray for arkansas
Now I bet it’s going to be worse whoever the replacement head coach is if it’s not Billy Donovan, which I’m not sold on him being there. I doubt he’d even go back to college much less Kentucky.
@GoCatsUK I’m definitely perplexed by that hire. I’m a Florida fan and I would’ve hated to see Billy Donovan coaching for Kentucky, that would’ve been a stinger if that happened. I doubt Mark Pope is going to do much of anything
‘Well the one thing about Kentucky too is they’re one of the best shot blocking teams in the entire country’. Well that’s what they’ve been known for under John Calipari’s tenure.
#4 Kentucky has such a solid foundation (skill, physicality, intelligence), but then why flop? @52:47 that kind of (flop) mentality gets a short-term win, but is psychologically weakening.
Looking back on this now, this was a blessing as it ultimately sealed the deal for the Cal era to end.
glad i'm not the only one coming back to this and thinking the same.
Finally yall uploading full replays

@@lakerskid2013 I mean, does this game give you hope?
Great job, Cal! Your team said they weren't prepared for this team. Reed even said this.
if i recall they didn't practice or watch film they went bowling...that was their preparedness
Going to Oakland later this year, cant wait to see the grizzlies play again
22:40 was a perfect encapsulation of Kentucky's final days under Calipari
I thought 46:51 was
@@chasecourtney4617 such an embarrassment, now he's in the G-League. Congratulations Justin Edwards.
@@chasecourtney4617 Another thing is he was a top 5 recruit let that sink in for a moment.

Thanks for the informative explanation!
Coach Calipari's last game at Kentucky. Plus Jack Gohlke can't miss!
This was also in his hometown of Pittsburgh (born in Moon Township).
Jack Gohlke was pulling out his inner Steph Curry
And this is why John Calipari is no longer the coach at Kentucky.

This was so fun to watch
And now Cal is gone. Thank God
right,like watching 2016 warriors
Mark Pope will do what Cal COULDN’T do, be about Kentucky and not the NBA
The kids futures are worth more than winning games
@@nbagoathighlights8592 That's not what the job is. The job is to win.

As does every college basketball team, when it comes to banners hung ! lol 😂

Kentucky should’ve known it was over @0:48 🤣🤣 Bro stood up ready and he was💀💀
BREAKING NEWS: Oakland will meet John Calipari come 2024-25 (Arkansas will host Oakland at Bud Walton Arena).
Can you please upload MSU vs Kentucky Basketbowl game from 2003?
MSU is one of 12 teams to have multiple NY6 Bowl Wins since the CFP started…
Simply a putrid coaching effort by Calipari.
