- What we thought was our next project is junk. After another shop had their way with this car they made more work then they fixed. So we bought a 53 Chevy 210 to work with!

Thanks for watching!
Ya can blame Casey Customs for stuff like this... he inspires this kinda fab 😅
That's what i was just thinking 👍
I liked Casey customs but he got too (silly like in too much funnies) in fact VGG got like that I like funny but when it's over the top too funny takes away from what some of us really wanna watch they are good channels don't get me wrong
Funny you say that bc I was literally wondering if he bought it from Casey at first. But afyer seeing all that was wrong i realized Casey is a little better than that. 😂
Just a little bit better 🤣
That’s awful someone exspecialy a shop would do that to someone’s car. But glad to see you found a different car for your client. And you can still do a build.
Just like an episode of Customer Stated...😂
Yep that other shop was in Lenexa Ks … they didn’t even give me any lube for that one but Anothy has built some nice rides for my wife and I so can’t wait to see the 53 done. The ford f250 and the Willys turned out awesome!!!!!
I got you bro!
What's gonna happen to basket case body
@@donniehamlett2157 furniture for my man cave
No one deserves to be taken advantage of like that. You need to take it back, tell them to give you your money back or you are gonna put them on blast here.
In MY opinion, the back definitely needs some work. Way too flat!!!!Still, a cool car, just giving my opinion since you asked.
And the first car, I feel bad for the owner. Really all I can say about that one.
i think maybe the people workin on that chev were singin " one bourbon , one scotch and one beer " ...maybe
Id like to take the junk body and put it on a 4x4 mud drag frame...its beat just enough
Holy Crap!! This Car is not ready for the road!!
I thought it was some kids first build, but the you said shop😂
Build it if he is willing to pay to have it done RIGHT. I would get payed half up front then payed as you go. Could be nice if done right
Chassis swap
Just about to start on a 51 Fleet Line myself, and it's crazy how similar the setup is to this one. Except mine is sitting on a full 76 ElCamino chassis, original 350 2bbl, runs and drives good. However the sheet metal work and floor pans that they touched look pretty much exactly like the quality of the one on your hoist...
Sounds like you got your work cut out for you.
What a great video, showing walk arounds on 2 different build jobs, 1 did a good job so far, and 1 did a butcher job. You are far better off by cutting your losses on the one car, and that's really sad, but it happens. This shows all of us to beware the pitfalls of buying old cars and trucks. Safety first, people.
Ot is sad how a shop can do that poor men ship and lay about the condition of the car as for the olds tail lights no thay need to go.
Garbage... reminds me of a jeep I saw once.
Lol
Bolts add weight
😅
Hope this gives the channel the boost it deserves.
Oh it will be alright she's ready for sanding and painting oh gee don't be so had on the poor old girl 😂😂😂😂
What a shame to ruin a car like that.
The 53 is more promissing
👋 Anthony and Julie..
Yall keepin busy....😎👍
WOW Jusst WOW that is a cool car with some issues, a mid seventies GM car frame and floorpan with a cool body, but wow the waste of good parts. Second car is so much better!
Wow very scary
The name of that other "shop" must be Tweeker Customs.
Lol
this is exactly why I only work on my own stuff. Everyone wants to hack through a build get paid and move on, customer wants a premo build at goofball prices. No one is happy the builder the customer, or the next person who knows where to look.
This is why I quit working on customer cars. Those guys give us good guys a bad name. Now no one want to pay for good work because to many hacks out there and they don’t trust you. Then you give them a deal and then they want it in a week, you know, tv time restoration. 😂
Looking at I would say that this is a 100% tear down and rebuild it correctly. There is a ton of parts that make it worth while.
Actually it's a cool looking ole car. She's rough but ain't nothing that can't be fixed.
The problem is that when you're paying for some else to do the work the time to fix it would cost way more then buying a new car to start with.
HardCore Fab, This is amazing! I subscribed right away!
Looks as if some kid with a saws all and stick welder went to town on it while hung over on a Monday morning. With your talent and know how built your own chassis and set that sexy body on it.
Very shoddy work. You got your work cutout for you
Sorry about the junk car. Seen it so many times. The 53 is real clean looking. A lot to work with. Question; can you cut off the roof and trunk section of the 51 and graft it on to the 53? Instant chop and smaller rear window. And a bonus of a fast back/tapered rear trunk (less square). Saw it done on a 54 once. Definitely catches the eye. 2nd question; can you take the upper rear fenders and graft them also. IMHO, the 53-4 has always been a little too square for a custom. And a chopped top accentuates the "stepped on look". (we used a 48 Ford rear window in our 54 chop. And laid it down as much as possible... ) Have fun!! Will be watching!
There are definitely options for all that. We're not 100 percent sure which why we are going to go at it just yet!
I got quite excited waiting for you to say something like 'But hell we'll get it sorted' and then... The 1950s British Vauxhall must have been a copy of the new car, 'cept they probably had more rust! No, they definitely did. By the way, do you have any hills?
Lol and what's a hill...
How much you want for this 500 dollar pile of scrap 😂
Keep the good stuff and junk the rest! If you can find any good stuff!
You know what they say just send it, No not at all. Hopefully nobody drove that thing that didn't have a death wish. It's unfortunate and most of us know there are to many of these shops out there that don't have a clue or just don't care. Guy is fortunate he took it to you. To bad something that could have been cool is such a loss. Looks like a nice replacement though.Tailights not to bad IMO.
Think it'll be nice to watch multiple builds coming along and make weekly videos even better. Why wouldn't you if you could would more be what I'd think. Looking forward to seeing Hanks progress. Oh yeah if you do decide your bored with the Vette cart orange is one of my favorite colors😁
Lol I don't think I'm that bored with it!
I figured this was just someone’s rainy day project and all the things left undone were just because 17:04 of lack of time or motivation or $$ to actually finish it … then you said it was worked on by a shop and ready to drive … 🤯
Yeah pretty messed up deal!
I think you need to take this car and rebuild it and make the customer happy with it😊
Holy smokes I thought I was watching a Mortskie Repair channel....lol
Lol
Are you going to convoy to Ratstock in Sep? I’m in TX and want to join you in my ‘49 Chevy pickup!
That is the plan. Probably talk more about it in the next video
Cant wait to see you work your magic on this ride. You're such an artist.
slap on a good paint job and she's ready 2 go, i think your sweating the small stuff, just don't get er over 17 miles per hour and you'll be looking just fine, and remember always wear your seat belt,, it ain't about the car its about the ride...
With the body not bolted down, I'm not sure I would want to even go 17 miles an hour in it. LOL
Someone dragged that out of BC's yard in Canada?
Oh wow! Yeah that’s some sketchy work
It's pretty bad but I'm sure with your skills you could turn it around and make a nice ride out of it
I would like to watch you doing it up right it could be sweet car .
I don't know, it sounds like your just making excuses to not build it, never known you to be afraid of a challenge or maybe you just don't like that style of car but anyone with interest would be separating the body and chassis to make it right
I'm not afraid of it. Like I said in the video to get it right, and safe will eat up the owners whole budget. Starting with a new car that is in better shape will let us have time to make it cool.
I have a 51 convertible I want to save I will have to build flat floors but have to keep the xframe I will s10 clip the front and build a two link for the rear.
Sounds like a fun project!
Can’t believe some shops still turn out a car like that 👍👍
us a torch and shrink the panals have fun with the rest
What a butcher job 😬 put down the tools 😂
Get your welder out save a chevy homie
I was thinking this was an amature learning how to build until you said it came outta a shop 😮
Yeah.....
More trouble than it's worth.
I have a picture saved of a 50's chevy with a late 70's camaro top grafted on it. It looks awesome. It basically became a chopped hard top.
Hmm sounds interesting
I sent you the pic@@HardCoreFab
There you go new you could do it 😂
That needs to be my car........a frankencar good video
LOL
The 51 is a content goldmine. Unfortunately, there is a lot of stuff like that around. People still want to know how to correct these kind of issues. You could have years worth of videos teaching viewers what to do if we buy something with one or two of these major problems. It is really no different than starting with an extremely rusty car. It may not be recommended to start with something this bad, but it can be done and I would watch every episode of how you would make it right.
Anthony what a Bag of 💩 That shop’s work is Take all the good parts out of it and Make it Yard ART Glad you are doing this second Car Going to be a great Build
Man, that is scary!!
You can fixit
Whew. Got sick to my stomach at the first half of this video. You healed me with the second half of this video. Crush the other one when you strip the good parts from it.
Is Connor a friend or family, or employee?
Conner is an employee and his family is good friends with ours. We've watched him grow up.
Ive got those same Dolphin gauges in my 78 F100
Is that good thing or a bad thing I have never run them?
@HardCoreFab I love them, they work fantastically.
" 54 chev tail lights might look good
Who done that to that car? I am from the area we need to put them out of business, or stop them from doing it again. Damn
I am told they are out of business now
@@HardCoreFabCool that good, thank you
Great video thanks 👍
I like this project. Total inexperience is one of the problems, plus attitude and they started rushing so they could get a paycheck. I could be wrong but I doubt it.
I'm sure you're right
Looks like
A whole lot of no planing
That's one way to put it
I'm looking forward to watching you do the chop and rear window swap! I have a 51 I would like to chop. Show lots of detail please!
Will do?
The first car looks like a nightmare! What if you find a stock car chassis and do a street legal stock car build in the future?
I would love to do that at some point!
The '51 was giving me Jeep rod vibes. 😀
Lol
