Great vlog!! You both are so good at sharing relevant information for RVers. Your salesman was interesting. He glossed over the 20 year vs 10 year loan on an RV. Holy Cow!!! He is correct that you do your own research BEFORE walking into the dealership. But to pay a little higher interest rate for a 20-year loan!?! Thats a aure way to stay upside down in a loan and never getting out of it. You have to consider a backup plan if health or other issue forces you to sell the RV. A long term loan will never have equity.
I want a B van so bad , but that is what I am scared of is getting messed over . I still have a few years before I’ll be ready to buy so I’m glad you are telling people about this.

We bought our first LTV at a dealer in Ohio & it was a terrible experience. We felt pressured and fell for some of it. We bought our second new LTV at Howard RV in Wilmington NC and had a great experience. There was no pressure at all, and we've had great service there ever since.
I have lived in the Deep South all of my life. Those were definitely fire ants that attacked you. I highly recommend you keep some Benadryl and Pepcid (Benadryl is a H1 blocker and Pepcid is an H2 blocker) on hand in case you have an allergic reaction to them one day. I just found your channel. Just bought my used class c 2 weeks ago. I first negotiated price and did say I wanted to finance. After agreed price I did apply to finance but with over 800+ credit score they got me 8.99%. I said no thank you I’ll pay cash and was given the same price. They tried to push the extended warranties and I said no thank you. I got a third party RV Inspection got a few things fixed and think I got a fair deal. I watched a lot of car dealer tactics to be prepared and to fight their tactics. Knowledge is power.
Also report them and post bad reviews. It sucks consumer protections were included for RV purchases but they can’t do the bait and switch or false advertising. Report, report, report.

I booked an overnight spot from our way back from sleeping Baer dunes to Rochester, Mi ( I am sure you know exactly the locations..😁) and they ask me for the same $20 just to confirm the site I selected. I refused, will see if we get that site or not. It’s $60 a night and it seems they want to squeeze out every penny. I also almost canceled because it’s annoying to me. Do all your shopping on-line and then go see what you are interested in person. Then do all your negotiations on-line with every penny accounted for. Don't agree to purchase unless it is written in the contract that you will not close until you have YOUR certified inspector do a complete inspection. Then agree to purchase only If other than minor issue that the dealer can fully address are repaired right away. If the dealer will not agree to those terms, don't walk, RUN.
I was drivin box truck and the engine blew up out by shreveport la. I got out to tilt up the hood and didn't know about them things. I had shorts on and was drivin in sandles I stepped on a big ant hill thinkin it would get me up a little higher to look at the engine . When they started healin they looked like a small pox attack on my feet. Think I spent 10 days with little to no money at the shreveport truck stop. Louisiana is a wonderful place ta visit but not stranded with no money.
The fire ants will run you out of your pants and shoes. I have several hills after rain in South Carolina. With so many trees down, we are having problems with bugs.

We have two young boys and we love to go camping at jellystone and would love to go in an RV I stead of renting a Cabin. We are looking at a 2005 four wind class C 55k miles for $22k and was wondering if that is a reasonable price? Thanks for all your advice 😊
And those fire ants have these hooks on the end of their mandibles and cling to your skin. They are awful. My mother was putting on her robe (They had recently had their house built) and there were fire ants all in her robe. She ended up going to to the ER and got some shots of Benadryl. Benadryl and help different things. Allergic reaction you could take 75mg oral and get to hospital. If your feeling anxious Benadryl can help calm you down. It helps for allergies and help you get to sleep. Good idea to keep some Benadryl liquid and tablets in your rig. I was a nurse and I saw Doctors give 100mg Benadryl I.M (injection in your arm) to calm a psychotic patient down so you can take 50mg-100mg in a emergency allergy reaction til you get to Hospital. lol. TMI sorry I hate fire ants. Safe travels
