I haven't played in a long time because of work and school but I played recently and I never saw the 4th ability charge up. Did they remove it???
@@GRANOLA77 The ability is still in the game but some nerfs have been applied since this gameplay. The 4th ability Retribution now only charges up when nearby teammates take damage. Hence it can be difficult to get on Capital Supremacy on the ground phase

King K yeah anakin is really easy to kill Vader no problem count dokku no problem Palpatine you have a high chance boba no problem phasma again high chance even iden but would be harder I think the guy that wouldn’t be that good against anakin would be the ball, and maul Palpatine I feel that it’s easy sometimes to kill anakin so sometimes they are good it’s unfortunate that they had to do so many nerfs when the last nerf was bs I get why though he was enjoyable but annoying

Anakin's release to SWB2 may have been the most OP character I've ever seen in a video game to be honest. The memories of when Heroic Might would grow substantially in both radius and damage so you could insta-kill heroes across the map haha

They were really satisfying, especially retribution when enemies could get killed one at a time and you hear the kill sound multiple times

True. But tbh I’ve found that Maul with the right setup (Triple spin quicker ability regeneration and furious throw) can basically destroy him if you play it right and dodge his strikes and block his abilities)

I vividly remember these days. Anyone who chose anakin usually won the game alone it was nuts how busted he was. I wanted to experience this power so much but he was always already being played. Then one day is happened. Day before his patch. I experieced the most broken hero and turned the tides of the game. I'll never forget that 13 caught reteibution kill.

I will never forget the moment an Anakin single handedly ruined a GA match for me and possibly ton of other players. We were on Endor playing as the Empire side and I was Darth Maul with a few other heroes. A good match it was, we were having fun up until the final part where we had to take control of that final room. During the match we noticed an Anakin and did everything to avoid him as we knew how ridiculously OP he was back then and I think he was killed during the match but the dude playing as him had lots of credits so I think he came back (I dont remember how long Anakin was present). Anyway, in that final part, that asshole playing as Anakin finally used his middle ability and choked all of us. All we could do was watch in horror as we were choked and shot down by enemy troops as we watched, not being able to do anything. That day was the day i sensed a build up in darkness in not just myself, but many other players because of that damn OP Spamakin, I was so pissed i reported that player even though it was obviously stupid and pointless but that damn Spamakin created a bunch of sith lords with that one ability. Im not resentful towards that player nor do i wish pain on him. I wasnt pissed we lost as i do not care about winning or losing but rather the experience, i was just so pissed by how all the fun we were having was basically killed in just a few seconds.
Yea back during Anakin's prime all you could do as the villains was stay away from him completely. When Anakin arrived it seemed impossible to get a good game as a villain. I died so many times as especially Darth Maul and Palpatine.

Actually, he balanced it. Villains are in general stronger than hero's. That was kinda fixed with anakin, now it's unbalanced again.
For HvV the heroes definitely needed some help. In general they needed someone with a pull ability to deal with Palpatine and Boba

im glad that was nerfed, but it kinda sucks how the sound effect was cut, i wish retribution could be extended, but made much harder to obtain
yes I think most of the nerfs to Anakin were needed but it sure was fun to play as him back in the day. The sound of retribution was amazing

This was the only time outside of the Clone Wars episode when he brought the Son and Daughter to their knees where Anakin genuinely felt like the Chosen One.
Exactly during this time apart from the Clone Wars he definitely felt like the chosen one
there is nothing like the audio of like angels singing as you choke everyone around u slowly going up... the ability was not only stronger back then but a more cinematicly epic and pleasing. I’ll forever miss it 😭🙏🏼
It was way more cinematic and I miss it too. It should have remained 4 seconds. I agree it might have been to easy to get it but its power level should have stayed the same for the multi kills and for how cool it looked and sounded

I'm honestly glad I didn't start playing until a few months ago. I'm so use to using Anakin as he is now that if I was around when the nerd happened I would have been greatly disappointed. Anakin is a good character to play as still

I agree, while I get extremely strong characters/weapons/etc. in any game can lead to frustration, it’s what makes them the most fun. Nerfs are always overdone, I feel instead of large scale nerfs devs should do small scale ones and instead do buffs to other characters

Reino Piirilä freeze is 4 seconds long and that’s on a 20 second cool down... I don’t think it would be OP because Retribution takes such a long time to charge up. You want it to be a great and satisfying ability to use.

Ferchobihh freese is also more often, I think it would be fine for retribution to do damage and stun for 4 seconds if it has a long ‘cooldown’

The good days, honestly i miss that Anakin not only by the fact that when you where using it you felt like god but also as a villian you need to think a lot, be fast and strategic to beat him, not now that the rookies think he is inmortal and they go after you without a plan
Same, I feel they overnerfed him. Not to mention how glitchy his heroic might is. Anakin has simply no good tool if you run out of stamina and he can easily be chased down when you are in need of escaping

They should make a What If episode about it. Anakin at full potential should be similar to a Mortis god. He should have the power to rip up entire battlefields with the Force alone. He can't be in a game though, because he'd just hold out a hand and suddenly the entire CIS base would be crushed into a ball.
I remember purposefully not playing Anakin at all to prevent more people from feeling the pain I'd endured

Just to explain this a little: before anakin came out everyone was complaining that the dark side way over powered the light and that’s part of the reason anakin came out as OP as he was.
That's very true. The dark side was so OP that people begged for Anakin to be strong and people still had doubts that one character could impossibly make the light side step up their game against the dark side. However they did not anticipate Anakin being OP to this extent haha
Just now, Anakin got 21 kills in heroes vs villains and got 14K damage he finished 2nd place behind Rey (who I was playing as) who also got 21 kills.

Update:Anakin finished second one again by Rey (who I was playing again).
So does that mean Rey/Anakin are Tied for the best Hero’s vs Villians Hero but Anakin is the best for galactic assault/capital supremacy.
@@reynihilus2019 I think that depends on the player. Both of those heroes are very good as mass trooper slayers but Luke is on par with them both. For Capital Supremacy Anakin is 100 % the best though since the competition is not very tough haha

@@carterratzlaff9941 I would fix his heroic might, right now it is glitching out and doesn't apply damage reduction during his release animation. I would also revert the damage on his Passionate strike and make his Massive strikes star card viable again. Then of course I would like Retribution to be 4 s again :)

It is very painful. Anakin still has his pros but there are certainly lots of cons, not to mention how glitchy heroic might has become

I remember on launch day for Anakin, me and my friend were playing HvV. I got Anakin, and he got Chewbacca (who, at the time, was extremely strong). Due to it being the target system, you could wrack a whole bunch of points up. Well, our teammates left, and it was a 2 v 4. We lost, but by the end of it we had 80k score. So fuckin fun, I miss being able to carry a team with him.
I can imagine that game must've been a lot of fun. Old pre-nerfed Chewbacca with launch Anakin. RIP the villains haha
