I was happy to see that there are a few posts out there for the Korg, I love the KORG O1/Wfd, it was my first grownup keyboard. In it’s day it was the awesome. That Demo song has a pretty cool drum pattern almost sounds real at certain points. I actually broke out the O1W to pull midi to convert them for my Yamaha Motif ES8, another Keyboard I want to update. In to process I discovered that I still liked some of the sounds so I plan on using it on a few tracks. Take care, Ed
The O1/w was Wicked! The SEQ in was way better than any software available. I remember using an Atari computer with MASTER TRACKS and gave up because the internal SEQ in the O1 was so much better. Thanks for sharing!
I loved the sequencer on my O1/Wfd. To this day, it's still 1 of my all time favorites. (thought the Triton's is excellent too). It was very simple to use, yet powerful. I like the sequencer on my Kronos X 88, but it's a little,....well, more "complex" than "complicated. I really miss my O1/Wfd. I bought it in the early-mid 1990's & late in 2000 it just died for no reason. I tried to have it fixed, but I was told that is was "beyond repair". :-(
I believe all the demo tracks for the Korg 01/W was made by Stephen Kay, the inventor of the Karma system. Search for Stephen Kay and Karma-Lab and you'll find it, he alsa did a couple of demos for Roland and Alesis.
so sad to hear that, I know how it feels, it happens with my Yamaha DX7, and in those situation, it's hard to admit that it just can't be repaired, and just let it go.
Rock Show is gotta be one of the best synth demo tunes ever made, amazing! Korg 01W rules!
This is one of the best workstation demos out there along with the ones produced for the Korg T and M series.

Coll I have many more "signature" songs from wellknown artists. A must listen to !
Excellent demo! The O1W is still a great synth with the Wavestation showing it's the pilot first and foremost.
