Last of the V-8 Interceptors. A real piece of history. Would've been a shame to blow it up.
........ A p, p, p, p, piece from here , and a p, p, p, p, piece from there,
"Kick it in the guts Barry,"
An AMX with A 401 V8 and Supercharger , Was Mad Max's Police Interceptor !
Yup The Ford Falcon XB (only available in Australia at the time) was used for the interceptor and the four door version was used for the other police cars in the original Mad Max.
Loving what the laser is allowing you to do with your cars. The windshield looks particularly great!
Great inspiration and tips. I got two of these Falcons and plan on putting customizations to them to look more like the Yellow MFP cars from the first movie. I'll have to fabricate the roof spoiler, bumper skirt, and fender flairs, add a siren/light bar and paint scheme. I found an Australian company that makes the decals for these in 1/64. It's my first attempt trying a mod, hope it goes well. Cheers!
LASERS !!!! got to love them... "Sharks with Fricken Laser Beams" Amazing... simply amazing
Ah my Ozzy juices are flowing with this beast from our recent not too distant past! Always amazed with the work you do, it’s definitely a talent no doubt. Yes the game is great, definitely worth getting stuck in. Keep the great work coming.👍🏻
This is amazing! The car has so much character to it. The different colored parts making it seem like it started out an incomplete car. The rust making it seem old, the windshield and bullet holes making it seem battle worn. Finally the dirt and sand on the wheels making it look like its been driving through miles of wasteland. This car tells a story just from its appearance alone!
Knowing how George miller gave every character a backstory in Mad Max 2 he would be proud!
This is MY FAVORITE car you have ever built
Your paint work and weathering continues to get to better and better. Great job man!
It's a thing of beauty! I made a comment on your last video about using a '73 Ford Falcon, oddly enough. Greenlight manufacture a Mad Max Falcon ( I have one, and it's superb). The bullet damage looks fine - it might have been shot at with a .40 cal machine gun.
Too bad they can't use the Mad Max name on their Falcon diecasts. Instead, they're marketed as "Last of the V8 Interceptors".
They're way too big for .40, .40 is just a fancy name for 10mm which is a pistol caliber
I haven't checked by this channel in a while, but your work is just as good as I remember.
Your custom cars just keep getting better and better. The laser is definitely helping you to take things to the next level. A master of your craft. Thank you for sharing with us all 👍🏼
I love this Mad Max custom Gas Lands, it looks brilliant.
Epic! The enlarged bullet holes look perfect, like the car's been shot with some insane high caliber thumper gun. The glass is wonderful too.
It's great to see the effects that you're getting with the laser. Might be cool to do the "paint over paint" effect with the MFP Interceptor colors underneath.
Keep them Mad Max customs flowing! Kinda wished you did this just like it was in the movie.
Never fail to amaze.
Cheers for posting
Excellent transformation! Love it!
U make it look beat up,
But it looks as beautiful
Truly a work of art.
This Mad Max series is AWESOME!
I've been subscribed and watching your videos for about 2months now I have to say that you do such amazing work!!!
I wish I could do what you do, you are a true artist and I'm inspired every time I watch your videos!
The bullet holes look so sick, just that final touch sets them off. I don't think they're too out of scale, it looks like they got hit with a large caliber like a .50 cal round. Again amazing work like always.
That's exactly what I was thinking. The body got peppered with 50 Cal rounds at some point.
I'm working in 1/24 scale, so not really appropriate for hotwheels cars, but i did bullet holes with a small drill right through, and then a large drill to bevel the edges of that hole. I then painted it silver. doing them bigger makes them look more 'hollywood'. flic.kr/p/25v9D5M
That windshield lasering was a genius idea!
Also if anyone is buying Chinese lasers, build a housing which blocks the laser light completely. The goggles they give you are probably just tinted plastic and don't block anything, so watching the laser is frying your corneas, giving you cataracts later in life. BaremetalHW's good laser is a CO2 UV laser which is a different sort. These cheap Chinese machines use 2W to 5W blue lasers with a variety of wavelengths.
Outstanding work! those dislikes are probably from those serious collectors who keep their toys on their packages.
Fantastic job. Amazed.
I'm not as big a fan of this build as I am of some of the others but I appreciate your hard work and that you shared the video with us. Matters of personal taste don't negate the effort. I can't wait for the next one.
Thanks for the tips. Nice work and entertaining video.
Amazing !. Your passion shows !.
Love the build, especially the cracked windows.
You are incredibly creative. The detail you go to is awesome. Wow. Well done.
Wow! Incredible work and that laser etching is so cool! The windshield, weathering, bullet holes, fully impressed 👌
The glass looks wonderful!
Really impressive, you didn't miss one detail. 👍
These are awesome. You've inspired me to get back into model kitting
One of your best work. Well done!
I thought you were going to do the original black interveptor from the first movie. Very nice model, loved the rust.
It's incredible what people can do!
If you do play Gaslands, please consider making a video recapping/reviewing the experience! It would be amazing to see all your Mad Max customs all together!
the laser is taking your work to the top tier; nice work!!
I owned one off these beauties... with the 351 in it... only sold it to get into my first home back in the day... now I am 56 and need a lottery win to afford another one haha... such is life...
Cool build love the details 👍👍
I think the hope when he gave you this car, was that you would make the Mad Max Falcon.
Great work...
Parabéns pela customização!
Good job. It is a nice custom
One of my favorite! This is friggen art
The Mad Max video game is really good. I'd highly recommend trying it out. It might get repetitive if you get into it too much, but it has a fun gameplay and an interesting enviroment with a fairly good story. Also great job on the car.
Awesome!! Amazing job!! That is some SERIOUS talent and skill.
The effects you're achieving with the laser are great. I was especially impressed with the windshield. Super cool.
Simply amazing
Awesome. Great job!
Awesome creation.
Very slick work
I haven't seen a laser engraver since 2000-01 when I worked in a trophy shop. That thing was amazing and I wish I was able to play with it and see what I could do with different materials but the $70,000 price tag meant it was for plaques and and labels only, obviously to make the money back. It's been almost 20 years and I'll never forget how precise and exact that thing was, even with depth on wood and ABS. I remember one time I misspelled a name on a $90 marble on gold plaque and only realized it after I hit print and the laser already started. The owner knew I was scared to death and justified the loss by saying, "Well, we don't have one of these on display out front yet, I guess we do now".
Real great video. Like the addition of the laser.
I don't play the game either but I love the modding hobby and your work is incredible sir! Thumbs up!
Fantastic job
