Good video, a good review of something I haven't done in a few years. Thanks

I noticed that you use Valvoline products in many of your other videos, so I was wondering if there was a particular reason why you didn't choose Valvoline Synchromesh manual transmission fluid instead of the Mopar NSG 370 transmission fluid? It's an approved replacement for the 04874464 Mopar NSG 370 transmission fluid, and about 1/4 of the price at only $11 a quart.

You're pretty observant! Growing up my dad always used Valvoline products in every one of his vehicles. He was always able to get 200-400k miles on them before getting rid of them. I guess I've just seen how good of luck he has had with Valvoline and stuck with them myself. When it comes to the transmissions, I tend to only use the OEM fluid. Automatics especially are really finicky and complicated systems. I don't like mixing the ATF fluids and I think the OEMs tend to put what friction and other additives in them to make them run smooth. Manuals are robust and a lot simpler but I still choose to go with the Mopar fluid in this case. I don't think you can go wrong by putting Valvoline in the tranny though!
