You buy this for the reliability, comfort and quality in terms of interior, exterior and everything else Lexus offers. Free loaner vehicle when in service, etc. 4cylinder turbo, who cares, you are not racing people or off-roading, taking the kids to soccer practice and enjoying your vehicle when you drive for work like I do. Buying a base model next week

I agree it doesn’t make sense to place a four cylinder engine in such a bigger SUV..!!! Personally I don’t like the 4 Cylinder Engine Period.!!! I feel that it’s going to be over worked with the Turbo and the Tx Being such a large Vehicle..!!! Time will tell…. But why go with a four Cylinder when they could’ve used a 6 Cylinder.!!!

    Ben, honest question.
Talking interiors. Specificity color. Why do you think most trims, models and manufacturers have dark gray or black interior as a primary option?
There's the easy to clean aspect I suppose, and maybe it's just as simple as they're more cost effective for the manufacturer, but it just seems strange that one could argue almost every new car has this or an extremely similar color interior.
Of course there are examples of other color interiors but they are not nearly as common.
If there is an alternative color interior offered there is a big premium that needs to be paid.
So why all the plain black or dark gray interiors? Are manufacturers scared to be different? Are they punishing buyers of lower trim levels with bland options? The higher trims get more color for more affluent buyers? Are we just being convinced to accept bland as normal and are to be convinced bland is nice?

Most buyers just want plain boring interiors

Agree with your comment on the 4 cylinder engine. I had a Bronco with the turbo 4 and although it was adequate for everyday driving, I felt it had to work too hard to move all that weight. I now have a Bronco with the twin turbo six, which is much better. Thanks for a nice review.

No. Not even close to being best. That said it’s going to sell like nickel beer. I’m shocked it too Lexus this long to get this to market.

Where is the leather? Where is the wood? Where is the carbon fiber? Where is the Alcantara from the looks of it on the video that looks far from a luxury interior. You also sounded bored.

Repackaged Toyota. Lexus has given up on trying to lead in anything, except sales. Their quality and reliability will ensure success but people who actually cars will fall asleep.

Nice interior and space in the back, crappy engine that sounds like garbage. If the Toyota Sequoia had this interior I'd buy it, or if this had the Sequoia powertrain. Instead I just bought an F150 lol.
