Thanks for honest reviews of this unit and its accessories. I’ve watch most of your videos of this unit. My wife and I like the 2108DS and I’m on the fence about the FLX version. It seems unnecessarily complicated vs the standard version. I’m not sure if it’s worth the extra cost. Think the money can go to an extra solar panel and better fans and you’re still not close to the price of the flex. Your videos have been super helpful. Ty.
Hey Ty, thank you (and your wife) so much for the support! While I have grand aspirations, I don’t earn a penny from any of this so I genuinely love reading kind words and comments such as your own. They really help sustain me. Re: the Winnebago, I actually just spent the last 20-minutes typing out an answer considering the various aspects and considerations of the non-FLX compared to the FLX and, well, I think I’m just going to go ahead and make a full video for you. lol It’s a decision I agonized over myself and I feel like I can make a video which would both be helpful to people in the same position as you are as well as maybe Winnebago themselves. Speaking of which, I can only imagine they don’t like me very much talking so frankly about this product; at the end of the day, I just want them to make the best product they can because I want to use the best product available, but whether they see it that way is another matter. lol Anyway, keep an eye out for that video. I’m going to take the trailer out to a quiet spot this weekend to film so keep an eye out for that in the near future. I’m just not sure if I should release that video before I’ve finished the ‘Water System Deep Dive’ video…. If you’re trying to make your decision in the next 2-weeks please let me know and I’ll prioritize this one for you.
Thanks so much. No, please keep to your normal schedule planned videos. No rush on the flx vs non flx video. We are retiring next year and are narrowing down our choice. We toured the 2108 flx and it’s definitely our favorite floor plan especially with the couch slide out version. Our primary purpose is to travel back and forth from GA to FL to visit our kids and grandkids. But like you I am a cyclist and definitely see myself using it for my base camp for cycling/fishing adventures. Definitely look forward to your next video. Ty!!
@@FL-PHILLIP I was stuck in the same position trying to figure out if I’m going to buy the regular or the FLX. And the reason I went with the FLX was because of the truma appliances. You just don’t get any more efficient than what Truma offers. I was going to buy a regular micro mini and then just install my own solar system and battery system, but after doing cost analysis, I was going to spend about the same amount so I decided I would rather have the truma appliances. And by the way, the solar system and battery system on the FLX is a great system and can be slowly modified overtime to increase battery capacity, which is really all you need.

Kind of late doing a review on the 2024 model !
Not at all. Why do you think so?
