stalin wasnt ready for barberossa as i recall he was going to invade germany before germany would invade the ussr, thus he had his army ready at an offensive posture, rather than a defensive one which led to huge losses as well as other factors, one of the factors that that the ussr was winter, siberian troops(good in winter combat) and the fact that german troops were losing much and much more men and equipment and becuase of winter the operation typhoon was called of whereafter the soviet winter offensive came 1941-1942l
you should (in short explain) fall blau, the soviet operation uranus, and then offensives like little saturn, as well as battle of kursk which wasnt even mentioned after barberossa you just quickly went to 1944 the beginning of the end for the germans

I never understood why they didn't use Siberian divisions in Finland, instead they used Ukrainian ones who don't know how to fight in such an area.
Lack of transmission and lack of oil was also a huge factor for German loss. As well as the fact that... well Soviet Union wouldn't surrender until every inch up until Vladivostok was conquered, so it'd be an eternal war, of one of most populous countries in the world against a (in comparison) small Germany.
Many partisans rising up in German-occupied territories as well as collaborators actively betraying them is one of reasons why German supply also sucked, and it also sucked because it was horse-based, which wouldn't be bad if the war wasn't as big land-wise as it was.
We also have Zhukov's genius mind, among many other Soviet generals, (to further prove this, they arrived to Berlin before allies did, and compare the distances. Last time I checked, winter doesn't make you cross half of the continent in such a short time, tactics do.) Stalin and his men were very good at propaganda and Soviet production just toppled German production in every way.
And in the end, the fact Germany was largely based on slave economy (although not fully dependent on it, still very much dependent), the same slaves they were actively killing and thus wasting their resources on it made it just unable to compare in long-term with Soviet economy.

in my opinion if the germans i did take moscow, had they had more manpower, feul and had winter not come then it could have been a german victory
1. the german encirclment would be wide and this meant that a svoeit counter attack would be pushed back 50-100 miles ftrom moscow
2. all railroads in european russia converged on moscow meaning the soviet dont have the abilty to move theyre armies quickly anymore. and this could also ease the german supply situation as a logistical point
3. a lot of airfields were in and around moscow so if the german take these after the enicrclement is complete, means that the luftwaffe would have better airfields as a lot of previously used airfields were just crude mud constucts which increased the risk of accidents
the moscow region has the critical electrical stations that feed power to the evacuated factories behing the urals meaning if the german capture these, soviet industry could be stalled for a year this would be a critical blow to the soviets
just hypothecially of course,
but what if the germans created a indepth defense in the caucuses, and the sovets failed to breakthrough to the caucuses, if the germans were able to take all of the caucueses they would deprive the soviets 86% of theyre oil and gain a long term supply of it themselves
if this happend then i believe that the war could be won, but i cant explain this because it would take an entire essay to explain
