Hey can you do a tutorial on motion tracking your subject to change the background like Florencesoffia did in his video in instagram where he was walking around the well??@Matthew Paquette
@@matthewpaquette You did nothing... I said that you had to use my samples because it would be great to see how my animation can be improved with this program
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You saved my college final project! I came home today and my footage was like 12fps (should've been 24) and I used the program to smooth it out, worked perfectly!
@@L1Zxxzx with projects or cinematics/films you actually want to render in 24 or 48fps because of the frame shutter rate. You dont want to render in 60-120 or more fps like gaming vids, tho you can record at a higher framerate and then render at a lower with optical flow/interpolation/rsmb motion blur to make the frames feel smooth but still cinematic. Too smooth in edits can look very jaring and outta place, unless a part is slowed for velocity
I've found damn good uses for it: 1) Remastering old game footage from early youtube. I've started a small AI-powered remastering project on some old Yogscast videos I loved as a kid, and RIFE has gone down well with the folks I tested it on. 2) Rendering with Blender; depending on the speed of the animation, I've been rendering in blender at 15 or 30 frames a second, then later bumping it up to 60fps as RIFE renders 3 frames a lot quicker than blender can render one. And when I say quicker, I mean holy shit blender needs this technology. Or EEVEE-ray tracing and DLSS, that'd be useful af, but for now RIFE and AI software like Topaz video enchance to upscale my renders will work just fine.
Thats exactly what I came here for. I like animating in blender, preferably in 60 fps, but my scenes are so complex sometimes that my computer just cant handle that amount in the viewport. Thats why i now animate in 30 fps and then bumb it up to 60 in RIFE, works quite well, i gotta say.
it can ;p and on my tv with 30fps ingame i can play in 60 but with horrible smoothed input lag. For videos this tech is amazing. even very old videos look more alive, and its rendered in real time
@Untamed Corgi Adobe After Effects' one has been tweaked to work a little better, 50fps to 60fps with it's optical flow does pretty well, 30fps to 60fps does okay-ish
yo bro you are a lifesaver i had a ton of footage that got destroyed and were useless because of the fps and this saved me tysm bro you legit deserve 3 million subs
You are hilarious! And informative AF! I am retired from a lifetime of multimedia production….but I still want to keep my hand in…your AE videos helped me understand some features that I didn’t realize existed. I am a fan! Bigly!
I really like this style of vid. I'm tired of a bunch of hyper wannabes. This looks like a medium paced talk show. I like the microphone holding part. I'm subscribing.
Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for. I purchased an Elgato 4k60 pro Mk.2 and looking to interpolate PS5 Bloodborne framerate up to 60 or 120hz.
This is exactly what I needed to bring my restored music videos to better quality. I tried all that Anaconda prompts and that was just confusing. My PC can do one music video in 45 min with a 1060 6gb gifs card.
thank you so much for this! this is simply awesome! although in my case it has taken me over 2 hours to convert 30 minute videos but damn it's well worth it! it looks stunning in 60 fps!
I wish you tried this on cartoons. When I decided to dive into the series Bleach, I had to start with the early seasons and wasn't prepared for the choppiness of traditional animation.
Thank you Matt, after trawling around the web getting stung by so called free/but were paid sites, this is just what I've been looking for, although my GPU does not support cuda it still was able to use my CPU which was a relief. It worked really well, best used on small chunks I found. Thanks a bunch, and subbed.
My interest was Slow Motion. I compared Flow Frames to Kdenlive speed change feature and decided that at best they are equal. As the speed change feature is an easier work flow I will use it and I suggest others to compare and decide which way to go.
Excellent video! I am going to take 10 second ai clips from KlingAI, stretch them to 20 seconds by reducing the speed by 50%, then run those clips through this to increase the frame rate so it looks smooth(er). win win? We shall see.
This is awesome, thank you very much for sharing, you got yourself a new subscriber. It took my (slow laptop) computer 5 or 6 hours to render 100 frames last night, now I have 200 frames, it only took like 5 minutes (it says 3:34, but there's some setup that it does before). I'm going to try 4x to see how it does it.
Why am I not able to do something like that in Premiere? The video I've been given is 24fps but it's a converted video with 3:2 pulldown so some of the frames inside are duplicates. If I slow down the video I can see that my frames are: NewFrame NewFrame CopiedFrame, NewFrame NewFrame CopiedFrame, etc. This makes the video look choppy, but any attempt to duplicate framerate, also duplicates the static motion (the choppiness) that came with those CopiedFrames. The solution would actually be to manually delete every third frame which would make the 24fps video into a 16fps video, and then increase framerate with AI or fluid motion or something else. Is there any way to fix this kind of problem?
A command-line interface is not something only for smart people. It's for people that learned how to use a command-line interface. If you were able to learn video editing software, you're probably able to learn how to use a command-line interface. But I'm someone who learned how to use a command-line interface and I still prefer to use GUIs. It's just much more convenient. But a command-line interface is really nice if you want to write scripts for batch processing. Of course, then you also have to learn how to write scripts.
It worked on the video for 5 hours (10 minute video) and finally spit out an unplayable file that cannot be opened/replayed by any video player. I tried it on windows and macOS. Even VLC, virtualdub2 and Aviutil can't see it, the file is completely corrupt. Even THE program (this "flowframes") can't open it. Yet it was this program that created...
What up nerds! Any other ML models I should take a look at?
Yes ,one that can scale up the resolution for a video..you know with as little quality loss as possible.
Check out gimp and dark table

ML standing for Magic Lantern, alternative firmware for canon cameras that enable raw video !

This is a game changer for so many people 🤯
This is super professional and funny at the same time, and that camera quality too damn
Requirements: a pretty decent GPU
*shows a RTX 2070 Super
Me: *cries in intel hd graphics*
Can you use Intel?
i tried with Intel HD 620. It worked. But you need a very powerful cooler and you shouldn't do a video that's longer than 30 seconds at once.
same 😭
intel integrated hd graphics pentium inside 😏😎
Can I do it on iPhone 7 Plus?

The last couple videos have been great. Super useful tools. Thank you Matt!
Thanks so much!
*This is literally a game breaking software for an animator, thanks*
Hope it doesn't break the game
60 fps doesnt make animation better
I think results might be... iffy with animation.
Definitely literally make your animation look busted... SMH
Apparently animators hate it especially when it comes to drawing effects or 'animating in twos'
I just wanted to stop by and say, you helped me out a lot, I had a 5s clip with too low of a framrate and I'm on a deadline.
Thank you!
could one use this to double the framerate of a 30fps game recorded at 60fps?

this great for animators, you can slash the frames that you would have to manually draw which saves a lot of time and effort

“You are going to need a pretty decent GPU.”

it still works, its just slower and has a resolution limit
Thank you so much :D
I guess it can be very helpfull if you film some clips in 24fps and you decide afterwards that you want to slow it down
Totally! Make those suckers 48 frames!

software aside, this guy's presantation and way of communicating is really good lool. you earned a sub mate
i think this is best used for slowing something down then making it smooth again(like in all these AMV videos)
