Hello! Hope you’ve been doing well my friend. When I first started regularly watching UA-cam I found you and watched you often then. My interests change and flow, yet I’ve always kept you on my follow list, because I value you and your knowledge, very much.
    Thanks for another video,

I recall way back in the early 70's when the family went to Florida for vacation. I brought back with me a collection of rocks that were glued to a sheet of cardboard. One of the rocks was quartz crystal. So I decided to use it to create a crystal radio. It became the diode. The rest was your usual wire, wrapped around a toilet roll cardboard, and the headphones were composed of what was left of some old discarded telephone handsets. Worked perfectly. You could select channels by either moving the pickup point on the wire coil, or by moving the wire poke point on the quartz crystal.

I used to build crystal radio kits as a kid. The only ones I could really get to work were the science fair ones from radio shack. Its hard for me to hear them though being hearing impaired. Chuck has an amazing collection!

It would be nice to do a band scan with that crystal radio and see what you'd hear. Hopefully not just electric fence! I made on from a 60 in one kit as a kid and it worked pretty well. Thanks for sharing! 😎❤️👍

Hi .. thank you for the video... tried to find a radio station on a crystal radio made like the schematic, but heard only noise .....I might have to try and use a longer antenna (by night) :-)) ...or try to make a simple DIY radio for FM....rgds Kim

You may have better luck with a Crystal Radio that has a tank circuit.

@@AllAmericanFiveRadio Hi, sorry that I can't show you my regenerative one transistor FM radio receiver working:-)). in order to hear the stations I used your two stage amplifier (not 2N2222) but with BC547 and added one BD139 and 100R to the BD139 collector... output sufficient to hear music and voices by use of a 16R cone tweeter...would like to have a little stronger amplifier..10-12V !.. a funny tiny radio.. ...very sensitive high frequence circuit...takes a lot of patience and intuition best rgds Kim
