I love it. Cilantro is fantastic. Can't make Latin recipes without it. Works wonders in Chinese/ Asian food too.
Once it takes, it almost like Mint as it self-seeds and spreads. Love it, Thyme, Rosemary, and Basil are just absolute great spices to grow and harvest regularly. I rate Cilantro right up there with Onions and Garlic for something I use everyday!

I’m sorry, I’m new to planting. But what is BT? You said to treat the leaves with that if you get worms underneath. Thank u for the help.

I see conflicting info about aphids and cilantro. In September, I want to sow cilantro seeds in a part of my raised garden that recently had kohlrabi. Their leaves were attacked by aphids. That space will be empty for over a month. I wonder what the risk is for cilantro? I have growing leeks near that space.

The combination of leeks and cilantro “should” keep the aphids at bay. Pests can be hard to predict, so keep an eye out, particularly under the leaves. I wish you luck!

I’m curious why you say this? Do you hate cilantro? Do you hate coriander (that is what the seeds are referred to here in the states). Or perhaps you have difficulty sprouting cilantro from seed? 🧐

I recently moved to Jordan and it's pretty tough to find many of the spices I used to have access to back home. Hopefully I can get some seeds and start growing my own cilantro from pots on my terrace

@Realatmx Cilantro, also known as Chinese parsley or Mexican parsley, is a versatile herb that can be used in many types of food, including dishes from Latin America, Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Europe. India is certainly part of that collection. 🤓

I'm glad I like cilantro and don't get the soapy taste. Also I think fresh from the plant coriander seed tastes much better than store bought.

I agree. Fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables all taste better straight from the garden. Perhaps I am biased. 🥰💚
