I've pre washed my fruits & vegetables for 30 years as it's an incentive to use them if they're ready to go when putting a meal together. Note that strawberries & raspberries can mold quickly if wet for long; either wash those at time of use or let them air out well on toweling or newspapers (rolling them over onto a dry surface to dry underneath) until there is no moisture on the surface - that takes a lot of time & attention so I just wash those when I'm ready to use. Same with peaches.
There in a drawer so it just pulls out. I thought it was a box too and was confused as well but if u pause at the right moment you can see the handle for the drawer
@denissecam1075 Strawberries, raspberries & peaches 🍓🍑 - yes - as they are difficult to effectively dry so they quickly mold. But apples, oranges, grapes, blueberries & others 🍊🍈🍇🍋🍍🍎🍏🍒🫐 that are smooth skinned & firm are fine to wash & dry in advance so that they are ready to go. Most vegetables are fine to wash in advance, but mind what needs to be dried thoroughly before storing. Dry: 🥑🍅🍆🥔🍠🌶🫑🥒🥦🫛 Damp & wrapped in toweling & plastic in the fridge: 🥬🥕 + celery Do not touch until ready to use: 🍄🧄🫘🧅
This is exactly why I bought drawers instead of bins. The idea of having to remove everything to get to the stuff in the middle or bottom doesn’t make since to me. Pricer but worth it
my fridge got fixed after two years and i had to get containers so our fridge dont look scattered and i was surprised when i found out the price of the drawers version but it looks sm worth it...i think its nice to have some without lid (for snacks maybe) as long as the top is the next flooring(sorry ive been thinking of the name and idk) ....think ill slowly buy fridge container drawers one at a time...
Honest of all the food prep consumerist videos this ones the most realistic . No real fancy stuff. Using baking soda to clean veggies which is a great method. ( don’t add vinegar this is not a volcano science experiment and all u would be doing is making some salt effectively neutralizing any cleaning benefits). Washing everything at once is better than before you cook. Once in the fridge those potential mold spores will spread to other food
@@KaylaJChandler Same for me. Over an hour away, but bought some recently when I traveled there for Dr appt. I thought you used TJ's wash on previous videos but realized it was Chanty Marie. For social media life, pre wash veggies n save. For real life, wash just before use.
Actually washing them and drying them can preserve their shelf life!

Exactly 💯
This was so satisfying to watch !
But isn’t it annoying to remove 15 containers to get to your apples in the big container on the bottom?
There in a drawer so it just pulls out. I thought it was a box too and was confused as well but if u pause at the right moment you can see the handle for the drawer
Where do I get the containers?
In Amazon
I need to see the full video. It will be amazing a step by step how to storage your fruit and veg. Pleaseee
fruits are better to be wash before you eat. you can still store them into nice container but washing them makes them spoil fasted

I don’t get it! So what do you use the crisper drawers for then? And doesn’t fruit and vegetables last longer not cut and pre washed?
For social media life, pre wash veggies n save. For real life, wash just before use.
Yes. I never wash and store, your produce will spoil much faster. I wash when ready to use.
Was that baking soda she put in the water to wash her produce?
To me it looked like baking soda and then poured vinegar on it which I saw caused it to fizz. A very good idea.
Could you please share link for these products ?
She got them from from Amazon.
10 Pack Refrigerator Organizer Bins Stackable with Lids.
But how long do your produce last after storing it like that?
Where do u buy these containers from ?
Are those boxes air tight. I mean if there is water wont it leak? Please reply

How long does your produce last in the fridge this way?
fruits, especially berries don't last as long when you wash them. you can still store them in the container but don't wash unless you ready to eat.
Cute, neat,but....who wants to remove all the boxes on the top to get to the items on the bottom.
You can always rearrange/stack them to your liking
How long does the food last??
Wat powder ur using to clean fruits...is tat safe

What is the white powder and what is the spiny thing ?
Powder is baking soda. Think she put vinegar as well. Acts as a slightly abrasive wash. Spinny thing is a salad spinner to get rid of the moisture.
@@nevertoolate8589 thank you
First it look like bathtub 🛀 😅😂😂
I thought so too. Or a huge mud room sink.
For god sakes share the bin link...10 people than ask...and yet no link😕😕

Is there a reason you are not using Trader Joes veggie wash? Just curious.
I rarely shop at Trader Joe’s (not near where I live)

You can’t take the Bill Gate’s “Apeel” coating off by doing this…. Just sayin

Grapes should be left ventilated not sealed.
Baking soda and vinegar do nothing to clean
Everything but the carrots were washed
