This song is 48 years old!!! Quel merveilleux artiste, injustement mésestimé, inconnu. L'electro lui doit énormément. Cette composition sonne totalement moderne, pas du tout datée, rares sont les artistes ayant réussi ça!
Let's do justice! The real original composer of this theme is the great Michel Colombier (Lyon, 1939 - Santa Monica, 2004). This tune is an excerpt of the record "Messe pour le temps présent" (piece of genius!), which was the soundtrack of a ballet by Maurice Béjart. The electronic music composer Pierre Henry (Paris, 1927 - Paris, 2017) worked with Michel Colombier on this project and added all the electronic gimmicks you can hear on the original 1967 album, but most of the work was written by Michel Colombier. As a matter of fact, you can go further back in time since "Psyché Rock" was freely inspired by "Louie Louie", composed and performed by Richard Berry in 1956 and covered by The Kingsmen in 1963.
Let me clear everything! La version que l'on écoute ici est un remix de Fatboy Slim (donc ça n'a pas 48 ans, mais l'originale si et tout ce qui a été dit par Alain B et juste ^^)
Yeah, it's hilarious how plenty of people apparently don't realize that this sounds nothing like '67, while it's exactly Fatboy Slim's sound from the 90s. Some even think the animation is from the 60s-come on, it's full of late 90s' visual tricks.
The fact that this song is 56 years old blows my mind. It was so ahead of its time. This was made during the early years of sympathizes, but it sounds like something made only 30 years ago . In the late 80s and early 90s .
Watching the french movie Z (1969), just heard this in the movie and immediately thought of Futurama theme. Googled it and here I am! It's so fucking good

Ironic how a song from the past is now a song of the future
All songs are from the past, except when they are from the future.
Then they'll never be of the future. Only lost to the past.
Well Futurama is supposed to have that retro 1950s/60s aesthetic anyway, so makes sense
