Thank you for your great long term review. I just got a Sony A7IV two days ago and I was wondering if you think it's necessary to update the firmware for it? There are many horror stories about updating Sony firmware. Did you?

this camera makes me drool, seems promising for another 10 year journey, like the 10 years I spent with the A200, then 10 years with the A77II

APS-C crop gives you around a 14 megapixel image. Still useable, but not as high as 22mp.

I'm switching to Sony currently and If the a7c ii didn't exist, I would get the a7iv 🙏 great camera which is sold used for as low as 1000€
