'Daredevil': Charlie Cox Talks Joining the MCU and Season 2 Possibilities

- While we all hoped Marvel’s Daredevil was going to turn out well, I’ll admit the show is a lot better than I expected. As most of you have seen, it’s gritty, dark, and features great performances across the board with special mention to Vincent D'Onofrio’s work as Kingpin. He’s a fully formed antagonist that has issues like the rest of us. What I also love is Daredevil is doesn’t shy away from showing the dark underbelly of New York City (specifically Hell’s Kitchen), and gives us a very different look at what’s going on in the Marvel universe.
Recently I landed an exclusive video interview with Charlie Cox (Daredevil). He talked about the experience of getting cast, making the show with limited pre-production time, if Daredevil could appear in the Marvel films and the exciting possibility of teaming up with Spider-Man, if he noticed the Marvel Easter eggs as they were filming, if there any Daredevil storylines he wants to do in season 2 (which just got ordered), and a lot more.

Dang, Charlie Cox is so AWESOME as Matt Murdock, and it's cool to see how he's also (kind of) a nerd, in terms of comics/MCU.
Charlie is awesome! I love his portrayal of Matt Murdock! He's a cool dude.
Charlie Cox has one of the most beautiful smiles I've ever seen in my whole life. And he looks like a young, extremely polite, kinda mellow version of Robin Williams in this.
Just finished season not long ago ago. Gotta say Marvel and Netflix hit the jackpot when they hired this amazingly versatile and hardworking actor to play Murdock/Daredevil. It's one of the best Crime Drama/Super Hero shows I've ever seen. Great interview, thanks for sharing.

The actors were great!! From the early trailers I wasn't too sure about Charlie but man he was awesome!! Also Vincent is my one and only Kingpin from now on!! Can't wait for season 2 :D

This is the best interview I have seen with Charlie Cox. So many of them are so so bad. He barely talks in so many of them clearly hating it. Here he opens up and talks openly.
I would go as far to say this is the ONLY interview I have seen worth watching with Cox in.

In the series his voice and the way he talks in one of my favorite things so it was surprising to hear how different his real voice and accent is. Shows what a good actor he is.

I always love when actors make themselves familiar with the source material as it shows just how dedicated they are. It's one of the reasons I admire Timothy Dalton so much as James Bond.
Didn't care about Daredevil before watching this. Amazing, Brutal, Great! Everyone was good, better than most Marvel Movies. Hope you are in the next Avengers and Capt. America!

Isnt he just the sexiest man. I have a huge crushette. Watched Theory of Everything (50 times) He was wonderful as Jonathan. Also snall parts in Lewis and Downton Abby. I've gotten so used to network tv, with its commercial breaks, that I didn't fully realize what a hindrance they can be to a show. Daredevil, because Netflix doesn't have to worry about commercial breaks, really gives the writers room to do scenes the way *they* want to do them, both in terms of pacing & length.
He's just so cute, hope this series runs for a good while as theres been comics for yrs so plenty of stories.

We've only 10% of Charlie's acting ability in Daredevil season 1. I became a fan of his when he played Owen Sleater in Boardwalk Empire. He was exceptional in that. Can't wait to see me from him and Vincent D'onofrio in the next season.

Matty Whawell I like the way the interviewer faltered when Charlie said he had only a month to prep and seemed apologetic that it was a lot of time.
In 1 month , Charlie had to:
1)Bulk up and hit the gym for the first time in his life.
2)Learn complex martial arts moves with his stunt double
3)Learn how to appear blind with a consultant
4)Read and reseach his character.

Considering its part of MCU i think they should shoehorn in the references a LITTLE bit more. I mean the new york invasion was a BIG thing in MCU and the series only showed a glipse throwback to it. I know its not really relevant to progressing Daredevils story (yet), but it would just help connect this darker world to the bigger MCU picture....even if they reference just the New York Hereos (Iron Man and newly added SpiderMan)
