I'm glad you enjoyed it
Fantastic learning page for Egyptian Arabic! I'm Swiss and have been living and working in Egypt for about one year now, but only recently I've come across this really helpful page. No book or no internet page teaches and analyzes quickly spoken Egyptian sentences the way you do. Most learning programs teach us a slow way of pronouncing and speaking sentences. That's all very fine, too, but after a while I've realized that the pronunciation changes, once words are connected together quickly. Also, the sentences you teach are really useful and often occur in everyday life. Thanks so much for your great contributions here, Mimo!
I'm glad you find my channel useful. For more everyday sentences you should follow my Instagram page. Egyptianarabicmimo

This is indeed a very helpful video into Egyptian Arabic. Thank you for explaining the phrases and giving examples of everyday language... it is very helpful to see the phrases written in Arabic. Please could you try to pronounce them several times slowly and then fast so that I can grasp the way you flow the words into each other
I'll repeat the sentences more in future videos.
Mimo, this lesson was very well organised. I did not understand everything thing but I learned lots and 'connected dots', even in the more difficult parts. You are a super star 🌟. Thank you.
thanks a lot for the nice comment I am so glad. please let me know what is it exactly that you didn't understand
@@EgyptianArabicMimo Your method of teaching was exemplory. My understanding of the grammar, some words, verb endings etc is what I had to go over several times. Because it is all written in Egyptian, in 'English' letters, in English also And you repeat the pronunciation of the sentences both slowly and also 'naturally'.... Made this your best video so far in my opinion. You have given us everything we need to learn, and learn it well. All we need to do is engage, research, listen, write it down, practise and repeat all of the above. Bless you thanks. I go to Egypt because my health improves so much in the dry sun, salty sea and constant breeze (in Hurghada). I only wanted to learn.. 'please, thank you, May I have, have a nice day etc.... I'll check out your other videos. Can you do one on favorite subjects that native Egyptians like to discuss? There's a handbook that had questions on UFOs in them. Is this something many are open to there? Thanks so much. Hugs from Canada.

Hey man good stuff, but 2 things: 1. drop the English capital letters, they are hard to read, it is like aligning a bunch of boxes of similar sizes and 2. black letters on a gray background? I am sure you get it. Keep up the good work.

In one of your phrases u said " 'Amalt hoo lak". What does the hoo in the middle of the phrase for
hoo refers to the masculine object or subject
haaaa refers to the feminine object or subject
3amalthaaaaalak : I did the feminine thing for the masculine you
3amalthoolak : I did the masculine thing for the masculine you
if it's the feminine you then the ending would be lik not lak
So would the translation for "we sell shirts" be "binbee'hum 'umsaan" or would it be "binbee' 'umsaan"
@@stevegoo135 hoo and haa is just like saying it or them, depending on the object.
we sell them (benbe3hum)
we see shirts (benbee3 umsan)
why would I say (we sell it shirts) benbe3hum umsan
do you get it?
U spoke some of those sentences very fast and all that does is discourage people from learning the language cuz there's no point in making all this effort to learn a language if you're still not going to be able to understand people because of how fast they talk
with time and effort, you can understand anything. I've seen and know people who were able to do it. tons of people speak and understand languages that aren't their first all over the world. don't be discouraged just give yourself time and be persistent
TEACHER! If you make the next video about describing people, teach us how to say "my friend(s)", because, as I've seen, there are more than one word for "friend".
صاحب my friend
صاحبي my friend
there are 2 or 3 words for friend, however the one used the most in Egyptian Arabic is sa7ib

Why do we use howa in the beginning of the sentence?
Example: howa enta betro7 el sho3'l el sa3a kam?
That confuses me little bit, howa means "he", right? And we have enta, which is "you"
you don't really need to say ”howa”. I'm just trying to show how natives speakers ask questions. howa here doesn't necessarily mean he. it can refer to the entire situation.
I'll make a specific video about it in the future
There are several new words in each of these sentences. It would be great if you could explain the function of these new words. Thanks.

@@ayeshapyesha7301 for kids I strongly recommend just getting them used to using the language with a parent, rather than studying it as a subject to avoid boredom. You could watch Egyptian movies or kids shows on UA-cam. Everything is available on UA-cam. Just search Egyptian movies or series

Asking with the verb is just using the same regular verb conjugation you'd use in a normal sentence. For example
He studies everyday
Howa beyzakir kol yom
Does he study everyday?
Howa beyzakir kol yom?
It's the exact same sentence but act a little puzzled, do you know what I mean? A simple change of tone.
Yach but the veeb by using W5H, you know like, what, Who and etc. Using verb with all of 'em
@@ARRIRBROTHER aha I see well that's in a video in the future. Thanks for the request.
To quickly answer you, it's the same sentence exactly and you add the question word at the end
Why do you study?
Enta betzakir leh?
What do you study?
Enta betzakir eh?
And so on
Thanks dude, alla maak.
