When I first listened to this in 2008, it reminded me so much of us. In 2009 she moved back to our hometown. We went through some traumatic events during our teenage years. She’s a singer and last week during my birthday she performed this song and we both started crying. We’ve been friends for 20 years now and this is our song ❤️ Thank you, Taylor. Taylor was one few artists me and my brother enjoyed listening to together in high school and “Fearless” was one of his favorites. It’s been almost 3 years since I had to breathe without him. I’m still breathing and it’s still not easy but it’s getting there. Thank you Taylor for your amazing songs and the wonderful memories I have attached to each and every one. Just want to say to everyone swearing off the old versions... a lot of you have discs, that will give nothing to Mr. Skateboard With A Handle, so you can totes still binge those. They will always be close to my heart as I grew up strictly on a musical diet of Baby Taylor and Avril.
I downloaded her old songs a long time back and I still have them. I love the new versions but the old ones will always have a higher place in my heart.
Exactly. If I wanna listen to the old version, I’ll just use my physical copies that I already purchased. (And if someone doesn’t have a copy - buy secondhand off of eBay or something. ✌️) If I listen on a streaming platform like I usually do - it’s gonna be Taylor’s version only.

I remember listening to the Fearless album nonstop back in 2008 thinking I'd never get over my ex. Now I'm married to my husband and feel grateful when I hear this music instead of feeling sad like I did back then. Grateful that I got through that time of my life when I thought everything was over simply because of a boy who never deserved me. The Fearless album got me through the healing process and I'm glad she was able to re-record all these songs on her own terms this time.
