I think part of Peter Davidson's look and characterisation as the 5th Doctor took inspiration from Ford Prefect (There's some costume design notes in a production diary book for Dr Who I have somewhere that mentions something similar to this)
I think we can ALL agree that Mark Wing Davey always had it and never lost it. The tremendous difficulties with our collective lifestyles are all due to the fact that - outside of two other humans - none of us have ever been Zaphod Beeblebrox.
fair enough tbh i'm just lucky that my mum introduced me to this series when i was like 7 so i normalised it. to this day i blame my being trans on ford prefect as he makes the gender envy go brrrrrr anyway glad this series (and ford) is getting the recognition it deserves!!
David Dixon who played Ford Prefect would have made a brilliant Dr Who.
You know... I think you're right.

I love how if you watch the whole thing it’s still out of context 😂 that’s why I love this show

Thank you!!
5:15 probably my favorite line delivery in the history of line deliveries
Let's be honest though Sam Rockwell as Zaphod and Alan Rickman as Marvin in the 2005 movie were perfect.
