Oh my word!!! Just tried this in v7.44 and wasn't aware of the 'Guide' feature even after watching the numerous Cricut Design Space tutorials out there!!! This is the first tutorial I've come across to (1) mention it exists and (2) how to use it! This is truly a great time saver! Thank you!😇 I'm going to experiment with other shapes now too! 😄
Guides! Yes. I use that feature a lot, and it does save so much time when I'm trying to determine how big I can make something and/or how much I can get into the space limits of my Cricut. I'm glad that was helpful for you. Please experiment! You'll be surprised at how creative you become when you start seeing the shapes in things.
This is a really good idea because sometimes we only have 20 minutes or so. I am fairly new to Cricut and so many software changes were made this year that every time I want to make something I must download software only to find that something I had finally learned how to do is gone or moved. So I want to ask a really dumb question. If I run out of time to finish a new design, can I save it and go back into it later to finish? Sort of like word processing?
Yes, you can save your progress in Cricut Design Space. When you're in a project, if you look at the top over to the right, you'll see "Save" right next to "My Stuff and before the name of your Cricut Machine. Once you click "Save," you will also see "Save As" if you want to save different versions of the same file. When you come back into Design Space, then you can click on "My Stuff" and you'll see all your projects. I hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
@@SVGTuts I need to make "Happy Birthday" text for a card. I do not see "Save As" anywhere on the screen after I hit Save. I bought my Explore Air 2 in Nov. 2021. Hellllppp!
I wasn't finished with the "design." Is that why I can't save it. I'm tired and I've got to look up AGAIN how to hook the letters together so they cut out as a unit rather than individually. Everytime I know what I'm doing, Cricut changes the software. It's annoying beyond belief.
