Grey just so you know. The strongest tornado ever recorded was the El Reno EF3 with recorded wind speeds of 302 mph and a maximum width of 2.6 miles. The only reason why it was ranked EF3 was because the Enhanced Fujita scale goes based on damage and not wind speed.

Actually pacific typhoons can grow so immense that the largest ones can be 500 miles across and pack winds as fast as 400 mph.

A typhoon is basically a hurricane on steroids.
In 1980 Super Typhoon Orchid grew to a size of 500 miles across and packed winds that gusted to almost 350 mph and the eye was almost 50 miles across.
