      Agree, great job! Tiles look wonderful! I didn't get why the Mars board is not painted as mars instead of the base orange color, which I find dull. And how do you mark your forests? I can't see the places designated for placing player cubes :( Apart from these two, the result (and the process) looks great! I even learnt something new

    I am a bit shocked this video was not yet honoured by the youtube algorithm. The content and the editing are great, absolutely quality footage. Keep it up, a few more videos like this and the channel's gonna grow big :)

      Maybe one day! I'm almost done with the next one, I'm pretty happy about how it's turning it and today I found a 15th century church where I am gonna try and get permission to film the reveal of the project on the altar! To give the "medieval" boardgame video I'm working on a fitting reveal!

      I think the algorithm disproves of the upload frequency. Quality here rather than quantity.

      @@Redskies453 Yeah, I would've uploaded sooner, but then my gf was in an accident, and she helps a lot with filming as well, and then a lot of stuff at work got me really frustrated, so motivation was lacking and gf had to get better first!

    I'm not fan of plastik elements in board games (I prefer wooden elements) but the amount of details and work You have put in this project is just outstanding. Very impressive results. I envy You playing this version of TM, I really do. :-)

    • @TheCraftingDen

      It's even more fun if you add some metal disks in the bottom to make them weighted, then they feel as heavy as wood! But I get ya. Wood is awesome. I hope to learn a bit of woodworking to add it in my projects one day!

      @hjordiswolff 2 роки тому

      @@TheCraftingDen I think you should study the bigger channels to know better what to expect I think. But what people like, as I understood it, is to learn and watch quality content. Some bigger channels I follow have a good flow of projects (once a month minimum) and if not they publish some tutorials to learn the basics of their art/give insight on technical stuff/do challenges on the best x color from different brands for example/room tour/vlog of some workshop or event ecc. In the end people watching art channels do like to make art and to expand their knowledge about it. Also the algorithm check for the most consistent channels who put regularly videos up, some people report so. ;) Hope it helps!

      @TheCraftingDen  2 роки тому +1

      I'm working on that for future video's! I like to use paintpad app, it's not an app, but a website lol, that allows you to very easily document how you paint something by providing you easy access to the exact name and brands of paint out there, and if someone else wants to copy your color scheme but they don't have the same paints, the website automatically adjusts the "recipe" with similar paints from different brands, it's really good! You can check my stuff out already though it's really been more of a thing for myself so it's not very usefull yet, if you go to paintpad app and look for the crafting den! I will post links to my profile in the future so you can follow along with my paint steps, but for now maybe it's a good tool to know about!

    Thanks for the fantastic video. Have printed all the pieces! Was there ever a file for the heat tracking similar to oxygen?

      @@TheCraftingDen big projects are like emotional roller coasters... try breaking them in small ones, we can follow the progression and them compilate all at the end like this. Anyway, amazing job!

    Excellent video! Loved the content, the music, and the presentation. I have heard of this game but never played it before, and now I might pick it up! I personally would have liked to see more of your detail painting process, but that may just be me. Also if I may make one small suggestion: look into the camera lens when you are addressing the audience. It will feel like you’re making eye contact and be more engaging. Subscribed!

      I will take that into consideration for the next video! I just need to figure out a good way to film more detailed stuff. I created a stick to put over my shoulder, with the camera on one end, the mini on the other, and then have some really nice and crips close up shots of the mini being painted, but I'm not 100% happy with the result, I'll keep at it and glad to have you on board!

    The final result is wonderful! All those extra details and the insert idea for the board make it à stellar piece!!
    Congrats on your achivement!
    The video itself is perfect and I just loved the time speed 3D part with the camera motion: wow an added detail that make this video really more entertaining to watch!!

    Excellent quality craftsmanship! Truly!
    Two things did bother me a bit about the design though (being my own nitpicky person here, you've made an excellent addition to the interactivity and feel of the boardgame).
    1: how do you keep the 3d printed board in place on the cardboard?
    2 and the biggest for me: how do you see the resources below the tiles if you place something on top of it (besides the resin ones) it's hard to keep track of everything. Unless ofcourse it's a one off gaining of materials in which case I'm an idiot hehe. Then again, I have no idea how the game plays or how it works.
    All in all, I'm impressed!

      Thank you for the kind words! It feels great seeing the positive feedback so far, the board is heavy enough to stay in place and you hit the nail on the head, it's a one time bonus, placing the tile on a resource location! So the transparency and ability to see the resource is just a small bonus of having used a clear resin. Thank you for the feedback! Really appreciate it and especially for asking/noting such a specific question!
