There is another dance practice that was released when dream in a dream initially came out. It has the part with the female dancer in it! And yes, this was the first time we heard Ten sing(he'd only rapped in the 7th sense) and it was hard to believe that it was his voice, but it was!

i wanna say TEN is different from everybody he really has his OWN style. the way he controlled his body movements depending on how he FEEL the song is just so amazing to me. he's not just on how sharp or how hard he hit the moves. Dream in a Dream was made for him to showcase his dance skills, that's why you don't see a lot of singing involved, but his other solo, New Heroes (which i know you're gonna react to in the future) it's more focused on showcasing his vocals (even tho it has an amazing, mindblowing choreo), just wanted to point that out. ❤

Ten is probably my ult. To be honest, when I first discovered him from one of Kpop crackheads compilation clip, I thought 'oh ok this guy was another mischievious member of NCT' and I just marked him as a funny idol and started to search for him just for laughing. Then after I explored deeper, I found out that I was captivated by his dance, his performing already.

When I saw this live in concert I remember everyone went super silent because of how completely mesmerizing he was. I couldn’t think or speak I was just standing there staring in awe

TEN just makes difficult things look so effortless 😐 Happy to see you enjoyed it! I love the perfect combination of “flowy” and fast movements in this choreo. have to say this is one of my favourite dance practice videos. There is some movement of the camera making it more dynamic but they don’t zoom in too much that you can’t see the choreography.

Random fact about those dancers! I went to prepix dance studio for a few weeks when I was living in seoul, and I met two of the backup dancers (Ragi and Sea Ni) in this dance practice who happen to be dance instructors, I found them rather nice and they have such a good technique for creating/executing smooth urban choreos like this!! I couldn't follow much of the classes (beginners classes were already so difficult), bc I don't speak korean and I have almost no dance background but it was still interesting/inspiring to meet them :) x
Ten is one of only 3 dancers in kpop that has brought me to tears with his dancing. Even if his movement and technique wasn't as good as it IS, the ability he has to tell the story and show emotion is incredible.

Hell yeah! I loved that little speech at the end - Ten really is a mesmerising dancer, and I love hearing you explain just how (I especially liked how you explained what sickling is and that Ten's toe-pointing technique is perfect - I never noticed, but you're completely right??) If you want to see just how flexible Ten is this isn't necessarily a reaction suggestion but WayV recently did a kind of jokey 'home workout' video for quarantine and a lot of it was basically Ten showing off just how bendy he is XD It's like he has no bones, and it really helps him be such an amazing dancer, in addition to his obvious technique and finesse.

You can really tell how much thought Ten puts into making each movement look good. Usually when learning a choreography, some will only do as much as is shown and don't go beyond that. Ten goes beyond that. Not only does he try his best to showcase the dance in the most aesthetically pleasing manner as he can manage, but he also adds his own flair to the moves. This is why he stands out so much when dancing, even when he is dancing with other amazing dancers.
I love that you take your time to analyze what you’re seeing, and explaining to us, ignorant folks, in a way that we can at least start to appreciate what’s going on ❤️
I saw that Performance live and it was so fascinating! It really was one of my highlights from that concert. When he dances onstage you just can't look away. In combination with that song - perfect. There is no other way than to enjoy this moment.
Ten is absolutely enthralling to watch. I can't think of another word for it. The way he moves is so calculated and precise but he makes it seem so effortless. I saw him perform this and New Heroes with SuperM in London and cried my entire face off, it was so moving. Every time you reacted to something and stopped like "woooow" I was like "yeah mood" because that's exactly how I felt discovering him for the first time. Ten is my ult and I love him so much. The little devil.
Finally ,this is one of the most beautiful choreo's I've ever seen .. In my opinion Ten is the only person that can somehow be compared to Taemin and believe me that's a compliment . I usually don't like to compare people but for me Taemin is the best dancer in the whole kpop industry ,his body control and movements are insanely beautiful and captivating and after him is Ten . Keep in mind that Ten has Taemin as his role model and now they're in the same group :")) I'm so proud of him .

If it can help you - Ten is former gymnast and participated in some competitions with some good results. Yes, the choreography is different in the dance practice and the MV. That is why the dance practice is the "Station version" because it was a special performance that was done for SMStation 2 years after they recorded the MV. It you want to see the choreography for the MV better, you should watch the original dance practice that was recorded at the same time as the MV. :D And, yep, that was Lucas in the MV. Lucas appeared as a special extra in Ten's MV even before he debuted. So at that point Lucas was still only considered a trainee. It was SM's way of preparing us for his introduction into NCT. :D Oh yeah, and Yes, 100% that is Ten's voice. This is his MV, so he is the one who is singing. Ten is actually one of the best dancers in the industry. He is Thai and besides being a solo artist, he is also a member of NCT-U and WayV, NCT's Mandarin Chinese sub-Unit. Ten grew up attending an international school where they spoke English most of the time, so he is pretty much fluent in English. So several of his solo songs like you heard "Dream in a Dream" and "New Heroes" are in English. He can almost speak English better than he can Thai and he is from Thailand. LOL Ten actually is pretty close to fluent in at least 4 languages. Which includes Thai, English, Korean, and now Mandarin. So, that is one of the reasons why he is a member of WayV because his grandparents are Chinese and he is good at learning languages. Ten is known as the best dancer in NCT and because of his amazing vocal and language skills he, so far, is the NCT member with the most solo songs and solo projects. If you watch the Station Ver. of Ten's dance practice for his "Becoming the Devil" performance, you will also see that the choreography is different than what he performed on Hit The Stage. Again, that is why it is titled, "Station Ver." because they reworked the choreography for the special dance practice version. You should also check out several of Ten's self-choreographed and freestyle performances on NCT's dance UA-cam channel.
The most incredible thing is that he had a knee injury during this MV, you can see the tensior in some part. After that, he underwent a surgical procedure and had to stay away for almost a year. When he returned, it seemed that nothing had happened, bcz his dance is even better. He is that kind of person that you pcan see the aura of the gift.

I feel so happy that you finally got to watch Dream in a Dream! It's a whole different kind of experience. Funny how at first I actually thought that Ten is a vocalist of NCT who just happens to dance well because Baby Don't Stop is the first song I got exposed to. But watching the live performances of BDS, his movements really caught my attention that I started paying looking at him at every performance, and THIS dance practice solidified my love for him. That turn at 3:57 blew my mind as well, it's like the first time I saw an idol dances so beautifully. I was completely mesmerized, not too mention how I'm in love with the song per se. I was literally watching this dance practice video everyday for about a month or so lol. This song, choreo, and performance is really something special to me. I can't wait for a chance to watch it live, I'd probably cry. Watching the fancams of the concert and live performances already make me emotional, so scratch that, I would definitely be moved to tears when I see this live for myself. I feel like Ten really has a deep understanding of not just "dancing" but the art of body movements, using it as an expression and as a way of communication. He just hits different to me in every other way.

Hi Jeff, I'm sure you know this by now that I appreciate the work you do. I'm was not a dance-savvy person but thanks to you now I look out for things: leg placement, arms extension etc. I love it🥰. But just to mention he did say he did ballet when he was younger. If you watch the Super M episode of Men on a mission on Netflix, he says it there. Maybe it was for a short time but he definitely said he's done ballet.

When I saw this live in concert I remember everyone went super silent because of how completely mesmerizing he was. I couldn’t think or speak I was just standing there staring in awe

I love the perfect combination of “flowy” and fast movements in this choreo. have to say this is one of my favourite dance practice videos. There is some movement of the camera making it more dynamic but they don’t zoom in too much that you can’t see the choreography.

Random fact about those dancers! I went to prepix dance studio for a few weeks when I was living in seoul, and I met two of the backup dancers (Ragi and Sea Ni) in this dance practice who happen to be dance instructors, I found them rather nice and they have such a good technique for creating/executing smooth urban choreos like this!! I couldn't follow much of the classes (beginners classes were already so difficult), bc I don't speak korean and I have almost no dance background but it was still interesting/inspiring to meet them :) x

Ten is one of only 3 dancers in kpop that has brought me to tears with his dancing. Even if his movement and technique wasn't as good as it IS, the ability he has to tell the story and show emotion is incredible.

Hell yeah! I loved that little speech at the end - Ten really is a mesmerising dancer, and I love hearing you explain just how (I especially liked how you explained what sickling is and that Ten's toe-pointing technique is perfect - I never noticed, but you're completely right??)
If you want to see just how flexible Ten is this isn't necessarily a reaction suggestion but WayV recently did a kind of jokey 'home workout' video for quarantine and a lot of it was basically Ten showing off just how bendy he is XD It's like he has no bones, and it really helps him be such an amazing dancer, in addition to his obvious technique and finesse.

You can really tell how much thought Ten puts into making each movement look good. Usually when learning a choreography, some will only do as much as is shown and don't go beyond that. Ten goes beyond that. Not only does he try his best to showcase the dance in the most aesthetically pleasing manner as he can manage, but he also adds his own flair to the moves.
This is why he stands out so much when dancing, even when he is dancing with other amazing dancers.
I love that you take your time to analyze what you’re seeing, and explaining to us, ignorant folks, in a way that we can at least start to appreciate what’s going on ❤️
I saw that Performance live and it was so fascinating! It really was one of my highlights from that concert.
When he dances onstage you just can't look away. In combination with that song - perfect. There is no other way than to enjoy this moment.
Ten is absolutely enthralling to watch. I can't think of another word for it. The way he moves is so calculated and precise but he makes it seem so effortless. I saw him perform this and New Heroes with SuperM in London and cried my entire face off, it was so moving. Every time you reacted to something and stopped like "woooow" I was like "yeah mood" because that's exactly how I felt discovering him for the first time. Ten is my ult and I love him so much. The little devil.
Finally ,this is one of the most beautiful choreo's I've ever seen .. In my opinion Ten is the only person that can somehow be compared to Taemin and believe me that's a compliment . I usually don't like to compare people but for me Taemin is the best dancer in the whole kpop industry ,his body control and movements are insanely beautiful and captivating and after him is Ten . Keep in mind that Ten has Taemin as his role model and now they're in the same group :")) I'm so proud of him .
Ten is my favourite dancer in kpop. Or more like my favourite dancer in everything! He's also one of my favourite vocalists, he's so talented and he's so good and hardworking!

Yes, the choreography is different in the dance practice and the MV. That is why the dance practice is the "Station version" because it was a special performance that was done for SMStation 2 years after they recorded the MV. It you want to see the choreography for the MV better, you should watch the original dance practice that was recorded at the same time as the MV. :D And, yep, that was Lucas in the MV. Lucas appeared as a special extra in Ten's MV even before he debuted. So at that point Lucas was still only considered a trainee. It was SM's way of preparing us for his introduction into NCT. :D
Oh yeah, and Yes, 100% that is Ten's voice. This is his MV, so he is the one who is singing. Ten is actually one of the best dancers in the industry. He is Thai and besides being a solo artist, he is also a member of NCT-U and WayV, NCT's Mandarin Chinese sub-Unit. Ten grew up attending an international school where they spoke English most of the time, so he is pretty much fluent in English. So several of his solo songs like you heard "Dream in a Dream" and "New Heroes" are in English. He can almost speak English better than he can Thai and he is from Thailand. LOL Ten actually is pretty close to fluent in at least 4 languages. Which includes Thai, English, Korean, and now Mandarin. So, that is one of the reasons why he is a member of WayV because his grandparents are Chinese and he is good at learning languages. Ten is known as the best dancer in NCT and because of his amazing vocal and language skills he, so far, is the NCT member with the most solo songs and solo projects.
If you watch the Station Ver. of Ten's dance practice for his "Becoming the Devil" performance, you will also see that the choreography is different than what he performed on Hit The Stage. Again, that is why it is titled, "Station Ver." because they reworked the choreography for the special dance practice version.
You should also check out several of Ten's self-choreographed and freestyle performances on NCT's dance UA-cam channel.
The most incredible thing is that he had a knee injury during this MV, you can see the tensior in some part. After that, he underwent a surgical procedure and had to stay away for almost a year. When he returned, it seemed that nothing had happened, bcz his dance is even better. He is that kind of person that you pcan see the aura of the gift.

He also has mad control of his body, even his fingers. I feel like he's the type of dancer with extreme control and proprioception. I feel so happy that you finally got to watch Dream in a Dream! It's a whole different kind of experience. Funny how at first I actually thought that Ten is a vocalist of NCT who just happens to dance well because Baby Don't Stop is the first song I got exposed to. But watching the live performances of BDS, his movements really caught my attention that I started paying looking at him at every performance, and THIS dance practice solidified my love for him.
That turn at 3:57 blew my mind as well, it's like the first time I saw an idol dances so beautifully. I was completely mesmerized, not too mention how I'm in love with the song per se. I was literally watching this dance practice video everyday for about a month or so lol. This song, choreo, and performance is really something special to me. I can't wait for a chance to watch it live, I'd probably cry. Watching the fancams of the concert and live performances already make me emotional, so scratch that, I would definitely be moved to tears when I see this live for myself.
I feel like Ten really has a deep understanding of not just "dancing" but the art of body movements, using it as an expression and as a way of communication. He just hits different to me in every other way.

It seems to me I saw another review of Ten that I thought it was said he did have some ballet training, I may be mistaken I will have to check it out. I absolutely love this young man he is magical to watch.
There is something about Ten's dancing, it's extremely eye-catching. I think the fact that he is very flexible plays a lot, even when I see him just stretch or fool around dancing I'm impressed haha. I'm so glad SuperM happened so that Ten got to perform his songs again.
Hi Jeff, I'm sure you know this by now that I appreciate the work you do. I'm was not a dance-savvy person but thanks to you now I look out for things: leg placement, arms extension etc. I love it🥰. But just to mention he did say he did ballet when he was younger. If you watch the Super M episode of Men on a mission on Netflix, he says it there. Maybe it was for a short time but he definitely said he's done ballet.
By the way, he has ballet training, at least a little bit.
