- Denne video handler om Gertrud - This video is about the garage of Gertrud, which the family has named our new robot lane mower, the Husqvarna 310 auto mower. The translation into English of my Danish comments tells that the garage was constructed based on inspiration from the Web, and that it was built during Easter 2017 at a price about €300. The Danish text explains that it is quite obvious that the closing mechanism of the door is rather simple, and that the secret is hidden in the balance of the door which needs to be very light because of this balance. In fact it was only the second door that functioned because the first one was too heavy. This second door ist made of Perspex/plexiglass with a wooden frame at the back of it because it is so light, but if I were to do it once more I would use aluminium instead since Perspex easily breaks or splinters when you cut it. The door goes all the way to the top of the gable where a lump of lead and heavy wooden sticks are fastened to make it turn open when the mower backs and to let it remain open. The last comment tells that the garage is not yet quite finished since it needs to be sanded once again to be painted one last time, but this has to wait until summer where we hope for a decent temperature rise in Denmark.

I did the layout and installation by studying the on line videos Husqvarna had on the web ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx2KDztGvdU79XTmlqIMSUyPq8CjprGJOR also recommended it When I started the unit it stated it would take a few days to learn all the spots in the yard. So I thought it was just finding the areas till I noticed it was cutting. It is so quite you don't know it is cutting.

Hej Klaus. Istedet for acrylplade kan man med fordel bruge polycarbonat i stedet. Det kan både bukkes og saves uden problemer. Super fint hus, som har givet mig inspiration til at komme i gang👍

Hi David.Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately I have no plans. I did not make a sketch before I commenced building it. I just measured the robot and started.
Awesome mini garage. I am going to build one for my automower. How do you make the door open when the robot is going out?
Hi! The robot is pushing the door open, as it backs out. The counter weight, made of lead, placed at the inside of the top of the door lets it stay open. It is simply a question of balance. But please remark, that the door goes to the top of the roof on the inside. Happy building! Best wishes

Oh, it most definitely has nothing to do with trains. It is a robot lane mower, which means that you do not have to do it yourself any more. I shall make a translation into English of my Danish comments in the video. Thank you for writing.

Hej jeg er ved og lave et lignende projekt, og vil gerne have garagen helt tæt på vores hus. Kan man godt placere garagen/lader ca. 4 meter fra plænen?
Hej Michael. Det véd jeg faktisk ikke. Det bliver du nødt til at spørge forhandleren af klipperen om. Forretningen installerede min og sagde, at det var første gang, de havde lavet sådan en parkering/installation. Normalt står dock'en jo vinkelret på plænen, men da de jo godt kan installeres med en korridor, er det vel ikke umuligt, og jeg mener at huske et andet klip på youtube, hvor man ser en, der er parkeret et godt stykke fra plænen. Gertrud har jævnligt en del forsøg, inden det lykkes hende at få rettet ind mod garageporten. Held og lykke med projektet

Questo video riguarda il garage di Gertrud, che la famiglia ha chiamato il nostro nuovo robot, la falciatrice Husqvarna 310. La traduzione in italiano delle mie osservazioni danesi spiega che il garage è stato costruito sulla base di ispirazioni dal Web e che è stato costruito durante la Pasqua 2017 ad un prezzo di circa 300 euro. Il testo danese spiega che è ovvio che il meccanismo di chiusura della porta è piuttosto semplice e che il segreto è nascosto nell'equilibrio della porta che deve essere molto leggera a causa di questo equilibrio. In realtà era solo la seconda porta che funzionava perché la prima era troppo pesante. Questa seconda porta è fatta di Perspex / plexiglass con un telaio in legno dietro di esso perché è così leggero, ma se dovessi farlo ancora una volta, vorrei utilizzare l'alluminio invece che plexiglass si rompe facilmente o si schegge quando lo tagli. La porta va fino alla cima del timpano, dove un blocco di piombo e pesanti bastoni di legno sono fissati per farla aprirsi quando il falciatore si appoggia e lasciarlo aprire. L'ultimo commento dice che il garage non è ancora finito, dato che deve essere ancora sabbiato per essere dipinto un'ultima volta, ma questo deve aspettare fino all'estate dove speriamo un aumento della temperatura decente in Danimarca.
