Very interesting to see the half thumb over/ half no thumb chords. Have thought of that myself but kept it no thumb to make it simpler. Couldnt imagine singing over it though - unreal talent. Even Mayer himself admits his thumb over technique is a bit of a freak "circus trick" .. the stretches are crazy lol.

Do you ever play with heavier gauge strings? You are incredible, but I think your mic doesn't quite pick up the harmonic overtones of your playing that we would hear live, and sounds slightly washed out through UA-cam. I'm Nit-picking, I've watched like 10 of your covers just tonight and they're all absolutely incredible but I feel a mic that picks up the harmonies/overtones or some heavier strings would add to the guitar element of your performance. Glad I found your channel :)

Perfection? Ummm ok. Timing wasn't right imo. He should've taken another week to get it right. I understand the excitement of wanting to show what you have learned however putting it out for millions to see to your egos sake is kinda whatever. I know Corey is good enough to nail it but he didn't. The song alone is hard enough and he sang it also so kudos for taking it all on.
I don't think people realize how good Corey is at guitar. The guitar solo was off the charts, can't stop listening. Absolute legendary stuff.
