Peg Board suggestion: The lady from your painting! She looks like she is thinking up creative future endeavors. Put her in the bottom corner and then create abstract DIY designs around her.
Maybe name the dog lamp "Astronomo". My mantras of the day " It's just so nice to be organized and "If I don't hang this light right now then I'm never going to do it. So, I'm just going to do it right now." Feeling motivated and inspired to get after my Spring cleaning. Thank you Dani.

Honour the first real dog in space, "Laika". She was the first dog, and living creature for that matter, to reach orbit. Happened on Nov. 3, 1957 aboard Sputnik 2 and she gave/they took her life for the cause!
Creating when you feel overwhelmed by mess is almost impossible... its like trying to cook in a dirty Kitchen. I'm glad you took the time to center your space and yourself this way. I love the space dog...(whatever you name him,) but I Love Kenobi and his label even more!

Why not treat your "unfinished" art pieces like we treat home decor. It's never really finished, always in progress, but we go ahead and enjoy it anyway. Put them on the wall, enjoy them, and over time you will be inspired to add to, update, change, or whatever to the pieces.

You could make a feature wall of "works in progress"...on a few staggered floating display shelves so they're easy to grab and work on. Plus infinitely interchangeable this way! 👌🥰

Wow, what a difference a bucket load of elbow grease makes! Definitely agree on downtime when creative projects feel like a chore. Your studio looks amazing, can't wait to see you get to work on the Cricut! For the pegboard, I always like a sketch of the item that belongs there so it's quick to tidy up. The fact that you may add in items always gives you an excuse to erase/paint in a new item. I also recommend a large 'this doesn't belong here basket' in both your She Shack and Studio by the doors. They are for bits that belong elsewhere, but might get dumped when in a hurry. When they get full, it's time to tidy those bits to their true home :-) And finally, how about Lumin or Lumen for Mr dog lamp? (Luminosity as in light from stars or Lumen as in light bulbs :-) Thanks as always for the inspiration :-)

I was raised with the adage "A place for everything and everything in its place." Over the years I've learned that the less time I have to spend digging for something I need, the more time I have doing the things I want (i.e.: crafting or DIYing.) The reality is, however, that sometimes I need to spend time in a place before I know how to organize it, so this video makes perfect sense. You might be redoing the room in Summer (however Life tends to have other plans) but in the meantime, you need to be able to use the space. I admit I was a bit surprised you didn't use your Cricket to make your labels, but... LOL!

About once a month I do this with my soap shop, I LOVE it and its always a huge motivation to do more work.
The wall should be something that inspires you whether its color for certain shape or a design that triggers happiness into your soul. Something that you see that just makes you smile and the reaction you get just by looking at it, like "oh yeah".
Organising is just so satisfying! The room turned out amazing. ☺️
P.S I think some big florals on the pegboard would look so cute.

Thanks for talking about creative peaks ...and the valleys, when creatives need to rest. It’s so easy to think you’re failing or blocked when creativity fades a little and really you’re just tired. Reevaluating your art hoard and organizing it is a great downtime activity.

RE: the pegboard, since you have a wealth of wonderful colour already going on in that room, how about an Ombré effect in shades of your fab hair colour? It'd keep the space light and compliment the existing colours (it'd also make the Pantone art pop even more I'd think).
I think the peg board would look kind of cool painted with a color block design. Your video gave me the push I needed for my craft room! During the "situation" I used my craft room to store extra canned foods, paper products, etc. to cut down on grocery store shopping and now that our restrictions here in the US have somewhat lifted I want to get my storage room back into shape. Thank you for the motivation and I love Kenobi and the little astro puppy is so precious. Love your channel, I look forward to it every Saturday morning!

Abstract!!! I love how you painted the she shack and your entryway at your last place. Almost like mountains. It just looks so good. Everything you do is golden!!
I gotta say, I ripped every piece of storage in my apartment I had out just to organize so I could get a dress form in my closet. It took me two days, I was exhausted, and I didn't have to set up camera shots for editable moments, make shelves & hang lighting, or have nearly as much stuff as you. I'm impressed by how quickly you made progress organizing.
Since i have a small 1 bedroom house I turned my living room and dining room into my studio. I always had projects on my dining table and creative stuff everywhere and I got tired of having to clear it all away and pulling it back out. I told myself, "I am an artist and my space shall reflect that." I have a large Ikea media unit, turned it sideways and added a six square shelving unit where a TV would sit for added storage. It's all still in process but It feels soo much better as a studio than a traditional living&dining room.
As for names.....I love Cosmos. Then I thought of Chewy or since you have Kenobi you and name him Obi. Or Astro! I remember a space cartoon with a dog named Astro.

Also, for the pegboard, I think different hues of the same color of different sized circles. Because of all of the angles and straight edges of everything on it and beside it. One color, different hues because of the panetone next to it.

i think for the peg board,,, every time you paint something you should add a brush stroke of each color used, a homage to each thing you make over, diy hack, or create! and it relieves the pressure of feeling like you have to paint something cool or abstract
I'd paint the entire peg board coral with Fusion mineral paint. It's so uplifting, I love it, I painted my daughter's cot with it. No need for a mural 💖

Peg board idea: Inspired from your diy intro.
Color block into four sections, layer over that with outlines of each tool.
For the peg board, you could do a "street art" inspired mural only by using spray paint! Or go all Bob Ross on it! 💙
I think you should somehow continue the Pantone theme across your pegboard. You could go straight or swirly. Maybe even somehow mimic the squares.... so many ideas!

Pegboard ideas: should do some sort of leafy plant wallpaper that ties in the green of your tools so they don't stand out too much.
Your next episode should be "finishing all my unfinished projects". Including for example that painting you never got around to finish! Would love to see that 😍
So on the peg board wall-paint a “portal” to creativity, like an arched door, so that all the hooks, peg board, are all the same color. Remember Alexandra Gater’s pink arched shelf area. Pick your own color or blend monochromatic colors (see “Brushed by Brandy” on UA-cam).

I like the idea of flowers of different colors painted on the pegboard.
1. I love my Saturday mornings with DIY Danie (it is known throughout the household that Momma gets the TV for Danie Saturdays)
2. I was orginally going to suggest Cosmo for the lamp, but I really like Pup-lightyear.
3. I feel like the background should have one of your logos/shirt designs. Like painted white with some splatter paint and either DIY in Progress or Make it Messy. You could even use your cricut!
You always make me laugh , and give me lots of quirky ideas to recreate my place, the space cadet lamp (Kenobi two or K2) is so adorable but Kenobi is the cutest, you two make a hilarious team 💞 stay goofy !! 🤪

This was fun! I spent a week last summer reorganizing/purging in my fiber arts studio. It is so satisfying! I spent a lot of money on six foot shelves and bins, but nothing sits on the floor anymore. I found things I forgot I had, but, sadly, have a few things I can’t figure out where I put them ☹️.
Love a good organization show. We all need it sometimes. It’s the reality behind crafting and diy...and well...life.

Ok, hear me out, I did this on a smaller scale years ago, but I adhered a really cool fabric. I used a Tim Holtz cotton print. To the peg board, burned holes in the fabric to open the peg holes with a wood burn tool. Then distressed with inks as I liked a vintage vibe, and then put a few layers of clear coat to seal. It was awesome and unique.
