    Thank you for putting this on UA-cam. So much great information. I grew Dahlias for the first time this year and I 'drank the KoolAid' and now I'm hooked.

    So very helpful, thanks for recording this. I have no luck actually getting seeds from any dahlia blooms, I thought I did everything correct. I'll try again this fall.

    I'm in zone 8a South Carolina and new to dahlias, which I adore. I plan to overwinter in the ground with protection. If in the spring I see growth, is it too late to divide? I want to wait until there are eyes as this will be my first time dividing, but I am concerned I will miss my window. Also, am I understanding that I can cover with plastic and then mulch on top? What outdoor temps day/night do you recommend it be before I remove the plastic and mulch? Everyone's r help is greatly appreciated. Blessings

    In Ohio can I leave in ground covered and dig up in spring?

      @SwanIslandDahlias  2 роки тому

      Most likely not as the tubers can not freeze or rot!🌸

      I'm in NE Ohio - Zone 6B. Occassionally I've had a few tubers make it through our winters & resprout next Spring.. (They were accidently left in the ground). I wouldn't normally leave them in the ground bc of our heavy clay soils.

    It would be lovely if you have subjects time stamped so we could pop to the areas that would be most helpful. I don't have almost two hours to watch it and yet I need help with my container Dahlias.

      Thank you for your feedback! We wanted to get the video up as soon as we could! However, we will work on the chapters to elevate the experience! In the meantime, you can visit ( www.dahlias.com/help-center/how-to-grow-dahlias/spring#heading-growing-dahlias-in-containers ) for some good container growing information! Thanks a bunch! Have a great growing season!
