    That was the first useful review I've seen on a kids product. Thanks for putting this together.

    Great review. For future reference…post a list of all of the metrics you grade on for each score so that we can see and maybe place our own importance when planning a purchase. Great job though!

      It is a great wagon, and I agree, it would be great if the canopy could extend out farther.

      They do sell a visor attachment and when both canopies have a visor attached, they pretty much touch, giving full coverage from the top.

    Hi and thank you for this video! Do you know how the Veer Cruiser handles when trying to hop curbs? Also, what about napping? In January 2023, I will have a newborn & an older child who is currently 35 lbs & 36” tall already! Which is why we are considering a stroller wagon as opposed to a double stroller 🙂 Thanks so much!

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Рік тому

      Hey Joy, the Veer handle and frame is very strong, so when you have weight in the front and push down the handle in the back to jump a curb, it feels very stable, not like the extra stress is going to break something. If your older child is sitting in the front it will obviously take more force to get over the curb.
      There is a nap system that is sold separately that provides a flat base across the seats. The seats themselves are slightly reclined but they aren't that tall, so older kids can't lay their heads back and nap that easily like they can in some strollers. There is a Black Friday deal going on right now where you can get $100 off a Veer bundle: shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=2187724&u=988835&m=124094

    Would you choose this or the gladly anthem 4? I have a highlander and use my 3rd row so would probably have to remove all the wheels on the anthem to make it fit.

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Рік тому +1

      Yes I would choose the Veer over the Anthem although I like the Anthem too. There is also a 4 seater Veer now: amzn.to/3ERbzTT

      @@KidTravel1 thank you! Can you say what your main reasons are for liking the veer more?

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Рік тому +1

      The folding button on Anthems is sometimes very hard to press in. The Veer is very durable. Those are the main things. I like that the Anthem comes with canopies and a basket and handles much like the Veer.

    I was wondering if you would consider donating any of your wagons you no longer want or use?

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Рік тому

      We donate a lot of baby items but so far are hanging onto strollers and wagons so that we can compare them to future models.

    I’m concerned about the brake system. Is it sandal friendly?

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Рік тому +1

      Pushing down the brake with sandals is no problem. To release the brake you press a button with the front of your foot. It also isn't bad with sandals but you sometimes have to push hard.

    It’s so funny that I came across your video, because it’s such a quick watch and our Veer review is SO long 😂 I’m going to do a much better job of being concise on the XL review. It clearly was not a natural skill for me 🙈

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Рік тому

      I have this personal bias for shorter videos so I think that's where it comes from. But it takes so much work to do all the editing and filming that I've wondering whether I should do more longer ones so I could crank more out.

    • @StrollinSodaPops
      @StrollinSodaPops Рік тому +1

      @Kid Travel if you made it 7 or 8 minutes you'd have more time to flesh out your thoughts and it still wouldn't be a long video, not too much editing.

    just bout this thing----maybe it'll just need to get used to it, but so far i really don't like it. pushing it is really not an option; it will not go straight. VEER is the perfect name for it because when you push it, it goes everywhere but straight. pulling it like a traditional wagon is hard with my 4yo and 2yo in it. takes a lot to get it going. bumps are rough with this thing. i got spoiled with my kids bumbleride strollers i guess.

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Рік тому

      It really can be frustrating to keep it going straight. I’m less of a fan this style of handle bar than I used to be.

    Great review. Would you be able to share the interior dimensions of the wagon?

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  2 роки тому

      Thank you! Yes, I measured it as: 32.5" L 17.5" W 14" H. That height is from the bottom of the footwell and the length is between the tops of the seats. The seats lean back so the length from the base of each seat is about 30". The footwell is: 15" x 11" x 4.5"

    Seems to me that you have the jeep an unfair review with maneuverability. The jeep can be pushed from either handle which when compared to this one, you pushed the jeep with the small wheels forward because that's the most natural way of doing it. But this veer can only be pushed with the small wheels forward. The turning tests were also done the same way. Had you done the same with the jeep, I'm sure the jeep would've score higher than it did.

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Рік тому

      It's certainly true that the strollers with larger wheels on the back are easier to push over bumps being pushed backwards with the larger wheels in the lead. It makes sense from a testing perspective to perform all the tests from the most common and primary push direction as it was designed. There are all these weird quandaries I get into like rating sun coverage where most wagons come with the canopies but some require a separate purchase. If I pushed from the front instead of the back, for example, then should I lower the score on storage accessibility because not the basket is harder to get to. So I end up making judgement calls on many things trying to maintain a scoring system that is equitable and many times I'm not sure I've been totally fair. So I just try to provide as much info as I can and people can take everything into account and make a more informed decision.

    • @RobertoMezquiaJr
      @RobertoMezquiaJr Рік тому +1

      @@KidTravel1 I totally get that, and it's a very fair reply. I thank you for taking the time to reply. I think however the testing is still not covering all the bases and therefore giving an edge to some vs others. I am by no means an expert with this stuff which was why I sought out information online. Speaking from the Jeep side of things, it is more versatile in maneuverability because it can be pushed or pulled from either side with the included handles whereas something like the Veer only has one handle. So in a test like that, the jeep and others would get a high score and the veer would get a low score which would balance out the scores more closely. This was important to us and immediately knocked the veer from consideration. There were many other factors too but the Veer just didn't seem practical compared to some others.
      I'll also mention just because I noticed it in the video. Trying to shove anything in a Civic from 2001-2005 trunk is not a fair comparison to a modern compact car like the newer Civics since they've all grown up in size. But I get it, the current testing methodology is a benchmark of sorts that you have tested with many other wagons and is good to compare apples to apples.

    • @KidTravel1
      @KidTravel1  Рік тому +1

      Thanks very much for that feedback! I have 65 things that I rate and weight to develop the underlying scores and of course, only a little bit makes it into the videos. But there are some factors I can add that will should make it even more robust.

      @@KidTravel1 from a fellow reviewer, I enjoyed some features on the Jeep Wrangler but it’s one of my least favorite wagons we’ve had so far. I’d score it the same way as far as pushing it the way that the manufacturer intended it to be pushed.
