Only thing I truly love about demo general is getting rebel ambush and just using them to detonate around a bunch of power plants to disable defenses before pushing an army through. Also the jarmen kell is pretty cool having colonel Burtons abilities.

I actually thought demo should be higher since you have the best super weapon in the game and best general promotion in the game (how many times was your army leveled with a rebel ambush and u had 0 seconds to react to it ?) , but your justification that an experienced player won't let you get to that sweet late game is totally fair.
@@giygas9305 in gla mirrors, if the game gets to palaces and markets you're gonna see quite a few scud storms, especially on bigger maps, matches on farmlands of the fallen always have scuds.
@@alaaentabi7879 He mentions that already. Late-game Demo's fantastic but the more expensive vehicles _really_ hurt him, much more than you'd think at a glance. Techs, Quads, and Buggies are the GLA workhorses and *all* of them are more expensive for Demo. This means his main army is *always* smaller than other GLA generals. It's an easy to miss thing but a very big disadvantage for him in high-level play.
If stealth general had Jarmen stealthed as he shoots, and his tunnels had a setting where they can opt not to shoot when army is in range to remain stealthed, would make him equal to air. If tank came with battlemasters and overloards with the speed upgrade already rather than waiting for the nuke to uprgrade.... would balance him up against other armies. If laser had laser infantry which did medium damage against tanks and infantry, would make him also more balanced.
Having not played in a while (and being just a semi decent player) i would have expected the rating to be like this: S - Toxic A - Airforce, Stealth, Demo, Infantry B - GLA, USA, Nuke, Tank C - Laser, China D - Super Weapon Interesting you mention airforce should beat infantry, since I remember it being pretty common for the community to agree on the fact infantry was airforce's worst matchup (minigunners shooting everything down). Awesome to see that Zero Hour is still evolving.
Yes… it seems even to me as if Infantry should destroy Air Force, and it does, but with insane precision and sweat, Air Force wins. I think as long as you don’t let too many of your units die, you should be able to slaughter the infantry. But I haven’t tried this matchup much, too scary.
@@giygas9305 I did have this kind of matchup, Infrantry can beat Air Force early game even in late game since air force cannot hit all Infrantry if you spread out your units and would probably take out those air unit before they can even return to the airfield and also early game Infrantry domination is sick that you can win before air force can even prepare for a large engage on Infrantry. I say 70% win in favor of Infrantry for early game spike and late game spam domination since hackers hack faster than vanilla hackers.
I mostly agree with the ranks but not on all maps.. Like on a map like oil rampage with lots of money i would rank a general like SW higher coz having more money to defend early and go to the late game earlier where SW shines! But on most maps your ranking is spot on
One thing that throws a wrench into the list is Infantry vs Air Force. Air Force is definitely top tier, Infantry middle. But Infantry virtually hard counters Air Force, to the point that I would say he's the only general in the game that has a chance against an Air Force player of equal skill. No other general can defend against a humvee->raptor rush in time.
I wonder how much ZH meta has changed. One factor is that there are heaps more good maps than compared to just TD all day. That can affect ratings, eg if big maps are played more often, Stealth may become better
Yes true. The map plays a massive part. Here I’ve tried to do it in general so including all the latest big maps like liquid gold, oil rampage, snowy drought etc
Pretty wild that Generals pvp meta is so early game centric, dominated by humvees, when the biggest gimmick of the game is the General powers. Compare to Red Alert 2 where most powerful units in each faction tend to be mid-to late-tier stuff.

Obviously everyone has a different opinion but super weapon general is the best. Your power plants produce 8 or 10 power right off the back and 300% power with the same $500 upgrade. So it frees up more room for other buildings or units and you actually save money so you can make supply platform to get residual income fairly quickly. Getting that residual income first will help you win as you also got the best defenses because you have EMP missile defenses which only need one hit on target to completely take out aircraft. Tanks gets disabled and become useless against you, and you can have snipers for infantry or commanches or colonel Burton or Humvees
Demo, nuke,inf and gla should go to tier a, demo has expensive units but it could wreck a whole army with a demo trap or a couple of normal bikes even before the upgrade, also gla is the only faction if we call vanilla a faction where you could build tanks and stealth them using gps scrambler, imagine a group of stealthed scrops hitting their rocket in a instance and disappearing again after a second with all damage they would do .. inf is the spam king of all factions just spam spam spam and you'll win, lots of swarmy tough units to kill and at the same time they do lots of damage, plus they are the only china faction that could make a secondary economy, vetted stealth hackers that are cheaper if i recall.. nuke with all the better and faster china units should be at least in b tier if not a ... they could wreck any infantry of any army with their splash radiation and suicide tanks + they still have the capability to make helix,flamers,gattling tanks ... a good mix would make you win.
@@snatch051 inf issue is that u have to win fast cuz otherwise the other factions will find ways to destroy you: GLA has toxins (way worse vs Tox general), VChina can kite with dragon tanks firewall, gattlings and MiG, any USA faction hard counters you once they get pathfinders
in my opinion, superweapon barely deserves B tier, yes she is the weakest of all the USAs in the early game, but if you somehow mange to get past that time, you just win against all china´s and USAV/Laser. Yes she gets absolutly demolished by AFG but she can also hard counter generals like tank or nuke with emp micro and alpha auroras. also 2500 for a particle is VERY cheap, and burton is cheaper (Comanche 1800 is probably the worst price mutation you have for any general, and SWG comanche´s should also just cost 1200 like AFG in my opinion)
How happy are you with the overall balance and meta? If EA made a remaster, would you want it to preserve the game as is or be like Age Of Empires 2 DE with balance changes for individual factions and gameplay overall?
At least buff china. Make all the units 10% cheaper and build 0.5 secs faster. I like the idea of buffs rather than nerfs, think community will react better to it
@@DoMiNaToR3 Agree, usually experienced players on any game favors buffs, because it adds flavor and widens the skill cap. But game developers rarely make a buff until it's hugely in need. Because nerfing is just easier technically. I doubt any remaster would be produced as clinical as the original zero hour. I bet it'll have slow menues, they'll change the sounds and voice actors, complicated HUD and for sure they'll add some agendas, new modes, battle royal, or fatty soldiers to prevent fat shaming, and 90% of the generals would be "netflixed", being gay and black.
Vanilla China just… isn’t fun to use. All Vanillas are less interesting than the Generals. I hope if we ever get a remaster, the Generals are FAR More diversified, cut content like laser rangers and nuke tank hunters are brought back and balanced, Bring back Unplayable Generals like Leang (China Boss), Mohmar “Deathstrike” (He appears in GLA Mission 01 and was planned to be a General), And Ironside, who most people know. Deathstrike and Ironside are believed to be the GLA and USA equivalents of Leang.

Well I only put 3 armies above infantry if you look again. Remember that when pathfinders come out then infantry becomes almost useless which is a massive factor that has to be considered. Also mainly affecting tanks rating here is that pretty much any USA can go 2 full vees and ambulance and no matter what you can, you have probably lost the game. So regardless what else tank can do, it’s rating is already massively impacted by that
in my country syria we've been playing this game in local pubs for God knows how long and there were rules when we played: 1- no defences unless it's a tunnel network 2- no peace time attack from the first second 3- no superweapons unless you're china and need it for the upgrades then you build it and then sell it 4- always play on random and if you draw USA in a 1 vs 1 you reroll if there are more players then if there's too many players that are USA on the same team you reroll as USA is considered the weakest faction and pretty much in our lobbies GLA vanilla and toxin and demo are unbeatable.....if its late game then you have no chance against them just give up. Nuke and infantry is pretty much the same but weaker unless you get spammed with nuclear migs and a billion soldiers then gg its a done game. airforce can be S if played correctly yes but most players dont know how and the enemy dont give you a chance to build up...either way if youre playing it against a GLA faction then you're gonna get spammed with Quad cannons like there's no tommorow
There is a nice trick to massively improve the defenses of the laser general: build command center or particle cannon next to a straight row of laser turrets and force fire with the turrent adjacent to the particle on the particle cannon, keeping a doser nearby to repair. This will trigger the effect on the nearby laser turrents to massively increase their range.

Imo, against bots, literally ANY GLA general will do, their hero is OP, build a forward base near the enemy, empty a dozer with your hero’s special, run an infantry unit into it, and then take that dozer back to your tunnel network (swarm the enemy first to occupy their defences), then you can build a command center in your starting area. Now you can build dozers of theirs and start using chinese/american buildings and units
Id definitely put infantry in 2nd Spot A tier, My style of play includes extremely strong defenses that are guarded by migs from long range attacks. This style of play has proven imperishable by hard bots. Only a player could get thru it because they have critical thinking. But puahing with straight up 50 rpgs and 20 minigunners with 2 troop crawlers has been a proven strategy to delte everyone (other than usa when they send snipers, i have ptsd from those)

This is a human player ranking but can you please make a hard CPU Ranking?? For example, for the hard CPU stealth is the weakest but for human player it is strong.
S - Infantry because mini gunners and troop crawlers wrecks everything especially early game and most importantly, they're most likely to capture oil, Toxin hard counters infantry and the rebels wreck tanks, Tank general, like infantry, is great early game and is a nightmare when rich A - Stealth because it's the most difficult to spot, Demo because all units are annoying, especially those cycles, Laser is a nightmare when rich but ironically, USA isn't really fond of capturing oil. Super Weapon, great defenses but sucks early game but once it survives, it will become a nightmare for opponents. B - GLA , USA the most versatile, Air Force CPU sucks 1v1 but it's a decent support C - Nuke CPU is the most lackluster but they can be annoying if you focus on defense, China jack of all trades but master of none
AFG, tox, stealth/demo, SWG, Laser, GLA, USA, Nuke, China, Inf, Tank. Hard placing GLA, its basically same as stealth really. I'm more thinking of late game with these so I rank someone like SWG highly and inf lowly
Infantry is strong even late game. Later on you can afford troop crawler + outposts spam and that alone can win a game. I have no clue how can you place Infantry below vanilla China. Makes no sense.
Laser must be atleast in A tier in my opinion and inspite of everything u said demo must be at least in B tier (only my opinion )becuase demo is the one of the best army in the late game especially in no rules
Did you know 9 China radar van spread over the map remove all dog of war and show all stealth units? China Nuke is the only General that only have upgrades and no downgrade. No missing units. The OP Nuke MIG's is broken. All other generals have missing units and downgrades....
Alright.... I am a n00b at this game and nothing quite exemplifies that better than my very heavily loathing playing stealth... I just find getting able to counter armor so tedious with them but again... I am a n00b. My go-to playstyle (note: vs bots because idek anyone with the game to play vs) is wall, stall, and mass super weapons/mass auroras. My own list is Vchina, Sweapon and Nuke in B. stealth in D. Demo, Tanks and VGLA in C, AF in S. and Inf, Tox, and VUSA in A.... But again... I play vs bots and am a n00b....
The only good general against ai are the one that good at early game defending .Example: toxin, superweapon, Lazer and infantry. Other general is very hard to use because they have bad early game static defense
@@giygas9305 the graphics are excellent, remaster/new will be bright and toxic, just like any remaster/new nowadays. They just can't do games that don't look overdone anymore, everything must be special and overdone so that you have a mess on the screen. Just optimize/update game engine, remove freezes and it would've been fine along with balance patches changing the meta.
Air force usa is realy good , i once was in 3 vs 3 me and 2 friend armies were gla and we took mid fast were there is cash and supply , but we got obliterated pretty quick but stealth helicopters rockets , and we lost match fast with no chance, to me i am not that good at airforce usa the only game i remember being good at it , when we were on 4v4 map and i kept hitting enemies at different positions with stealth helicopters till they were weakened enough for my friends to win , but don't remember a very good 1v1 fight for usa air force, best army that i used was usa laser especially using combination of upgreaded laser tanks with drones in front with 2_3 anti air units ,1_2 Humvees full of snipers in middle.
My opinion Laser is best way to strong defend and if you build a row laser defensive in straight line from 4-5 or maybe more it have effect by laser can shot far range and it really good to fight and defend at higher range don't let enemy get to close to your defend and laser tank it's strong with firing laser at least up to 3 ranks but still need cover by humvee combine pathfinder in humvee and need avengers to lock enemy missle 😅 so it's still not flexible to moving need a lot cover.

Laser is my main but I don’t even build laser defenses much anymore XD. I build 1 or 2 maybe but only build more if I’m in really late game and say… have my enemy surrounded. I’m not a competitive player but I am heading that way XD.
Disclaimer: I am no pro, and I favor a game over 15 min anytime... Really early game play has no meaning for me. In my opinion Stealth is overrated here. You have no tanks, GLA vanilla can also stealth its tunnels. So what is the benefit of stealth. Fair enough you have stealthed hijackers from the very start and can just get the other factions tech. If you count this as a strength, then yes it is more powerful compared to Demo or GLA vanilla. But without another faction is is pretty much useless in late game compared to a GLA vanilla, which can do all the same thinks. Also Demo with the Demo Rebel Ambush and Demo Scud (launchers and SW) is also way to underrated here. In my opinion Tank is the weakest because he has no late game and much to expensive 2nd eco. Tank -> D Nuke is the best in the offence of all China factions. Dont underestimate Nuke MiKs, and early game nuke battelmasters, also free nuke canon... One hit of those and your army is pretty much toast. But what annoys me most is SW general. This is easily the strongest player in late game. What can you do against an financially Independent SW behind a big wall of EMP Patriots and snipers. If you attack with more than 2 units a Aurora will kill everything except it is stealthed. You can kill the whole base just by auroras. There is no way you can protect against these things... also early SW because only 2500... SW-> S or B But thanks for the video. It is still amazing how balanced this game is. Nothing compares to this masterwork of a game to this day. :D
Stealth hijackers is fucking dope. Too be honest, I don’t play the other Generals enough. I pretty much only use Laser General. Recently I’ve just been hitting “Random” and going with it, but I wish there was an option to remove certain teams from Random because I don’t want Vanilla teams like USA and GLA and especially not China.
I suggest watch some top level demo and inf vs anything games. Maybe watch 100 and you might change your mind. Demo is very weak vs all the other glas and against all the usas except Swg, and inf very strong in general against everything
@@DoMiNaToR3 I have. You can argue that things are more expensive and demo doesn't deal with lixes very well. But even if you consider GLA demo as regular gla with more expensive units, Demo is stronger than inf. You have so much greater versatility and mobility. Inf has trouble dealing with a tech RPG. And during late game, inf has trouble dealing with a scud launcher. Demo vs other glas plays like a GLA with more expensive units. But demo's special units are extremely cost effective. demo traps, db and etc are game changers. Just having 1 or 2 db forces your oppenent in to quads, allowing you to make scorps to trade effectively. buggies vs buggies is where demo is the weakest :p
Me and my friends started playing against each other recently, (We’ve ALWAYS played against only CPUs) but one of my buddies absolutely refuses to play against human players, and he won’t explain why. Kind of annoying cause he wants to play against CPUs all the time even though we’ve all played this game for over 10 years. He HAS played 1v1 with me a few years ago but he gave up after his initial attack failed. (I think he had watched a few UA-cam videos on how to win XD.) Do you guys know how I could convince him to actually play against people? Maybe he’s just afraid to lose to humans, but he’s fine playing against people on FPS games…. My other friends and I can play just fine (I think I’m overall the best player, but I have hardly any experience against humans.)
I really don't see your point on how Nuke is the worst China against any USA... If anything, it's way better than Tank and regular china against any USA and I guess it ties with infantry if not better (Ahem Ahem... Pathfinders & Flashbangs). It has the fastest units of any China. Especially the Nuke Battlemasters are perfect against the V's early game when the V's & Missile Defenders are low on numbers. MiGs with the upgrade from the prop center is enough to wreck armies of V's. No need for for nuke MiG upgrade even, unless if the game is gonna last long of course. And last but not least... Nuke carpet bomb.
In my opinion nuke is way better than any army in the game battle master kills homvee very easy and nuke long range can kill atleast 5 homvee with just 1 shot and because of nuke soldiers dies when nuke shoot and epm can distract usa long range and with a army of gatteling tank airforce have no chanse and in the late game hackers make double money vs gla and usa and nuke mig is so powerful and nuke can even make overload that destroy any thank and nuke thanks are so quick@DoMiNaToR3
GLA TOX RPG TROOPER IS THE MOST OP ANTI TANK INFANTRY. even with no AP rocket upgrade they can still damage tanks equal to the dmg output of ordinary trooper with AP rocket upgrade 😂😂😂
Lol I love when my enemy gets Air Force.. just spam quads or gatlings or avengers.. nothing can be done. And other units for damaging buildings.. Any GLA will demolish Air Force in my opinion. Also China INF.. Super Weapon has better airfiled than airforce.. Auroras just destroy everything.
As a Air Force main, I have no problems with this list. Its just a pain when I fight any China main because the Flare/Chaff upgrade is practically useless when I enter a base full of Gatling Guns. Gatlings are such a hard counter to Air Force General and I think the only saving grace are the Auroras and their 50% speed buff when attacking. So its fun but a few mods that give the AF more to choose from goes hard too. There are some mods that buff certain generals. I forgot which mod, but between Rise of the Reds, Shockwave and Operation Firestorm, there was a High-Tech General that replaces the Super Weapon General and it was stupidly overpowered in terms General Abilities and the Drone Warfare
man lotsa people really underestimate the laser general true he doesnt have that much features but laser crusader and laser turrets but i had an easier time against the final boss general with him. laser turrets are the strongest defenses among all the other armies
Niphen, casual is completely different. My friends try saying “no Aurora bombers” because I would constantly send them in even though they die 99% of the time and are spendy af. Trying to ban powerful weapons just leads to endless stalemates. My 1v1 match with my friend today I stopped using auroras cause he said they were not fun to fight (I was Superweapon, I pretty much only use Laser XD) but that just led to him making layers and layers of laser defenses and avengers which became nearly unkillable, only strategy that kind of worked was Microwave Tanks, which I NEVER use lol, and Humvees (because avengers block missiles), but it was slow going and the match was getting laggy. I eventually just built auroras and killed him in a few minutes
We’ve also tried playing with no super weapons or General abilities, plus no rushing and yeah…. Boring stalemate where my friend has 50 or so Scud Launchers shooting outside his base which is surrounded by defenses and no matter what I tried, couldn’t even dent it.
I’m much better than my friends at expanding and collecting supplies. I usually cover a large percentage of the map while they might get 1 extra tech or supply pile.
I'm baffled how you gloss over the differences between Laser and Vanilla USA Laser has cheaper Avengers, and no Tomohawks. Especially cheaper Avengers (1500 instead of 2000) makes a big difference. Laser tanks are a lot better than normal tanks. On top of that, Laser cannot get Paladin tanks. Vanilla USA is actually the only faction that can get Paladin tanks. And you didn't mention laser turrets either, which are miles ahead of Patriots, especially because they bypass point defense lasers and can take out moving infantry. Alongside those, Laser also gets the more efficient power plants. Overall I think it's "fair" to put them on the same level, but they have a lot more differences than saying "Well they are kinda the same" (apparently because *you* play vees every game). A lot of people would absolutely prefer Laser in almost any matchup.
US laser is dumb and useless, US vanilla is better. Paladin is removed from US laser general when that tank literally has a laser on top that deflect projectiles. Why remove that from a general that likes lasers? lol
I’m talking expert level 1v1 matches. How many paladins do you see in those matches? Laser turrets you might see 1 of them. But 1500 avenger is strong for sure, especially vs chinaV. But not enough to put it a whole level higher in my view
Air force is by far not even close to the strongest general. USA in general can't be ranked as top. It's always between China and GLA because their generals can do more. China Infantry devastates every except GLA Toxin, and GLA Toxin and Stealth dominate almost every general they go up against, too. But Granger is weak to Kwai, Fai, and all GLA factions. I'm not sure why you would place him at number 1.

If stealth general had Jarmen stealthed as he shoots, and his tunnels had a setting where they can opt not to shoot when army is in range to remain stealthed, would make him equal to air. If tank came with battlemasters and overloards with the speed upgrade already rather than waiting for the nuke to uprgrade.... would balance him up against other armies. If laser had laser infantry which did medium damage against tanks and infantry, would make him also more balanced.

Interesting you mention airforce should beat infantry, since I remember it being pretty common for the community to agree on the fact infantry was airforce's worst matchup (minigunners shooting everything down). Awesome to see that Zero Hour is still evolving.

Yes… it seems even to me as if Infantry should destroy Air Force, and it does, but with insane precision and sweat, Air Force wins. I think as long as you don’t let too many of your units die, you should be able to slaughter the infantry. But I haven’t tried this matchup much, too scary.
@@giygas9305 I did have this kind of matchup, Infrantry can beat Air Force early game even in late game since air force cannot hit all Infrantry if you spread out your units and would probably take out those air unit before they can even return to the airfield and also early game Infrantry domination is sick that you can win before air force can even prepare for a large engage on Infrantry. I say 70% win in favor of Infrantry for early game spike and late game spam domination since hackers hack faster than vanilla hackers.

One thing that throws a wrench into the list is Infantry vs Air Force. Air Force is definitely top tier, Infantry middle. But Infantry virtually hard counters Air Force, to the point that I would say he's the only general in the game that has a chance against an Air Force player of equal skill. No other general can defend against a humvee->raptor rush in time.
I wonder how much ZH meta has changed. One factor is that there are heaps more good maps than compared to just TD all day. That can affect ratings, eg if big maps are played more often, Stealth may become better

Pretty wild that Generals pvp meta is so early game centric, dominated by humvees, when the biggest gimmick of the game is the General powers. Compare to Red Alert 2 where most powerful units in each faction tend to be mid-to late-tier stuff.

Obviously everyone has a different opinion but super weapon general is the best. Your power plants produce 8 or 10 power right off the back and 300% power with the same $500 upgrade. So it frees up more room for other buildings or units and you actually save money so you can make supply platform to get residual income fairly quickly. Getting that residual income first will help you win as you also got the best defenses because you have EMP missile defenses which only need one hit on target to completely take out aircraft. Tanks gets disabled and become useless against you, and you can have snipers for infantry or commanches or colonel Burton or Humvees
I would like to see tier list of shockwave mod, who anyways plays vanilla zh anymore with all these amazing mods avaliable 🤷♂️

Demo, nuke,inf and gla should go to tier a, demo has expensive units but it could wreck a whole army with a demo trap or a couple of normal bikes even before the upgrade, also gla is the only faction if we call vanilla a faction where you could build tanks and stealth them using gps scrambler, imagine a group of stealthed scrops hitting their rocket in a instance and disappearing again after a second with all damage they would do .. inf is the spam king of all factions just spam spam spam and you'll win, lots of swarmy tough units to kill and at the same time they do lots of damage, plus they are the only china faction that could make a secondary economy, vetted stealth hackers that are cheaper if i recall.. nuke with all the better and faster china units should be at least in b tier if not a ... they could wreck any infantry of any army with their splash radiation and suicide tanks + they still have the capability to make helix,flamers,gattling tanks ... a good mix would make you win.

in my opinion, superweapon barely deserves B tier, yes she is the weakest of all the USAs in the early game, but if you somehow mange to get past that time, you just win against all china´s and USAV/Laser. Yes she gets absolutly demolished by AFG but she can also hard counter generals like tank or nuke with emp micro and alpha auroras. also 2500 for a particle is VERY cheap, and burton is cheaper (Comanche 1800 is probably the worst price mutation you have for any general, and SWG comanche´s should also just cost 1200 like AFG in my opinion)

But game developers rarely make a buff until it's hugely in need. Because nerfing is just easier technically. I doubt any remaster would be produced as clinical as the original zero hour. I bet it'll have slow menues, they'll change the sounds and voice actors, complicated HUD and for sure they'll add some agendas, new modes, battle royal, or fatty soldiers to prevent fat shaming, and 90% of the generals would be "netflixed", being gay and black.

1st, his army is so slow (they should have gave the default speed upgrade to him rather than to the nuke general), therefore it can be kited and wrapped around or out macroed easily

Well I only put 3 armies above infantry if you look again. Remember that when pathfinders come out then infantry becomes almost useless which is a massive factor that has to be considered.
Also mainly affecting tanks rating here is that pretty much any USA can go 2 full vees and ambulance and no matter what you can, you have probably lost the game. So regardless what else tank can do, it’s rating is already massively impacted by that
in my country syria we've been playing this game in local pubs for God knows how long and there were rules when we played:
1- no defences unless it's a tunnel network
2- no peace time attack from the first second
3- no superweapons unless you're china and need it for the upgrades then you build it and then sell it
4- always play on random and if you draw USA in a 1 vs 1 you reroll
if there are more players then if there's too many players that are USA on the same team you reroll as USA is considered the weakest faction
and pretty much in our lobbies GLA vanilla and toxin and demo are unbeatable.....if its late game then you have no chance against them just give up.
Nuke and infantry is pretty much the same but weaker unless you get spammed with nuclear migs and a billion soldiers then gg its a done game.
airforce can be S if played correctly yes but most players dont know how and the enemy dont give you a chance to build up...either way if youre playing it against a GLA faction then you're gonna get spammed with Quad cannons like there's no tommorow

There is a nice trick to massively improve the defenses of the laser general: build command center or particle cannon next to a straight row of laser turrets and force fire with the turrent adjacent to the particle on the particle cannon, keeping a doser nearby to repair. This will trigger the effect on the nearby laser turrents to massively increase their range.

Imo, against bots, literally ANY GLA general will do, their hero is OP, build a forward base near the enemy, empty a dozer with your hero’s special, run an infantry unit into it, and then take that dozer back to your tunnel network (swarm the enemy first to occupy their defences), then you can build a command center in your starting area.
Now you can build dozers of theirs and start using chinese/american buildings and units

Id definitely put infantry in 2nd Spot A tier, My style of play includes extremely strong defenses that are guarded by migs from long range attacks. This style of play has proven imperishable by hard bots. Only a player could get thru it because they have critical thinking. But puahing with straight up 50 rpgs and 20 minigunners with 2 troop crawlers has been a proven strategy to delte everyone (other than usa when they send snipers, i have ptsd from those)

This is a human player ranking but can you please make a hard CPU Ranking?? For example, for the hard CPU stealth is the weakest but for human player it is strong.

S - Infantry because mini gunners and troop crawlers wrecks everything especially early game and most importantly, they're most likely to capture oil, Toxin hard counters infantry and the rebels wreck tanks, Tank general, like infantry, is great early game and is a nightmare when rich
A - Stealth because it's the most difficult to spot, Demo because all units are annoying, especially those cycles, Laser is a nightmare when rich but ironically, USA isn't really fond of capturing oil. Super Weapon, great defenses but sucks early game but once it survives, it will become a nightmare for opponents.
B - GLA , USA the most versatile, Air Force CPU sucks 1v1 but it's a decent support
C - Nuke CPU is the most lackluster but they can be annoying if you focus on defense, China jack of all trades but master of none

FFA normally is pro rules which means no demo upgrade. So no decent ambush and no bikes either.
Laser must be atleast in A tier in my opinion and inspite of everything u said demo must be at least in B tier (only my opinion )becuase demo is the one of the best army in the late game especially in no rules

Alright.... I am a n00b at this game and nothing quite exemplifies that better than my very heavily loathing playing stealth... I just find getting able to counter armor so tedious with them but again... I am a n00b. My go-to playstyle (note: vs bots because idek anyone with the game to play vs) is wall, stall, and mass super weapons/mass auroras. My own list is Vchina, Sweapon and Nuke in B. stealth in D. Demo, Tanks and VGLA in C, AF in S. and Inf, Tox, and VUSA in A.... But again... I play vs bots and am a n00b....

The only good general against ai are the one that good at early game defending .Example: toxin, superweapon, Lazer and infantry. Other general is very hard to use because they have bad early game static defense

@@giygas9305 the graphics are excellent, remaster/new will be bright and toxic, just like any remaster/new nowadays. They just can't do games that don't look overdone anymore, everything must be special and overdone so that you have a mess on the screen.
Just optimize/update game engine, remove freezes and it would've been fine along with balance patches changing the meta.

Air force usa is realy good , i once was in 3 vs 3 me and 2 friend armies were gla and we took mid fast were there is cash and supply , but we got obliterated pretty quick but stealth helicopters rockets , and we lost match fast with no chance, to me i am not that good at airforce usa the only game i remember being good at it , when we were on 4v4 map and i kept hitting enemies at different positions with stealth helicopters till they were weakened enough for my friends to win , but don't remember a very good 1v1 fight for usa air force, best army that i used was usa laser especially using combination of upgreaded laser tanks with drones in front with 2_3 anti air units ,1_2 Humvees full of snipers in middle.
For sure air is the best. And even stronger in team games if played in the middle
My opinion Laser is best way to strong defend and if you build a row laser defensive in straight line from 4-5 or maybe more it have effect by laser can shot far range and it really good to fight and defend at higher range don't let enemy get to close to your defend and laser tank it's strong with firing laser at least up to 3 ranks but still need cover by humvee combine pathfinder in humvee and need avengers to lock enemy missle 😅 so it's still not flexible to moving need a lot cover.

Disclaimer: I am no pro, and I favor a game over 15 min anytime... Really early game play has no meaning for me.
In my opinion Stealth is overrated here. You have no tanks, GLA vanilla can also stealth its tunnels. So what is the benefit of stealth. Fair enough you have stealthed hijackers from the very start and can just get the other factions tech. If you count this as a strength, then yes it is more powerful compared to Demo or GLA vanilla. But without another faction is is pretty much useless in late game compared to a GLA vanilla, which can do all the same thinks.
Also Demo with the Demo Rebel Ambush and Demo Scud (launchers and SW) is also way to underrated here.
In my opinion Tank is the weakest because he has no late game and much to expensive 2nd eco. Tank -> D
Nuke is the best in the offence of all China factions. Dont underestimate Nuke MiKs, and early game nuke battelmasters, also free nuke canon... One hit of those and your army is pretty much toast.
But what annoys me most is SW general. This is easily the strongest player in late game. What can you do against an financially Independent SW behind a big wall of EMP Patriots and snipers. If you attack with more than 2 units a Aurora will kill everything except it is stealthed. You can kill the whole base just by auroras. There is no way you can protect against these things... also early SW because only 2500... SW-> S or B

Recently I’ve just been hitting “Random” and going with it, but I wish there was an option to remove certain teams from Random because I don’t want Vanilla teams like USA and GLA and especially not China.
Demo should swap with inf. Or at least be a tier higher.
I suggest watch some top level demo and inf vs anything games. Maybe watch 100 and you might change your mind. Demo is very weak vs all the other glas and against all the usas except Swg, and inf very strong in general against everything
@@DoMiNaToR3 I have. You can argue that things are more expensive and demo doesn't deal with lixes very well. But even if you consider GLA demo as regular gla with more expensive units, Demo is stronger than inf. You have so much greater versatility and mobility. Inf has trouble dealing with a tech RPG. And during late game, inf has trouble dealing with a scud launcher.
Demo vs other glas plays like a GLA with more expensive units. But demo's special units are extremely cost effective. demo traps, db and etc are game changers. Just having 1 or 2 db forces your oppenent in to quads, allowing you to make scorps to trade effectively.

Me and my friends started playing against each other recently, (We’ve ALWAYS played against only CPUs) but one of my buddies absolutely refuses to play against human players, and he won’t explain why.
Kind of annoying cause he wants to play against CPUs all the time even though we’ve all played this game for over 10 years.
He HAS played 1v1 with me a few years ago but he gave up after his initial attack failed. (I think he had watched a few UA-cam videos on how to win XD.)
Do you guys know how I could convince him to actually play against people? Maybe he’s just afraid to lose to humans, but he’s fine playing against people on FPS games….

I really don't see your point on how Nuke is the worst China against any USA... If anything, it's way better than Tank and regular china against any USA and I guess it ties with infantry if not better (Ahem Ahem... Pathfinders & Flashbangs).
It has the fastest units of any China. Especially the Nuke Battlemasters are perfect against the V's early game when the V's & Missile Defenders are low on numbers.
MiGs with the upgrade from the prop center is enough to wreck armies of V's. No need for for nuke MiG upgrade even, unless if the game is gonna last long of course.
And last but not least... Nuke carpet bomb.

As a Air Force main, I have no problems with this list. Its just a pain when I fight any China main because the Flare/Chaff upgrade is practically useless when I enter a base full of Gatling Guns. Gatlings are such a hard counter to Air Force General and I think the only saving grace are the Auroras and their 50% speed buff when attacking. So its fun but a few mods that give the AF more to choose from goes hard too. There are some mods that buff certain generals. I forgot which mod, but between Rise of the Reds, Shockwave and Operation Firestorm, there was a High-Tech General that replaces the Super Weapon General and it was stupidly overpowered in terms General Abilities and the Drone Warfare
man lotsa people really underestimate the laser general true he doesnt have that much features but laser crusader and laser turrets but i had an easier time against the final boss general with him. laser turrets are the strongest defenses among all the other armies

My friends try saying “no Aurora bombers” because I would constantly send them in even though they die 99% of the time and are spendy af.
Trying to ban powerful weapons just leads to endless stalemates. My 1v1 match with my friend today I stopped using auroras cause he said they were not fun to fight (I was Superweapon, I pretty much only use Laser XD) but that just led to him making layers and layers of laser defenses and avengers which became nearly unkillable, only strategy that kind of worked was Microwave Tanks, which I NEVER use lol, and Humvees (because avengers block missiles), but it was slow going and the match was getting laggy.
I eventually just built auroras and killed him in a few minutes
We’ve also tried playing with no super weapons or General abilities, plus no rushing and yeah….
Boring stalemate where my friend has 50 or so Scud Launchers shooting outside his base which is surrounded by defenses and no matter what I tried, couldn’t even dent it.
I’m much better than my friends at expanding and collecting supplies. I usually cover a large percentage of the map while they might get 1 extra tech or supply pile.
Sorry for going on lol but top tier strategies are all pretty much just rushing the enemy.

You should make tier list based on starting money. Starting 10k and 50k is very different

Laser has cheaper Avengers, and no Tomohawks. Especially cheaper Avengers (1500 instead of 2000) makes a big difference.
Laser tanks are a lot better than normal tanks. On top of that, Laser cannot get Paladin tanks. Vanilla USA is actually the only faction that can get Paladin tanks.
And you didn't mention laser turrets either, which are miles ahead of Patriots, especially because they bypass point defense lasers and can take out moving infantry. Alongside those, Laser also gets the more efficient power plants.
Overall I think it's "fair" to put them on the same level, but they have a lot more differences than saying "Well they are kinda the same" (apparently because *you* play vees every game). A lot of people would absolutely prefer Laser in almost any matchup.

US laser is dumb and useless, US vanilla is better. Paladin is removed from US laser general when that tank literally has a laser on top that deflect projectiles. Why remove that from a general that likes lasers? lol

I’m talking expert level 1v1 matches. How many paladins do you see in those matches? Laser turrets you might see 1 of them.
But 1500 avenger is strong for sure, especially vs chinaV. But not enough to put it a whole level higher in my view

Air force is by far not even close to the strongest general. USA in general can't be ranked as top. It's always between China and GLA because their generals can do more. China Infantry devastates every except GLA Toxin, and GLA Toxin and Stealth dominate almost every general they go up against, too. But Granger is weak to Kwai, Fai, and all GLA factions. I'm not sure why you would place him at number 1.
