Our love affair with braids knows no bounds. That said, coming up with a fresh idea that’s also easy to pull off can be tricky. Today beauty guru Joey Maalouf shows our friend Dulce Candy how to rock the mohawk braid, a.k.a. the hottest summer hairstyle ever.
Start off with a dramatic, deep side part and section off the piece of hair you’re going to braid. Use a gel serum to add a little shine and tame flyaways. Start braiding at the very front, and as you continue simply add hair to the braid from the outside. Secure the braid with a clear elastic, and then place it where you want it to be with bobby pins and hairspray. When curling the rest of your hair, pick out random pieces and create messy waves. Lock in the look with hairspray, and you’re ready to go!
