    after watching a video on making purple gold recently [it's real pretty stuff though only about 80% gold] and one important thing i notice in this video, those larger rocks are about the same color as fine powdered gold

    Very cool, are you gonna crush the bigger ore?

      Yes I will. I wanted to see if I could find any gold without crushing it first.

    You have to pulverize gold ore to get the gold out!

    Have you heard of the concept of crushing ore to powder? Thats how you get gold out of ore.

      Not sure if youre being sarcastic, but he's got a rock pulverizer. He was just checking this stuff first to see if it had anything before powdering it.

    allways though about cleaning up the ground under an old washplant site after they done a washplant move when i was watching series like goldrush
    i think since they only washing paydirt that if i was using a small shovelfed washplant and plenty of free time could actually make a little bit of money picking through those leftovers under the place where they fed the plant and under the shakerdeck might even be worth it sifting through the silt left at the end of where the sluice would dump though that gold would probably be superfine
    think these guys are smart enough to make a few passes with a shovels and scrape of the top of it and truck it to the new washplant site to be processed again
    since the material youre processing is mined from rock and not dug out of an acient riverbed i doubt there be any loose gold in there , if you want to get gold out of the ore you probably need to pound the ore intoo dust and process that

      I’ve gotten dirt from around big wash plants a few times and have always found pretty good gold.
      I was able to find a few pieces of gold without crushing this rock but when I get time I’ll go back and crush up everything that came out of the trommel. I should get a lot more gold that way.

    I guess I don't get it 🤔 you get a whole bunch of bags of quartz ore and don't crush it to get the gold. Instead, you just wash the quarts really good by running it all through the trommel. But then you actually expected gold in the cleanup??? If that's the case, then why not classify it at the bin so what you brought back would just be the fines???

    • @Matt_the_Miner
      @Matt_the_Miner  8 місяців тому +1

      The reason I ran it through the trommel was to show people that don’t have a crusher at home that they can still find gold. I’ll crush bigger rock soon. And because everything was either frozen or wet I couldn’t effectively classify it at the ore bin because I didn’t have water.

    • @aumetalmental8403
      @aumetalmental8403 8 місяців тому +1

      I agree, to classify properly water is necessary. I didn't realize it was a 2 part mission. I just started watching your videos so I'm not familiar with your process. I have a couple claims myself and try to watch different prospects/miners to maybe pick up some applicable knowledge. You know what they say "The more you know..."

      @@aumetalmental8403 i do the same and try to learn from others as well. I normally just crush it first and be done with it but I felt like doing something different this time.

    Why did he not crush the ore before running it it's one thing to do a test pan, to have an idea of what your looking at. But this whole video was a waist of time
