  • This is my second review of the TADEEVO minimalist shoes, this time after using them for roughly 1,5 years.
I discuss what I've put them through, show you where there is the most wear and tear and conclude that I still think that they are an awesome piece of work and I'll deffinitely get myself another pair of them.
Also some of my students got themselves their own pairs and they are just as happy with them as I am.
Check out this link to watch review #1 from about 1.5 years ago, since I also discuss the importance of minimalist shoes and barefootwalking there: • TADEEVO MINIMALIST SHO...

Thanks for doing a thorough review after wearing it for a long time, and especially for pointing out that the soles are slippery when wet. I’m not a runner, just looking for a summer work shoe; my job takes me on all kinds of terrain. I tried Saguaros, and the slippage is my biggest complaint with them.

I just got my Tadeevo shoes in the mail today and they seem very well made and put together. They also came in less than a weeks time, I believe. Seem to be one of the better made minimalist shoes in general and are VERY LIGHTWEIGHT! The pair only weighs 12oz! Definitely the lightest shoe I've ever worn! So far, so good!

There's another version for $5 more with more leather on the sides where the rips happened for you. Thinking of getting those if they go on sale.

Going to switch to minimilist footwear soon. I do think some shoes require a different structure and support for the foot depending on the activity and surface. However, i wish the science would be done to make shoes that are more naturally suited for people engaging in jobs like construction work where protection from heavy objects and punctures are more likely to cause severe damage. Its kinda difficult to believe that a big company like Nike wouldn't be doing research and consulting with experts in the field of podiatry to make their product better. Customization and tailoring shoes for each individual's foot would be an ideal option in the future.

No, shoes should support structure. Shoes should only act as protective layer.

I purchased these shoes based off of the size of my new balance minimalist shoes. The shoes they sent me were at least two sizes bigger. They do have a return policy, and this is their return policy:
Leave a note in the box, whether you want a refund or to exchange them.
They do not send you shipping labels so you are responsible to pay for the return shipping. I brought these to FedEx and shipping these back would’ve cost at least $240.
So now I’m just out the entire cost of the shoes for something that I will never use because they don’t fit me.
    BUYER BEWARE.
Or better yet just don’t buy them.

Hey! Since this 1.5 years includes Austrian winter and they are not comfy in - 20 degrees celcius nope deffinitely not every day. But 90% of the time when temperature allowed.. unless it was +30... then I'm really barefoot.

I have just discovered your channel looking about TADEEVO and it's a wonderful gift for me. I will starts to see all your videos. I have seen only this one but I think all your information is invaluable.
Thank you so much for your detailed video and review. I've come here looking for a replacement for the Merrell Vapor Glove 3 shoes. They are very good as a Barefoot shoes, but his upper is very bad build and the mesh is badly deteriorated only with natural bending when walking.
How cold are the TADEEVO for walking on winter? I'm talking about to 10 degrees and wear wool socks. It's the upper only a type of grid or is something denser?

I'm coming from the Merrell trail gloves and vapor gloves as well. Did you get these? How are they as a change from the Merrells?

    •  3 роки тому +1

@@TebTengri Hi, I use Merrell Vapor Glove. I tried Tadeevo (The vegan's model) one year ago and I returned them. I can't remember exactly what was my feeling, but this is what I wrote to them:
"Id doesn't feel confortable for me. I had one strange sensation when I used with socks. Like they slip a little between socks and the floor of the shoes."
For me, Merrells are cheaper, looks nicer and more confortable.

Love the review and update, and there still aren’t enough reviews for Tadeevo so it’s really helpful. Do you have a view on how these compare to Xero HFS or Zelen? And does your foot ever “fall off” the edge of the sole?

    • @fatangel09
      @fatangel09 Рік тому

      Hi there,
Totally agree there should be more Tadeevo reviews out there. I’ve had the vegan Tadeevo Bliss shoes for around a year since watching this review. They’re brilliant shoes - incredibly comfortable and very grippy. I haven’t experienced any “falling off” the side of the sole and highly recommend them for more experienced barefoot runners. I also have the Xeros and they’re pretty good - pretty comfortable but nearly so grippy (bad in the wet) and a little less ground feel. In my opinion both are far better than Vivobarefoot, last way longer than Vibrams (I run through them very quickly). The other company I’d recommend is Freet. I have the Pace and that’s also very comfortable, almost as grippy and also very hard waring. Hope that helps others out there considering options, and happy running!

Hey man! Sorry for the late reply! If it still helps: The brand is E9 it's an italian rockclimbing brand. They have shirts, sweaters, long pants and also 3/4 and short pant versions in the same basic style. I love them a lot. They are quite durable and allow for great mobility and free movement.
      Hope this helps.

Yes great shoe, except their new ones the bottom now feels more plastic and is even a bit slippery on laminate flooring. My opinion new bottoms not good at all. I also loved the fact that the bottom where the arch of the foot lays it it’s to be leather now it is also the new plastic bottom.😢

Would you have any advice for adding some cushioning to these and slowly progess to the shoe itself with no added cushion?

Hey, so finally here is a propper reply.
I wouldn't suggest cushioning. Here are the reasons: 1st, cushioning only makes the foot, thus the whole mechanical chain from there upwards unstable. There are biomechanical studies that clearly show that using cushioning actually increases the pressure and mechanical loads in the knees rather than reducing them.
This is because with "a more unstable ground" aka a cushioning the leg muscles have to work more to stabalize the joints.
So the real support in "regular" shoes actually comes from the arch suport and the ankle support.
Here is what I would suggest instead: Use the barefoot shoes but not 24/7. Rather start by using them just half an hour or maybe an hour. Or in other words just use them at the beginning to hop to th shop around the corner and back to start with. then if this is already enough for you to feel the arches the next day or the heel, then even give yourself a day break and then repeat the next day...
I think the most important thing when starting to use such shoes is to start and pay attention to ones gait and the mechanics of it.
The foot doesn't need any added cushioning if the roll off phase and walking mechanics works well. Either way, whether you have great mecahnics or not and are just not used to being barefoot or using barefoot shoes I would suggest to start conditioning slowly. The body will react within a couple of days to adapt to new mechanical loads. So you are likely to see the first results within a couple of weeks tops. If any additional pain occures, or the feet don't seem to recover from the barefoot walking check your walking mechanics. This is a huge topic, but there are some relatively simple things one can keep in mind to optimize gait a lot.
You can check out the walking videos on my channel to get some ideas. And just reach out with any additional questions you might have.
Let me know if this reply is of help to you. Or you need additional input.
      Have a great day!

@@beyondsystems-egwinertl My Tadeevos finally arrived. Sadly though I'm concerned that they do not go well with the shape of my foot. I'm not sure exactly how these particular shoes are supposed to fit but they seem "off" around the outer portion where my smallest toe rests. I can literally feel that my outer foot near that area is slightly spilling over past the edge of the sole. The length is fine but I'm not sure exactly how these shoes are supposed to fit, either I'm just not used to this particular shoe or my feet are super wide. How do yours fit at that part of your feet?
