I’m so happy for your videos my friend is turning 70 and I’m making 70 different card, half of them our from your video. Thanks for all your ideas 2:56
The colours you used on this beautiful butterfly card are so full of spring through to summer promises Sam. Sunny days and and flashes of colour. What a really pretty card and I love butterflies too. Lol, there was a bit of an addiction in my card making, where there would always be one hidden somewhere 😄 Got to the stage where they were expected... Not so much these days, but I still like to a butterfly when I can. Xxx Thanks for another beauty Sam. Xxx
I love this so much, following you instructions it seems very achievable for the card maker but will equally blow the mind of a non crafty recipient. I am going to try it soon!
So lovely! You’re so clever! Where do you get your 12x12 stash from? I can only seem to get hold of textured card stock in this size? I think it’s crafters companion xx
@@MixedUpCraft ah thanks for replying Sam, was hoping you would have a national stockist too. I’ve seen some of your goodies for your local store, and it looks so good! Such a shame tonic don’t do the 12x12 anymore…I guess my search continues. I’m just in the middle of making a rosette, and your tutorials make it look sooo easy! I haven’t got enough hands to hold it all in🤔😂 xx
This is truly a unique card. I notice that you're from UK. Is it possible to give the metric measurements PLEASE! I have no idea how to work with inches and such, never mind 5 8ths of something.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it. Sorry but I don't work in metric, but if you pop my measurements into this conversion calculator it does it all for you. 😊 conwww.calculator.net/conversion-calculator.html
Sam usually uses either Collall all purpose glue, its the best glue as it sets fairly hard and doesnt make your paper buckle as theres no water in it,the other is Cosmic Shimmer Dries clear acrylic glue, its really good and grabs really quickly,i use both and theyre always reliable
Hi Sam, this is such a beautiful card :) can i ask what weight paper do you use for the base, as the one i used all cracked and it looked terrible :( Many thanks Jeana x
Hi Jeana, cracking won't be down to the weight necessary. I always recommend anything above 220 gsm which is what this was. What kind of stylus are you using?
@@MixedUpCraft Hi Sam, thank you for the reply i appreciate it. i am using the stylus that came with the adorable scoreboard, the one that you use yourself x
Yes...love love love this card.....making it now....used a magnet to close instead of belly band.....have some cool butterflies too

I made the card blank in white, and added black for the layers, so it kind of gives off a tuxedo look to it.. and also very lovely card ❤🥰

Hi Rachael, I get mine from my local independent store. I also still have a lot of Tonic Studio 12 x 12 when they used to sell it. x

Just a quick question, what strong glue do you use, the glue l have doesn’t work well with acetate...thanks in advance 👍
