This is one of those awesome songs that can't be categorized. It broke at alternative, then went pop/rock and now it's hitting the adult music charts. It's been on alt rock chart for almost a year(as of 10/27/18) and is still top 10. You can't beat that. These guys are living the dream.

This song feels like the opposite of a party song. Party songs are about having fun with friends or getting fucked up. This feels more like being lonely at a party you were somehow invited to. I mean, it's literally in the video and lyrics. Party songs usually give you a sense of hyperness and joy while this feel not sad but more calm and.... I wouldn't say somber but somehow that word is all that came to mind. This song gives me such a nostalgic feeling I shouldn't feel because I've never experienced it. The word for that is Anemoia. I walked the premises of a place and would sing along and enjoy the position of the moon as the night progressed, there is comfort in this song, I love this song. This song feels like the opposite of a party song. Party songs are about having fun with friends or getting fucked up. This feels more like being lonely at a party you were somehow invited to. I mean, it's literally in the video and lyrics.
