I will *never* understand how they were able to find someone that looks just like the original Marcia. 🙌🏽
The acting was so spot on as well. Its kinda creepy how perfect that casting was.
That’s because both these ”Marcias” are a mix of irish and german orgin. Perhaps production requested this specific ethnic mix during casting search.
You might not of seen Nickelodeon's Hey Dude back in the late 80's early 90's. First time I saw Christina Taylor I could see that she was definitely a Maureen McCormick look alike, even though she didn't have Maureen's character. At the time I always thought if they ever did a movie on the life of Maureen she would be the perfect actress to play her. Then the Brady Bunch Movie came out and I realized what a talented actress she is. She got Marsha down perfect. Even Maureen McCormick was spooked by it.
Her comedic timing in this movie was so great.
Maureen McCormick said in an interview that when she saw the premiere of this, she forgot at times that she was NOT watching herself as Marcia. She also joked beforehand that the actress playing Marcia, “looked nothing like Marcia at all!” Maureen loved the movie. ❤
I think she plays Marcia better than the real Marcia. It's scary how perfect she looks and talks just like Marcia. The greatest impersonation in history by far
This movie came out in 1995, the original show was set between 1969 and 1974, so that's 26 years, and we're now in 2024 (2024-1995=29), that means this movie is closer to the original show's run than we are to the movie.
“Cut my hair!” Always a classic.
I fear that if they made this today, they'd have a back story or gimmick showing why the Bradys act like they're living in the seventies even though it's 2023. That it's never explained at all in the 1995-96 movies is so much funnier.
That’s part of the genius of it. It’s crazy how different 20 years were from the 70s - 90s then compared to 20 years ago today. 2004 isn’t that much different from today besides smartphones.
Rewatching this as an adult is hilarious and getting all of the jokes 😂
That’s where I’m at right now lol. Use to watch this movie constantly when I was in elementary school, and I’ve totally forgotten about it. So much funnier watching it now in my 30’s lol
Doug: it's not your nose I'm after
Marcia: 😄
it wouldve been funny if later on, he opened his locker in front of her n there was photos of lots of different noses....n she called him a liar n ran off
“I can never show my face in skweel again.”
In the Brady Reunion interviews with Jenny McCarthy, Maureen McCormick said that was completely blown away and amazed by how much this actress looked, acted and sounded like her.
0:41 the way she just says 'hi everybody' to an intimidating bunch of strangers like they're her little fans 🤣
@@moyo6606 I feel this energy all the time just the male version think James Dean
I don't go to the bar often and am friendly and affable when I do, though there are so many people there mean-mugging. Same energy.
Jan and Marcia carried the film 😂
The boys could not stand a chance to them. Their are scenes are the best
I love that Marcia graciously compliments the Guess model before auditions. It further implies that when she negs Jan, it's because Jan deserves it.
@@michaelscott3174 Well, it's because Marsha *thinks* Jan deserves it, at least.
Spot on Mr. Logan Gantner. And yes Mr. Michael Scott, he’s right. If Jan was as gracious and honest as Marsha, instead of jealous and resentful, then maybe she her beauty would shine and she would be happier, instead of the miserable and envious sister she is. Jan never humbles herself and speaks to Marsha with praise the way Marsha spoke to the model right there.
This actress was born to be Marcia.
2:15 But Jan you don't have any friends she gave her a murder one look 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
A Very Brady Halloween: It's Halloween night and Jan goes on a killing spree after one too many of Marcia's mean-spirited remarks.
I will *never* forget when I saw this as a young kid. I was really into the movie and had a crush on Jan. When Marcia called Jan out, my 6-year-old immediate response was "YES WE DO!!" at the top of my lungs. I was so, SO, *SO* embarrassed. Now, I come back to this scene and laugh at it twice per year. This is ironically my favorite comedy. LoL
One of the best parody movies ever.
Her slapping the English photographers's face lol. CUT MY HAIR?
“You’re the prettiest girl in the entire school”….. “I know” 😂😂😂
Christine really nailed that 70s California girl accent haha. I have relatives who still talk like that.
Marcia: Doug! I think I just felt your tongue in my mouth!
Doug: It's called a french kiss, Marcia.
Marcia: I thought you were from Nebraska!
😂😂😂😂😂
This will always be one of my favorite movies and I'm appalled there aren't more views on this
I’m watching this on HBO max right now, I absolutely love this movie, all the characters are spot on especially Marcia
I always thought it was crazy how she looks JUST like Marsha.
3:10 LOL...I forgot about the part where Greg was following the girl around, singing to her and she was trying her best to get away from him. 🛑😂
This movie really captured the styles in the 90s. Like at 2:39 the kid walking behind Marcia wearing with combat boots with shorts
Shelley long as the mom was an exceptional and magical match.
Yep, and Gary Cole (Mike) is one of these actors who always makes every movie he's in that much better.
Marcia seemed so perfect.
**looks at planner**
1. Tell Charlie
2. Earn $20,000
3. Get Davy Jones
4. Brush Hair
**brushes hair**
Absolutely the spitting image of Marcia in the original well done
While the child actress who plays "Thindy" looks nothing like her.
It would've been better if they got Heather Karasek (Jade from The Little Rascals '94) for the role.
I love how Jan was loving it in the back
Bro if she lost 30lbs she would need to be hospitalized
Such an underrated movie
She'd be the perfect Barbie
I love the realism going on around them that they're completely oblivious to
i love how rotted they made marcia in the movie UGH she ate that shit up
4:42 the fact it was cutting her hair that went too far for her 😂😂
“We might as well rob a bank” Jan became an arsonist after she left her family.
Christine Taylor looks really pretty as marcia, she was 23 when this was made but she looks 17-18, such beautiful hair though
"SKEWL"
This movie is a classic! 👌🏽 Still holds up!
The guy plays Greg voices Spider-Man in the animated series
Im pretty sure growing up i had never watched the original brady bunch and i believed this to be the authentic thing untill today and im dead😂 marcha was abiatch
Great casting throughout and the music is totally authentic.
The family that's so nice that the locals can't stand them, really good comedy. what a way to peeve off haters LOL
It’s not your nose I’m after. 🤣
People were way more intelligent in the 90s. There’s no way young people today could be this comedic.
Holy snap this looks like it came right the 60s
Marcia Marcia Marcia brought me here
I like marcias voice
Movie critics never watched these Brady movies a little tipsy. It's some of the funniest movies ever made.
I used to love marcia😂😂😂😂
I thought that voice was familiar! Greg is the voice of Spider-man from the 90's cartoon. And Noreen was one of Beakman's lab assistants
Brilliant comedy, perfect cast
MARCIA IS SOOO" SCARY" BEAUTIFUL. ❤😂🎉
For a very long time I thought this was the OG cast
Love thr girl who played Jan
OMG I didn't remember that Alanna Ubach was in this film. Love her .❤
Watching this after listening to the podcast "Hey Dude the 90s Called" Brady reunion episode.
Jan was so good too
The nose 👃 incident always gets me 😂😂😂😂
Skül
She's relentless vs Jan 🤣
5:00 I have only just noticed the way she says school 😂 She sounds like Eric Cartman
Everybody out this is a carjack. Well of course this is a car but my names not Jack, it’s Greg! Haha! Makes me laugh every time!!
I thought she said skewl more times. I was searching for that.
The casting for these movies were spot on! Highlights were of course Marsha, Mike, Cindy, Carol, Alice and even Jan.
Poor Jan. "Am I invisible?!"
Noreen had the most beautiful smile
I love Marcia's soft aggression 🤨
What about shelly long , she is spot on . Well all the actors are . The movie is hilarious.
Gary Cole *always* gives a good performance even when the movie isn't very good. Shortly after this he'd be the villain in Sam Raimi's "A Simple Plan" and - in probably his most iconic role - Lumbergh in "Office Space."
"Nooo it's better 🤧"
"I thought you were from Nebraska."
Marsha brady vibes, special memories ☺️☺️
They give off such asmr
Sure Jan
Schoolhouse Rock (when ABC Video had home media rights in c. 1994-1995) brought me here.
CREDITS:
TM & © Paramount (1995)
Cast:
Director: Betty Thomas
Producer: David Kirkpatrick, Sherwood Schwartz, Lloyd J. Schwartz
Screenwriter: Laurice Elehwany, Rick Copp, Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner
Omg the angry waitress from “Waiting”! Also I’ve never seen this, I didn’t realize the movie took place in the 90s lol
Marsha Marsha Marsha!
They were straight up jerks to Jan
Dang Hacksaw Duggan really taking Marcia to task there.
It's not your nose I'm after
All the dislikes on this video are from Jan.
2:16 was really funny
Tell me why all these years I thought the show and the movie were the same people and I just saw the movie came out in the 90s
I swear whoever filmed these was the same person who made the instructional videos in the 2000s scooby doo movies lmfla
Jan you don’t have any friends 😅🤣
A great Marcia casting, the Jan casting was a million miles off
Marcia fernandez
2 boys at once
The legacy of Marcia is Paige michalchuk
Maureen well if you're into that kind of thing hahaha
One of the most underrated impersonation performances ever. She absolutely embodied Marcia.
That whole movie had a ton of great impressions. 😄 Gary Cole as the dad, Shelly Long as the mom, and Henriette Montel as Alice, all awesome!
So that's not the real Marcia?
@@cartergomez5390 That's Christine Taylor, a really solid comedic actress. She's also married to Ben Stiller.
@@Bodyknock the casting is so uncanny though!
SO brilliant, eh? I honestly believe that Christine Taylor as Marcia, Jennifer Elise Cox as Jan and Regina Hall as Brenda in Scary Movie all deserved Oscar nominations for their work. I don't care if the films are considered lowbrow, those performances are brilliant.
