one more question, I want to cut straight cuts, so I need the widest possible strip, from this page it's the one for 23.99, it has up to 12 mm, but only 4 teeth per inch, will the cut be nice? www.stavbaeu.sk/index.php?filter_name=p%C3%ADlov%C3%BD+p%C3%A1s+scheppach+1490mm&filter_category_id=0&route=product%2Fsearch or which of those strips would you recommend for a straight cut? well thank you
Very interesting to see how much improvement this bandsaw needed - but if I bought the same model, where could I turn to achieve the same level of improvement, and at what cost?
Hi Tony! The bandsaw is ready to use from factory. It's a bit shaky but depends a lot how the wheels are in balance. Could be straight out of factory. Mine was a bit off. I bet a Record bandsaw is made better but is a bit more expensive.
Have the Basa3 but,it doesn't come supplied with a power cable and scheppach don't have one as a spare, also every time the blade guard is adjusted ALL the bearings have to be reset!
hello how loud is your saw? I have a brand new one and the noise varies from 74db to 82db without cutting. what causes that noise to change? unbalanced wheels or bad band adjustment?
Hi Tomas! I think the noise is coming from the blade adjusters because they are not moving with the blade. Rolling type of blade supports would be better. You can try without the blade supports does it make any difference. But don't saw anything when they are off. You can also try without blade so you know is the noise coming from the motor👍
@@thandles_workshop I tried it without a guide system, the noise was reduced to a stable 80db and if I held the table due to vibration, it was reduced to a stable 75db, great .. one more question, it is possible to replace the guide on the scheppach basa 1 and put a bearing line instead ? thanks for the reply..
@@tomas_tkd8806 I'm not sure is there a roller guide system to buy from store. I've been planning to do one. A piece of aluminum, small roller bearings with right diameter bolts and it should be pretty easy to do. You know you can cut aluminum with the bandsaw👍 I'm pretty sure there's a diy video about the guide in youtube.
Loved the idea of adding the light to it. Well worth doing.
You are amazing, i have the same band saw and used it for ages, thinking about how to recondition it now.
What you have to re engineer parts to get it working?
nice funny and helpful video style mate! guess u will have more folllowers soon. thx for the tipps!
Thanks Dorian👍
Hi excellent video, where did you get the flexible lamp from please?
It's from Ikea😆

@@thandles_workshop I had one and the guide rail wasn't great so it went back! I did manage to get it give a straight cut though!
Nice upgrade for the Machine...hope not that mine Bandsaw wheel have the same problem.

These things have a lot of improvements to do. Cheap things usually do😅
Bravo👏👏👏
What kind of rubber rings did you use on the aluminum pulleys?
I re-used the original ones.
@@thandles_workshop thanks👍🏻
Another question if i can: do you think this little bandsaw can be used to cut aluminum sheet 2/3 mm thick?
@@raulduke85 Yes with a fine blade it cuts aluminium like butter👍 Use some wd-40 as a lubricant and a vacuum to remove the chips when cutting.
@@thandles_workshop thanks man i think i'm going for it then👍🏻

No! Not too much cakes. Just unevenly ditributed.
Yes! that's the reason, and the gopro makes stuff look round ;) Thanks for stopping by Bjorn-Olof!
Shouldn't need to rebuild a new item.
Like everybody is gonna do these modifications and got the equipment?!🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Well of course😆 It's a great feeling to buy a 5000$ lathe to fix a 200$ bandsaw👍
