I picked up one of these in the Black Friday sales for just over £40 and wasn't sure what to expect. I've attached an 8GB Pi 4 to the back, and it's worked pretty flawlessly for everything I've tried it with, including standard Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm, Twister OS, Ubuntu 23.10, and the one I've settled on (for running mainly as a Home Assistant console) is Android 14. It should have come with an adapter for routing the USB-C power downward (I picked one up for £3), but otherwise, it was well worth the money.
Great review :) I was wondering, do you know if it is possible to remove the splash screen of the wimaxit easily or even at all? Kind of like you can remove the splash screen of the raspberry pi through config files.
Not that I know of, it will use a common 'off the self' firmware so depending on what that is, it might be possible to reflash the base system on the display removing the boot logo... if its worth it is another question all-together !
