Pure facts Goodz... I lost my mom's in 2018 and it made me spiral out of control back to doing street shit. Losing your mom is more traumatizing than any shit you can go thru in the streets. I didn't think about getting any professional help when I was living a street life, but when I lost mom's it drove me to seek some help, so I definitely salute Mook. That shit is hard!

Goodz, mental health is Real! Death effects different people different ways. For Mook to "advertise" to us that he "struggled" and understand that other battle rappers is going to use these words as angles in his battles, is very commendable. Reminder, some people NEVER recover mentally f/the death of a loved one. One of the most profound things Mook said was, "I had to get back to the identity of John and not Mook".
I Respect that he put that mental health in to the light because its Real loosing your mom and it hit different, because he taking accountability of his actions 💯

First, respect to Mook for being a man and taking responsibility and being honest about himself publicly! Salute to him for that because that’s hard. However in the world of battle rap, Goodz y’all say it all the time “it’s battle rap not real life.” From it’s essence: Melly Mel, KRS 1, and many others made their career off saying crazy and personal stuff about other people often times pulling up on they block to say it to they face in a battle. It is what it is! If it’s too painful for you then either put it in the contract or don’t battle. Simple as that.

So I don’t condone it, but I understand it. if that’s something you can’t handle, then may be battle. Rap ain’t for you.

What did Mook do to them? And you have to understand battle rap is not real life. It’s entertainment at the end of the day. They probably not even friends in real life

Can y’all stop with the “Mom” excuses!! Mook was like that wayyyyyyyyyyy before his mom passed! Respectfully!! Glad he got help although a 28 day program don’t mean shit if he not attending outpatient programs!
No disrespect to Mook, but he had his chance to really profit from rapping already. If you want to battle rap, you gotta work with the situation battle rap is in.
You Have An Amazing Take On This @goodz ..I Value your opinion a little more because of always seen you kinda rock with mook and you pull no punches , however mooks finical literacy is trash ..you cant be the highest paid battler rapper for years and be staying in a place like that.. and i mean that respectfully as possible ..like if I get 40k/80k etc ..like come on man..Then talk big money ish on stage ..and again I say that respectfully as possible..And this isnt me judging but to have nothing to show from the type of career..??? #ijs
In a place like what though? If you live in NYC you live in an apartment and the only thing clear from the IG video is that Mook has way too many clothes. He could probably get a nice spacious 2 bedroom apartment across the river in NJ for whatever he is paying now.
Bro you absolutely right..... I feel as being a battle rapper,if you trying to have a angle by talking about someone Dead mother l feel that you are a clown that won't get no respect from a real one... Real rap, Don't do that!!
He felt in danger.. 🛑 it..he was a drunk mess.. actin tuff and all.. I think Mook got pressed behind bars.. and he was Shook as 💩.. now outta nowhere he Humble 🥧
This is what’s wrong with battle rap all you pre madonnas telling battle leagues what can’t be spoken about but you get paid the highest that shows you have no versatility and this is why battle rap is dead y’all ran it in the ground ya wanna talk about everything and everybody else situation but safeguard what can hurt ya in a battle it’s lame and wack now for all that don’t battle until your head is right
Disagree, Goodz. I don't think the interview reflects a man grieving as much as it reflects someone doing damage control. Not sure if it was Mook who wanted to talk about his arrest on IG live or if it was Uncle Rah, but I don't think the community is asking for an explanation. Mook's name is in the news because Hitman went public about a negotiation that fell through. Mook should have just skipped over any personal issues he's dealing with because that's none of our business. We just want to know if he's ducking Hitman or not.
@THETRAVELGOD410 that's cool and all but what that gotta do wit the battle nobody care about his mental health....the question is do u wanna battle or not...he said yea to RBE but no to Hitman...so was he just giving the run around? He battled twice after his mom died so it's not like he retired
Why say this now? He had no other opportunity to let us know he was struggling BEFORE so we could pray for him and him family this past year? Still prayers up becuz losing ANY parent (from a Daddys girl who lost her Dad) is hard, but in IMHO, i think he had to do this to get the sympathy and explain his erratic behavior. Just my opinion tho🙏🏿💯
Respectfully I disagree with you that he’s doing this just to get sympathy or getting clout. When you are going through trauma and spiraling in the moment, it’s hard to express what you are going through cause you yourself are trying to figure out what’s going on with you and how to deal with it. Especially when you don’t know How to deal with it. That is what therapy is for. The erratic behavior and drinking was alll just a coping defense mechanism to deal with his situation. Them waters Ran deep with Mook. This interview will also helped those out there and show fans that battle rap artists are Human at the end of the day.
That interview was garbage. Mook is full of shit too and Unkle Rah wasnt supposed to throw no sympathy party SMFH A whole bunch of absolutely nothing was said in that interview
Bro we are all human…The thing with battle rappers is they make it seem like shit can’t happen and don’t to them until it happens and they’re humiliated about it which should be.act like you human have some humility and people will respect you and have sympathy and empathy for you…Charlie clips a perfect example of a great battle of a battle rapper with humility nobody come at him crazy disrespect him on a regular because of how he carry his self

Apologies It goes hand in hand when dealing with recovery and those who were affected! I feel he didn’t have a reason to make his process public!
@THETRAVELGOD410 that's cool and all but what that gotta do wit the battle nobody care about his mental health....the question is do u wanna battle or not...he said yea to RBE but no to Hitman...so was he just giving the run around? He battled twice after his mom died so it's not like he retired
I can tell yall hate yall mothers smh and of course it’s the same type of ppl
2 things can be true at the same time and i think that applies here
What!
🫡 💯
If moms past leave her out cuh I might off u
We don’t care how you feel about him to be honest
You here though..
Yet you here
This man look been drinking way before his momma passed he should checked into rehab than
Day 2 of commenting on Goodz videos until he send me a pair of Slick-Walks
They not that expensive 😂
That interview was garbage. Mook is full of shit too and Unkle Rah wasnt supposed to throw no sympathy party SMFH A whole bunch of absolutely nothing was said in that interview
You sound stupid
I'm not a mook fan at all, but I gotta respect him admitting he has a problem.
What was trash about what he said?
Savage 💀 lol
It’s always one
You a goofy bro
Bro we are all human…The thing with battle rappers is they make it seem like shit can’t happen and don’t to them until it happens and they’re humiliated about it which should be.act like you human have some humility and people will respect you and have sympathy and empathy for you…Charlie clips a perfect example of a great battle of a battle rapper with humility nobody come at him crazy disrespect him on a regular because of how he carry his self
Mook might be top 2 worst dressed battle rapper 😂
U buggin.. tayroc, JC, stumbles, ill will, clips all be lookin way worse than mook
You’re a blk man right?😴🥱😒
Now when y’all see the 2nd part of the interview yall gon feel different. It’s sad. We all human and we want to care and empathize.
