Moni Wespi condivide un work in progress del suo nuovo progetto Slowed Landscapes, che esplora il potere della lentezza e della mimetizzazione. Nella velocità sempre crescente della nostra vita quotidiana, pone gli astanti di fronte all’effetto del rallentamento nello spazio pubblico. Colloca l’essere umano in una posizione meno dominante rispetto all’ambiente e si interroga sulla gerarchia che si è imposta nei secoli. Il corpo umano si fonde con l'ambiente grazie al lavoro visivo dell’artista su stampe tessili. Slowed Landscapes è un Moving Portrait performato dal vivo in una sorta di meditazione artistica o muto appello alla consapevolezza.
Moni Wespi (CH/BE) è una coreografa, artista visiva e designer che risiede fra Svizzera e Belgio. Si interroga su movimento e identità attraverso un approccio multidisciplinare e scelte scenografiche radicali. Nel 2007 ha fondato la Compagnia Loutop, con cui ha ottenuto il premio Grant di Zurigo 2010. Nel 2011 è entrata a far parte di Asphalt Piloten, un collettivo artistico aperto e focalizzato sullo spazio pubblico, vincitore di numerosi premi.
ZONA K è una realtà innovativa e ibrida dedicata allo scambio tra discipline artistiche e culturali; dal 2013 ospita azioni di teatro, danza, cinema e musica. Si afferma nel panorama culturale per la programmazione rigorosa e aperta all’avanguardia europea. Invita artisti che guardano al presente, abitano l’urbano e s’interrogano su nuove forme di fruizione artistica. Attiva relazioni con la città, formazione, ricerca artistica interculturale, residenze per artisti, produzioni e coproduzioni con artisti internazionali. Nel corso degli anni ha avviato collaborazioni con numerose organizzazioni, dalle strutture indipendenti a quelle più istituzionali, a livello cittadino e internazionale.

Moni Wespi is sharing a work in progress of her new project Slowed Landscapes, that investigates the power of slowness and camouflage. In the ever-increasing speed of our daily lives, the work confronts the passer-by with the effect of slowing down in public space, placing the human in a less dominant position to the environment and questioning the hierarchy that has been imposed over centuries. The human body is merged in its environment thanks to the artist’s work of textile printing. Slowed Landscapes is a live Moving Portrait and shall be conceived as a sort of artistic meditation or silent call for awareness.
Moni Wespi (CH/BE) is a choreographer, visual artist, and designer based in Switzerland and Belgium. She questions movement and identity through a multidisciplinary approach and radical scenographic choices. In 2007 she founded the Loutop Company with which she was awarded with the Grant award of Zürich 2010. In 2011 she joined Asphalt Piloten, an open artistic cell and award-winning collective focused on public space.
ZONA K is an innovative, hybrid group that explores the exchanges between artistic and cultural disciplines. Since 2013 it has put on theatre, dance, cinema, and musical performances, establishing itself on the cultural scene for its rigorous programming and its openness to the European avant-garde. ZONA K collaborates with artists who look at the present, inhabit the urban area and think up new ways of experiencing art, activating relations with the city as well as educational trainings, intercultural artistic research, artistic residencies, and productions and co-productions with international artists. Over the years, the group has worked with numerous organizations, from independent associations to more institutional ones, both at a city and international level.
