The first thing I always do is look for road/highway signage or for any semi-trucks with phone numbers or website addresses somewhere on them. That at least helps you narrow down to a country. If I know I'm in the US then looking at the license plates on cars if there are any around. The plates themselves are blurred but the color of the plates can possibly narrow the state down. Churches and schools are good too, a lot of churches are named "Whatever Denomination of City/Town". Schools might be named "City/Town Elementary/High School" or have busses with the name of the town in the bus lanes.
There was one very rare time that it dropped me less than a mile from my house.
I love the videos where she travells to different places, like the home tours and geoguesser

I always like how long history actually is. Video games can really help people understand that. It's really fun playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey and walking around the Mycenean and Minoan ruins which even at the time of the Peloponesian war were centuries old.

I have been watiing for this part 2 for so long.
If you wanna try something where it doesn't time it try cityguesser it's basically a bootleg version of geoguessr but the screen moves automatically,thankfully you can go back 5 or 3 seconds,maybe you should try it!
I love city guesser so much. Started playing it during my senior year at high school cause geo went to pay to play rip. Anyways my hometown is on city guesser and I’ve gotten it exact multiple times lol. Always proud 😂.
