Not too long ago I read a fun little article on eyebrow trends over the decades. I cringed so hard when I saw the 1990s barely there eyebrow on the list. Unfortunately I am one of the victims! Not to mention how bad every photo looks from that span of time. There are women out there who were able to avoid this?! Man I wish I was one of those lucky souls. My brows will never be the same.
I just discovered your videos as I am stressing out as I do every year two days before black Friday, when I can actually get make up for a reasonable price…that’s if it doesn’t sell out. 😢
Im am so grateful to find this!! Im struggling with the years showing up on my face and needed a pick me up. I am taking notes! Thanks for these great videos. I appreciate you. ❤ You look so youthful and amazing!! Thank you so much!

You do a great job on your brows and to me they look even and not to thick looking. Looking great as always.❤️💚💙😻Julie

( like my no match brows,) LOL. The masterclass tutorials have improved my skin beyond belief. I’ve gone from negligence to an easy skin care regimen. I’m no longer overwhelmed by products. I’ve loved all your recommended products, which has saved me from expensive not necessary products . I’m thrilled with my skincare and make up results. THANKKKKKK YOUUUUUU! My eyebrows are, BY FAR, the biggest issue I struggle with, even above skin related issues! The decade of thin brows, ('95 to '05 for me) did irreparable damage and I've been on the struggle bus since! The 2 biggest pieces of beauty advice I drilled into my daughters' heads: ALWAYS wear sunscreen, and don't go with eyebrow trends, always work with your natural shape & thickness and NEVER EVER OVERPLUCK!! I'm taking this advice, as of today, and HOPEFULLY not struggling as much!!! Couldnt sub up fast enough, btw! Again, thank you.

Awww poor left brow! I think the left brow is beautiful and your body WILL react to what you say and believe. Takes time but if you started to sincerely LOVE that side, I’ll bet you’d see a difference in a short time. Not saying it needs to “heal” but maybe it does? Works for my scars, my facial features I did not used to love… maybe it’s just that I started to look at things differently. Wayne Dyer used to say that if we change the way we look at things, things we look at change.
Thank you for an excellent tutorial!

I was definitely one of those people who watched that earlier video and thought “OK, I never do a straight line. This is interesting”. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’ve also learned that I should embrace the shorter tails of the brow to add lift. My eyebrows are like yours. They are definitely not the same, but I just try to make each one look the best it can on any given day. Thanks again for this great video!

I was fourteen in 2000 when I decided to let my best friend pluck my already pencil-thin brows, and wouldn't you know it, she overplucked! So I was left with nothing. And I mean, nothing. I had no choice but to draw them on from that moment on, because unfortunately they've never fully grown back. They're extremely sparse and lack any density.
It was fine during the time when thin brows were on trend, but the past 15~ years it's been thick and full brows. Which has been difficult for me.
It's my biggest insecurity -- has been for 22 years.
I've tried every brow product and brand one could think of, and Ive tried serums... All to no avail.
While I've mastered the craft over the course of two decades, there's some products that I find simply do not work for me. Things like pomades and powders do little to provide a 'natural' brow since I'm essentially applying to skin, rather than hairs, and because I've always had an oily t-zone, which made such products sure to smudge and extremely difficult to create "hair-like strokes".
Thankfully with an upgraded skincare regimen, I've managed to reverse that oily issue, but I've spent 2/3 of my life using pencils so that's what I've become most comfortable with.
Either way, it would be nice if I didn't have to worry about brows any longer.... It's taken up so much of my energy.
I appreciate this video, for those of us who care about brows but might not have the perfect canvas to work with.
I just found your channel last night, but I'm enjoying you, already.
Though I'm a few years off from being considered 'mature', I find a lot of the information helpful and applicable to my situation.... And it sure beats watching these teeny-bops with flawless skin make content as though everyone has the same face canvas.

you for introducing me to this product. I also received my Seint and Demi yesterday so I can't wait to start to play
with everything this weekend but I cannot say it's going to take a lot to beat that wet n wild tinted hydrator! Thank you

Hi Michelle! :) I've heard you say in previous videos that you gave up on Retinol. I too was in the same boat. I was SO close to giving up for the same reason as you! I could NOT wear makeup without it looking AWFUL! I use Double Wear foundation which has always been and always be my ride or die. All of a sudden around week 2-3 I could no longer wear it without flakey patchy dryness. I even tried thick face creams to no evail. Around the 8 week mark, one day my dryness miraculously disappeared!!! After hearing (from a dermatologist) that it should go away between 2-3 weeks I was so disappointed. Just goes to show, everyone's skin is different. Truer words never spoken ;) Additionally, I began using *Heritage Store* on a cotton round (after cleansing with Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser). I am unsure if it helps aid in deeper penetration of my retinol, but I 100% noticed less sensitivity after using this face mist before applying my nightly retinol. You may want to give that a try.

FYI- I’m 60 and have brows very similar to yours. Last year I got powder brows and it changed my life. You choose powder brows if you have oily skin with larger pores or light (blonde) brows. Oily skin does not hold micro blading very well, and micro blading is hard to do on lighter brows. Since you have dry skin you’d probably be a great candidate for a combo. I still have to use a bit of pencil when I do my makeup because you always get a bit of foundation in your brows. But it takes me about 2 seconds. Love them and wish I had done it a long time ago. But you’re right .., go to a specialist. It cost me $450. Worth every penny.

Your brows still look great for those of us who survived the 90's and the over-plucked brow trend. Thankfully I didn't fall prey to that trend. I've never plucked mine to thin them but only to remove a couple strays; however I have slightly trimmed them thru the years bc that doesn't damage them & they grow back. At close to 60 I still have a lot of brow hair with only the outer ends beginning to thin with age. I tell my 22 year old daughter "Don't pluck your brows or you're going to regret it one day!" 🥴

In fact you can't even see them unless you look up close. : ( I have tried to wear false eyelashes but the glue burns my eyelids. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can make my eyes look like I have lashes? My eyes are hooded to add to things and I am 57 and lets just say the hoods are sinking. : ( Any help would be REALLY APPRECIATED.

@@maturemakeupmasterclass sadly yes, nothing seem to happen. My doctor told me that I could try Latisse but warned me of side effects. I don’t want mess with my eyes. I have tried just using black eyeliner on my water line but not sure if that looks weird?? Ugh!

Great instructional. My brows are sisters not twins for sure and similar to yours my right brow and upper lid has drooped with age making my ‘sisters’ more like ‘step-sisters’. 😂

This is an amazing tutorial! ...
Dearest Michelle, as well as anyone else that reads this comment.
I know you said you don't believe in clean beauty anymore, and that is probably becuase even many so called "clean" brands 'cleanwash' their products - meaning they are not truly "clean" but have omitted some of the gravest offender ingredients.
I want you all to consider that everything that we put on our skin gets absorbed and ends up in our liver to be cleansed!!!
EVERYONE should watch the documentary "Toxic Beauty". Yes we want to look good - but I am not willing to put my health on the line for it. Cancer, dementia, alzheimers, hormone disorders, chronic diseases ... I mean the list goes on and on!! And many times people don't know why they are sick, not realizing the amount of poison that goes into the body from skincare and beauty products! ...
Please read, please research ... please be informed about what goes on to our biggest organ.
Thank you for all your relatable and educational content. I love your authentic delivery. But I feel a duty to always share knowledge about the dangers of our quest to 'just look good' when it can come at a grave cost. .... Blessings

Mine were beautiful once upon a time! Then yep I over plucked and did NOT have a clue about what I was doing & for too many years I'm embarrassed to say I sported the McDonald arches right on my face 😂 🙄
