I love your empathetic training methods and have recommended you to a wonderful young woman who starts young horses on their future racing careers at the yard where I have my lovely boy. A few weeks ago we witnessed her taking a young filly along to the round pen where she was to be lunged. The filly thought ‘oh no not that again’ and stopped and dodged behind the barn. Sammy simply waited for her decide to move which she did. Thinking time is so important for horses. In fact all the all female staff are gentle and kind with the horses. Every stable has a bag of carrots by their loose boxes. The horses are happy and relaxed and like interacting with people, not just for horse treats.

I love that story. There are some lovely trainers out there sadly its the high pressure dramatic ones that get most of the views

Thank you for your comments. I’m really hoping. My videos might help people see we don’t always have to be tough on our horses to get results 💕

This such a fresh view. What i really like is the way you are saying you are trying to find out why he is bucking rather than just telling him off

I am so glad I found this channel, you're promoting an incredible message, and you're a real ro,e model for how we should treat our horse!!!
I was just wondering, it looks a little like he has quite a pelvic hike and drop on his left Hindlimb, do you know if he has any previous injuries? It also seems thats the side he's bucking out on? Maybe he's a little stiff in the glutes.?

Really good point. It’s so difficult to say absolutely everything in a short time. Before he came to me they had done pretty well every test under the sun. MRI Scanning his legs. Scoping.physio Etc but I agree his step is not 100% right. I think there was something deep seated and with the long rest it must have helped him heal

@@myyounghorses yes absolutely! It's so good that he felt resolved after a long rest though!

Really interesting and informative video. One thing additional you might like to think about is getting a shiatsu practitioner out to evaluate him, they can get to the bottom of a lot of horse pain issues which vets are unable to and will work with the vet as it’s a complimentary therapy. I’ve had some great results with two of my horses in this respect. But it’s great he is ok now he has had a year off, love your methods

Really interesting. He had seen a great Bowen lady. I've never heard of shiatsu for horses. I like anything that helps the horse get better as a whole rater than just looking at one specific problem so it would probably align with my ethos. 💕

It looks like the saddle was causing a lot of discomfort. There may be an issue in his spine, I've known horses that have to get chiropractic adjustments due to their natural body mechanics in order to stay comfortable under saddle.
