Florida was better than Alabam that year. Sure, Alabama beat us. But, Percy Harvin was gone as well as Dan Mullen. Put those two back on the team and Florida would have won the National Championship this year. Steve Addazio couldn't call plays to save his life.

David Cole Alabama was the 3rd best team. Florida was the best. Percy Harvin and Mullen are in the SEC Chamoinship Florida wins. Texas was the 2nd best. If McCoy didn’t get hurt Texas wins. It was 24-21 in the natty with 5 minutes left and GARRET GILBERT WAS QUARTERBACK. ‘09 Bama is the most overrated team ever. Benefited hugely off injuries to their success.

I always think it's amusing when these teams like Cincinatti can think just because they are undefeated that suddenly they are on par with the SEC. Almost every time this happens, the G5 undefeated team suffers a humiliating smackdown at the hands of a SEC or Big 10 team.

Reading all the comments.... When Tebow was in the NFL, the NFL made a big push to get rid of all the John 3:16 signs at the end zones. Remember every game had John 3:16 sings? Guess who also uncompromisingly wore John 3:16? Tim Tebow! He was black balled for sure! People can argue this and that stat, but it was clear the NFL did not want him in the league.
Now looking back a few years you can see clearly how the NFL went Woke, with the politically correct crowd. There are so many examples of this politically correctness in the last few years. Tim was merely one of the first victims of this wokeness and politically correctness before a lot of people really realized what was going on.

Can't believe our Gators lost to Alabama that year in the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Alabama set the tone early, I would say they got a jump start on our Gators. Mmmmmm u do realize this is in 2009 and Tebow no longer plays football anymore right?? He never really got a chance the one chance he did have he took advantage of it. The Denver Broncos started off that season as 1-5 with Tebow at backup QB. So when they started out 1-5 the coach was like well this shitty shitty team isnt gonna make the playoffs so let's put the young man in and the rest was history. In his first year of NFL play he took that same 1-5 to a 10-6 record(that means once he started they went 9-1) and made the playoffs and beat the heavily heavily favored Pittsburgh Steelers in his first year starting and then they played the New England Cheaters and lost, but like I said took a bad team at 1-5 and went 10-6 and won a playoff game in his first and only season getting a chance to start. He never got another chance after that, which was the dumbest shit I've ever seen. But whatever. I know one thing the man was a winner period, point, blank,!!

Everybody chirping in his ear about his mechanics ruined him. The guy was NOT a hopelessly inaccurate QB that he ended up becoming in the NFL. He set an NCAA or SEC record for passing efficiency for a career, ffs. He'd h ave been better off everybody keeping their god damned hands off of his delivery and just letting him be him. If he was as bad as he was put out to be, he wouldn't have had the career that he had at UF.
There's no way he would have been any worse than guys like Marcus Mariota, or Jameis Winston - Tebow wasn't a turnover machine like Winston. But, hey, they had 'better looking' deliveries and so got the chance for years and years despite years and years of MEDIOCRITY - at best.

Tim Tebow scored 34 times in 549 touches in his first 15.5 games and 13 plays in the NFL.
In 2017, this would rank 2nd in the NFL for total scores by a quarterback.
In 2010/2011, Tim Tebow scored 34 times in 549 touches (passing or rushing) in his first 15.5 games and 13 plays.
In 2010, Peyton Manning scored 33 times in 697 touches.
Tebow was 21% more efficient at scoring than Manning. He was already better than Manning
Manning didn't earn the job in Denver, Tebow did.
Mannng didn’t score more times than Tebow until his 7th season in the NFL. Before 2011, only 2 of Manning's 13 seasons had more scores per touch than Tebow had in his first 16 games of playing time.
Tebow threw a TD every 16.4 attempts in 2010 and 19.6 attempts in his first 16 in 2010/2011
Orton threw a TD every 24.9 attempts in 2010 and 28 attempts in 2011.
Manning threw a TD every 20.5 attempts in 2010
Tebow also scored every 11.6 rushing attempts, ran for 937 yards and 46 rushing first downs.
19 TDs passing and 15 rushing scores. That's the same ratio he had in college with 88 passing and 57 rushing.
In 2012, Tim Tebow was the fastest scoring QB in their first 16 games of playing time since Dan Marino in 1984.
