Was this the best game of Tim Tebow's career?
Which performance would you like to see remembered next?
Harris Highlights when they won against Oklahoma in 09
Nick Chubb vs Louisville
Rg3 vs oklahoma
LeVeon Bell vs BoiseState 2012
Matt Leinart vs Oklahoma in the Championship I'm pretty sure his TD records still stand or Marcus Mariota vs the 2 year running undefeated Florida State team in the Rose Bowl game
The end of the absolute greatest era in the history of UF football.
ok
I was a student at UF in the mid-90's, and that was a pretty good time too. UF was beating teams by 50+ almost every game back then.
Spurrier turned Florida around during the '90s, no other coach came close! Spurrier had the task of rebuilding a team and did just that Urban was handed a ton of talent and left when the talent was over!
damnit's true
@@MrMadvoter1 Not true. Galen Hall left the cupboard full when he was fired. He was a great coach and a great recruiter. That's why Spurrier was able to have instant success his first season.
Even as an LSU fan , Tebow was always one of my favorite athletes.
As an FSU fan, this dude would haunt your dreams. Was so good.
It’s so crazy how everyone turned on Tim Tebow! He is an amazing person and people wish they were half the man he is!! I’ve been a Tebow fan from high school!
The 2008 Florida Gators are right up their with 2001 Miami as one of the best teams of all time.
2001 Miami had way more talent.
08 Gators would kill 01 Hurricanes. Hurricanes was beast too though.
@@channel-rc1gd Nope.
One of the greats.
A unique athlete (which ended up curtailing any NFL career, as the NFL does not treat uniqueness kindly)...and one of the greatest pure competitors in college sports history.
Tebow never quite made it in the pros...but since I'm a Ravens fan, I appreciate his humiliation of the Steelers in that one playoff game.
I remember that game. Head Coach at Cincinnati bailed on team to take Notre Dame Job. He knew Cincinnati was going to get a beat down. Florida was the 2nd Best Team in the Country that year. Behind Alabama.
Fuck Brian Kelly
Florida was better than Alabam that year. Sure, Alabama beat us. But, Percy Harvin was gone as well as Dan Mullen. Put those two back on the team and Florida would have won the National Championship this year. Steve Addazio couldn't call plays to save his life.
David Cole Alabama was the 3rd best team. Florida was the best. Percy Harvin and Mullen are in the SEC Chamoinship Florida wins. Texas was the 2nd best. If McCoy didn’t get hurt Texas wins. It was 24-21 in the natty with 5 minutes left and GARRET GILBERT WAS QUARTERBACK. ‘09 Bama is the most overrated team ever. Benefited hugely off injuries to their success.
I always think it's amusing when these teams like Cincinatti can think just because they are undefeated that suddenly they are on par with the SEC. Almost every time this happens, the G5 undefeated team suffers a humiliating smackdown at the hands of a SEC or Big 10 team.
They knocked McCoy out it’s not like he didn’t play so that success from injury shit don’t apply here. Bama was head and shoulders better than that shitty little Texas team
Tim tebow the left handed Heisman winner
Love this guy!! Amazing football player with an exceptional character, unashamed of his Faith in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen Brother!
Jesus would tell him, hey put faith in my Father. There's more to this life than this world. Sanctify Yahweh, not popularize Jesus. #JAKEROJAS
Dude exactly i think he the nfl didnt like him or give him a chance was cuz of his faith
Amen
Tebow is the 🐐
Tebow Tebow Tebow!
Aaron Hernandez really killed it in this game.
bstove24 he was deadly
Nobody dared to tackle him
The fall off Florida had after Tebow and company left was and still is staggering. Hope to see them good again one day. Go Gators! 🐊
Same. Go gators
Yeah wish we could find another player like Tim Florida needs that right now
And now this man is a Tight End in Jacksonville after not playing for nearly 9 years. Unreal.
It's crazy how Tebow was still the most successful put of this team.
Hey UCF! Cincinnati would have been a playoff team and look at what happened!!!! Undefeated means nothing
Tj Adams Except UCF beat an sec team and cincinnati lost to one.
Accari Cuvell a 3 loss sec team LMFAO. Auburn was garbage away from home as it is. Bama and UGA would have killed them on a neutral field.
Also Cincinnati was in a power conference at the time so it’s not really a comparison. Anyone would’ve got crushed that day
lmfao Hernandez really killin em out there.
He does have a lot of windup on his throws, but he seems to be getting it to receivers on time pretty well.
We miss you Tebow
Isn’t it amazing. Dude is awesome. It doesn’t follow corporate media. I’m always telling my kids the media is against right.
hernandez was murdering those coverages.
people don’t realize how stacked this team was on both sides of the ball, i’d put 2006-2009 gators against any team in college football history
Even that Alabama team that just won????
I was there!!!!!!! great game!!!
Hernandez was slaying players on and off the field
Fact they had UC ranked higher the Florida is crazy defending Champs see what they did to them demolished them good gracious
This man should most definitely be an NFL elite. Wish he would have gotten more chances
Just another example that you can’t have “good” without “evil” and to make that “truth” even more undeniable ....Providence saw to it that two of the greatest examples of good and evil of our generation was on the same team.....what’s the odds of that?
Why does it still blow my mind how a guy like Tebow and Aaron Hernandez were on the same team?😂
Can you spell, M.O.N.E.Y!!!!
Tim Tebow was is & always be THE G.O.A.T.🐊🐐💯
Jared watch your mouth, didn't your mom and dad teach you how to respect others. Your the bully. You should be ashamed of your behavior.
@@tabithasabella5212 TF are you talking about????
If cincy makes the playoff this year itll be a repeat of this kind of game again. They just dont have the talent to match up with top tier teams. I love underdog stories tho!
Reading all the comments.... When Tebow was in the NFL, the NFL made a big push to get rid of all the John 3:16 signs at the end zones. Remember every game had John 3:16 sings? Guess who also uncompromisingly wore John 3:16? Tim Tebow! He was black balled for sure! People can argue this and that stat, but it was clear the NFL did not want him in the league.
Now looking back a few years you can see clearly how the NFL went Woke, with the politically correct crowd. There are so many examples of this politically correctness in the last few years. Tim was merely one of the first victims of this wokeness and politically correctness before a lot of people really realized what was going on.
Can't believe our Gators lost to Alabama that year in the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Alabama set the tone early, I would say they got a jump start on our Gators. Alabama had a plan and executed it from the beginning. Our Gators just never found their rythm. Still can't believe we lost. Hopefully with Dan Mullen, we can win some national championships. Go Gators!
Tebow's my boy!!!!!!!?
GOD BLESS
I watched this last year and forgot. Explain that.
The play-by-play guys were a bit vague on this, was this Tebow's final college game? I was confused.
Cincinnati fan i im this hurts i gotta give gators credit
It's a shame because of his spiritual beliefs we didn't get to see what he could do in the NFL.
Not his fault though, people allowed their distaste of religion to put him down.
@@nazkettu the people didn't mind his beliefs and everyone loved Tim Tebow all over the US. it was the media and the NFL that bad mouthed him and never gave him a chance. And that's because he would have been a superstar for Jesus and there's no way the NFL would have that.
@@johnnymnemonic8487 Sorry, I should have been more clear, I was referring to the media and the NFL when I said people. Poor choice of wording on my part, you're 100% correct 👌
tbh I forgot about this game
Rainey & Demps’ speed was so special.
The good ol days with Aaron Hernandez.
The SEC Championship game WAS the title game... Bama had the better game...
Tim Tebow is the next Michael Vick!!! I love Tim Tebow!!!
Mmmmmm u do realize this is in 2009 and Tebow no longer plays football anymore right?? He never really got a chance the one chance he did have he took advantage of it. The Denver Broncos started off that season as 1-5 with Tebow at backup QB. So when they started out 1-5 the coach was like well this shitty shitty team isnt gonna make the playoffs so let's put the young man in and the rest was history. In his first year of NFL play he took that same 1-5 to a 10-6 record(that means once he started they went 9-1) and made the playoffs and beat the heavily heavily favored Pittsburgh Steelers in his first year starting and then they played the New England Cheaters and lost, but like I said took a bad team at 1-5 and went 10-6 and won a playoff game in his first and only season getting a chance to start. He never got another chance after that, which was the dumbest shit I've ever seen. But whatever. I know one thing the man was a winner period, point, blank,!!
This 2009 UF team spent the year at #1 and because there was no playoff, never got the chance to play for a title because of one loss at the end of the year. Football is so much better off with the 4 team playoff it isn't even funny.
Was a hater in college. But he should've had 3 Chips. 12-1 Gators #5
He is a top 10 winner at quarterback on earth right now. But Faith isn't beneficial to the type of men the NFL is recruiting. They want warriors, not Football players.
They want assassins, not Guardians.
Why didn't Jacksonville pick him up after Denver? Legendary Florida college player.
Idk. Call jacksonville and ask
Chris Leak, Tim Tebow, John Driskel, and whatnot but...
▶Tim Tebow having Two Rings and Records being set that is a HUGE Accomplishment.
⏩People seems to OVERLOOK The Fact that Tim Tebow set records during his Sophomore and Junior Seasons
Do samaje perine 400 yards game
People forget that Tebow was debatably the best college QB of all time...a shame to see his NFL career fall apart
Gone forever aaron hernandez
Wow NFL players all over the field for Florida
Not saying the bearcats would have won but brian kelly left them high and dry before this game to coach notre dame.
I actually forgot about this game and honestly about Tim Tebow.
Same here. He was pretty average.
John 3:16
Damn it’s weird seeing Aaron Hernandez play in this game..
Looked like an NFL team against a highschool team lmao
What is it with Coaches , owners, and Gm's? If a guy is different or a different size than average they just can't grasp it for some reason that hey he can play. They tried to mess with his throwing motion. He done what he did in the SEC. Not the WAC. Ain't like every team ain't loaded down with players from the SEC. Rex Ryan, Belichech, and Elway really screwed him over in my opinion
Rip to the man
Everybody chirping in his ear about his mechanics ruined him. The guy was NOT a hopelessly inaccurate QB that he ended up becoming in the NFL. He set an NCAA or SEC record for passing efficiency for a career, ffs. He'd h ave been better off everybody keeping their god damned hands off of his delivery and just letting him be him. If he was as bad as he was put out to be, he wouldn't have had the career that he had at UF.
There's no way he would have been any worse than guys like Marcus Mariota, or Jameis Winston - Tebow wasn't a turnover machine like Winston. But, hey, they had 'better looking' deliveries and so got the chance for years and years despite years and years of MEDIOCRITY - at best.
Absolutely spot on analysis. Once you start overthinking about something you do naturally, it's over. It wrecked his confidence.
people talking how great he waz arron was a beazt
“First of all I want to thanks Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior Who is the reason why I am here” -TT
One day everybody will kneel before Him as you did, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, as you did.
I forgot about this game...
🐊
Was this the only time Cincinnati was #3???
First time watching this game
Holy Crap, I forgot how many terrible people were on that Florida team. Hernandez, Chris Rainey, Riley Cooper, etc
TheHilltopperNation of course there was, urban Meyer was the coach
Will always feel like tebow never got a long enough shot in the nfl. Never understood why teams wouldn't work with him.
Teams "Would not" work with him, is that why he was on the rosters of four different N.F.L. teams? Some have talent, and some don't.
Oh, you mean final COLLEGE game.
He's had some pretty forgettable NFL games.
If anyone ask how hard is the transition from College to NFL you show him/her some Manziel and Tebow highlights. They were two of the best college players ever, and you know what it means in the NFL? NOTHING.
where is Tim Tebow
where is Johnny Hollywood ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
How tf was Cinci #3?? Why do I not remember them ever being good?
Because they weren’t good. They had an undefeated season playing cupcake JV teams and then they were back to being unranked a year or two later when Kelly left. Reminds me of how UCF was recently
lol cincinatti was undeafeated and they didint claim a national title?😵
they lost to florida...
lol dumbass
Alec Madsen booom exactly my point ucf would lost in the playoffs
Peanut Diver lol thank goodness thats an opinion
UCF went 13-0 with Blake Bortles in 2013. Why didn't they try to claim one then?
That offensive line seems unfair...
Freaking Alabama ruined it for us, shoukd have had 3 titles, I hate Alabama so much
So you hate Alabama because you lost to them in the SEC Championship in 2009? Sounds like you're jealous...
Christopher Mendoza bamas too good
Guys don’t make kobe jokes I don’t think it would land well with some people
Welcome to the Texas Rangers
And then he went to the nfl and did absolutely nothing 😭
he has won more playoff games than matt stafford lmfao
squarecracker and?
@@javiersalazar713 that's something
more than matt stafford did anyway
squarecracker yeah well at least Matt still has a job and I’d take Matt Stafford over this dude any day of the week. If what he did was so great he’d still be in the NFL.... but he’s not, and he’s not for a reason.
@@javiersalazar713 You said he did nothing and I proved you wrong-- now you're moving the goalposts because you're bitch ass hater and always gonna be a bitch ass hater
Didn’t even acknowledge this game in swamp kings smh
Who did Florida lose to that year ?
Bama in the SEC title game
Dude that Florida team was SO STACKED. I recognized almost every player on their offense as an NFL starter, and with Tebow at the helm... they could have competed against any of the best college football teams ever.
Dolph Lundgren Yes but freaking Alabama 🤬
Christopher Maze The 2009 team was weaker than the 08 team, which ended y’all hopes that year. Hopefully them playing in the sec championship can pick back up at some point
The 09 team was not better than the 08 team. If Florida has Percy Harvin against Bama that year then its a totally different game. Harvin was one of the best college players I've ever had the pleasure of watching,
Christopher Maze And got spanked by a OU team, Clemson, And Ohio state. No Bama QB was ever as good as Tebow or any of the best of all time
Christopher Maze Lmaoooo, hey bro. They got 5 Natty’s, but how many of them did you participate in outside of the couch? 😂😂😂😂😂
Man, Hernandez was a killer in this game...
Erik Torrijos booooo bad joke! XD
too soon bro
Too soon bro lol
One might say his career took off like a shot after this
Man Hernandez was a killer in real life lol
It is rather bizarre looking back in hindsight that Tebow, one of the best examples of what human being should be, passing to Hernandez, one of the worst examples of a human being ever.
Tawnku Imi-Uru and Riley cooper
Hernandez had so much talent and went through a lot in his childhood. So sad it didn't work out. 1 mistake really can change your life.
Tawnku Imi-Uru lol
Tawnku Imi-Uru self and selfless
God will show his glory that way
Tim Tebow will go down as one of The BEST College Football players that people still are JEALOUS of OR LOVE to HATE.
The media hated him, but us football fans loved him.You didn't have to be a Florida fan to love Tebow.
So many somewhat productive NFL players in that offense my god, Tebow, Riley Cooper, Aaron Hernandez, Chris Rainey, Maurkeece Pouncey, Marcus Gilbert, etc
also deonte thompson
and then there was Percy Harvin...Brett Favre called him the best he ever threw to.
He needed a mentor like Peyton Manning wished Denver kept Tebow to be under Peyton's wing
He needed the team to fix his throwing motion from the beginning and turn the offence to his needs not try to fit him in as this Prototype QB like Manning
Air Max yesssss and he wasn’t that bad in the NFL just never got a chance
Manning came probably after 3 years Tebow left... Sounds good but it would have never happened. You were better off saying Brady should have been Tebows mentor seeing how they were teammates for a short while
Tim Tebow scored 34 times in 549 touches in his first 15.5 games and 13 plays in the NFL.
In 2017, this would rank 2nd in the NFL for total scores by a quarterback.
In 2010/2011, Tim Tebow scored 34 times in 549 touches (passing or rushing) in his first 15.5 games and 13 plays.
In 2010, Peyton Manning scored 33 times in 697 touches.
Tebow was 21% more efficient at scoring than Manning. He was already better than Manning
Manning didn't earn the job in Denver, Tebow did.
Mannng didn’t score more times than Tebow until his 7th season in the NFL. Before 2011, only 2 of Manning's 13 seasons had more scores per touch than Tebow had in his first 16 games of playing time.
Tebow threw a TD every 16.4 attempts in 2010 and 19.6 attempts in his first 16 in 2010/2011
Orton threw a TD every 24.9 attempts in 2010 and 28 attempts in 2011.
Manning threw a TD every 20.5 attempts in 2010
Tebow also scored every 11.6 rushing attempts, ran for 937 yards and 46 rushing first downs.
19 TDs passing and 15 rushing scores. That's the same ratio he had in college with 88 passing and 57 rushing.
In 2012, Tim Tebow was the fastest scoring QB in their first 16 games of playing time since Dan Marino in 1984.
CyberviewU Tebooooooooow!!!!!!
Tebow was one of the best of all times, and most importantly, a strong soldier for Christ!!
So why didn't his God help him to become an NFL starter, or to make it in baseball?
@@calibrazxr750 he did start in the nfl lol. Also he said he was a soldier in Christ which he was. He made it to national spotlight and showed everyone he was about Christ and the message.
@@corderofuentes9654 but God did not exactly help him in his pursuit of a successful and long term NFL or MLB career. I know he started a few games, but I am referring to becoming a franchise QB, not a stop gap player.
@@calibrazxr750 Because God had another plan for him like spreading his word throughout the world
@@_iaden_640 and there aren't enough people already doing that? It seems to me to be immensely harsh to deny a man his dream, for somewhat selfish reasons. But then again, God has a history of being a vicious, egotistical tyrant.
I think today we recognize Tim as a person who stood by his endurance as well as his character.
It's so crazy how people like Tebow and Hernandez were on the same team and spent thousands of hours together...yet are a million miles apart on a human level.
Great observation. You had both good and evil as teammates on a winning team.
The poor guy never got a fair chance in the nfl
Orlando Colon yeah he did he just wasnt cut out for it
Lonnie Easley yes he was the first Heisman quarter back to win NFL playoff game in like 20 years John Elway had it out for him and screwed him over.
Elway didn’t like that they were comparing Tebow to him..
If he played tight end, he'd be awesome!
He couldn't complete half of passes in that game(10/21) with four out of eleven Steeler starters out. Not really that impressive.
As an Auburn fan I really loved Tebow a great human being and example! He is truly one of the best!
It's sad that the media mocked him for being a good person.
wasn't really "for being a good person" because there are many athletes who try to advocate for good deeds and don't get mocked
@@et99366 Of course it was, The media hates anyone who has faith in a God and openly talks about it. They prefer the cop killing Kaepernick over Tebow. Thats why ratings are worst ever for the NFL

What if Tebow left his jr year and Cam Newton stayed??
PNAS99 what if cam didn’t steal the laptop
At least one more NC. And who knows what it would have led to after that. Maybe UF is Bama
A sad day for every Gator!! Tebow's last game with the Gators!!😢😢
He looked like a man amongst boys. Sure looked like he could throw to me. Maybe John Fox should hav let him, you know, actually get in a rhythm instead of running constantly. Fox stunted tebows growth, when if he just let Tim go play he would have been much better throwing. Look at the end of broncos games when they let Tim get going and throw more... he got way more accurate and made lots of plays. Too bad he was wasted by crooked good ol’ boys nfl management
jnixa1010 Fox was inept at CAROLINA and proved he couldn’t develop NFL talent. Had Tebow gone to Pittsburgh and been a backup or Big Ben, he would have fit perfectly in that system. Nobody could have done anything with the poor offensive line of the Jets and New England never would have considered playing him. Shame he couldn’t have been a fit somewhere.
What's even more impressive is UC scored!
Probably one of the best Human Beings of all time! Much Respect to the Legend him self Timothy Tebow
