The very thought of a demon singing about how it wants you the victim to stay and how it would kill itself to keep you in its world for eternal torment is a nightmare personified. Although I think it’s kinda somber and cool how it’s a perversion of Sonic and Tails’ friendship in the main series. A dark and twisted take on it which makes it so cool!
what makes me love this song in general is that the main noticeable theme is that the world their in is ending and X wants his favorite toy to join him in a new world, what I got is that X gives Alan a true choice for once, to stay in a dying world and finally see heaven, or stay with his tormentor for another lifetime
During the Lord’s song, Zestsubo cries his tears out. His red eyes illuminate the water, representing the tears of his Lord himself. The two of them share such *Despair*
This is really creative. It shows that despite his near limitless power, he still has things beyond his reach. Over the years, he allowed himself to become attached to Alan, and wanted to keep the cycle going forever. But as the lord himself says, all good things must come to an end. I also like how this could be interpreted using what each guardian protects. Despair at his favorite giving up. Rage at fate for this inevitability. Disgust at what his victim, and in fact what he himself has become. Praying for a different outcome. Fear that he is loosing his touch, and fear of loosing his favorite toy. The Desire to stop this moment from happening. And in the end, Joy that this weight has been lifted. One of the best LXW originals, and yet another testimony to Lord X Wrath’s amazing songs.
This is so hauntingly beautiful. It strikes a similar feel to Trichael but instead being X's victory but it leaves him feeling upset that his fun has ended with his oldest 'friend' always determined to stop him has finally given up. It's honestly peak Lord X content.
in the worst ending of "nightmare beginning" there was something similar, sonic said that he would restart the timeline so that the player could try and save his "friends"
Looking through the lyrics, ya really see how much X actually kind of cares for Alan, he calls him an angel in his hellish world, he says he's the one thing he could love in his dying world, even says he'd kill himself if it meant Alan staying by him as they have been, I don't know about you, but it seems to me like Alan was the closest thing Lord X got to genuinely loving someone or something, regardless of what kind of love it might be

It feels weird for Lord X to show some kind of sadness for a victim, Alan specifically, but it works and makes so much sense in the long run. It's like the "games" Lord X plays and the sagas both he and Alan go through is the way he shows care. After all, he just wants to have some fun in his own sick, twisted way. I love these Lord X songs, simply because X is a character I like to wonder about and put together in my own way. With this song, i can imagine it being taken on an even deeper level. I imagine a possibility or an alternate timeline where instead of X saying his farewell to Alan, it's to Sonic, and the Sonic franchise as a whole. Kinda like how he says his farewells in Tricheal, except he's saying a personal goodbye to Sonic as he dies, while also saying goodbye to the franchise. A franchise and a verse that has given him so much fun and pleasure over the years, so many souls, so many games, yet he always knew there would be so little time to enjoy it all. A franchise that ever since he entered our world, had intrigued him, interested him. A simple blue Hedgehog running across green hills, in such a Pure, innocent, untouched realm. I've always liked to think that X isn't necessarily evil by choice, he was an entity made out of primordial energies after all, a mistake of creation. So naturally, everything he does, thinks, and perceived is twisted and demented in his own way. With no purpose, X would find his only real goal be to have fun, though his version of "fun" is sick and twisted. Not by choice, simply by default. But now that his vessel has grown old and battered, he would soon have to return to the Void, to start again, in a new vessel, and another lifetime. But before doing so, he decides to visit the blue Hedgehog Sonic himself, the one he was always interested in and inspired by in his craft. Crying out all his woes to him, and Sonics universe inadvertently, but not seeing him as a person. I believe that X is best compared to a child who also is fascinated with Sonic. And just as a child plays with Sonic toys and figures, X plays with souls of Sonics universe, making his own games, showing his version of love for it. Something that gave him so much Satisfaction. But now, just as a child may move from Sonic, he too must move past his obsession, as much as he doesnt want to. I might be dwelling too deep into it, but I just like to wonder and imagine my own ways of characters like X. So complex, yet so simple. FIRE SONG! 🔥

I had this song in my playlist and I fell asleep to the playlist. I woke up in the middle of the night to this song and I genuinely felt like I was being tortured without being able to do anything. Like I was in sleep paralysis. good shit 👍
What I love about this song is that X actually shows his greed. The only thing he talks about in this song is him and Alan staying together forever, as it's indirectly stated that he cares more about indulgence than sacrifice. He also admits that he broke Alan, in more ways than one. X truly is a twisted creature, and i love it.

I imagine a possibility or an alternate timeline where instead of X saying his farewell to Alan, it's to Sonic, and the Sonic franchise as a whole. Kinda like how he says his farewells in Tricheal, except he's saying a personal goodbye to Sonic as he dies, while also saying goodbye to the franchise. A franchise and a verse that has given him so much fun and pleasure over the years, so many souls, so many games, yet he always knew there would be so little time to enjoy it all.
A franchise that ever since he entered our world, had intrigued him, interested him. A simple blue Hedgehog running across green hills, in such a Pure, innocent, untouched realm. I've always liked to think that X isn't necessarily evil by choice, he was an entity made out of primordial energies after all, a mistake of creation. So naturally, everything he does, thinks, and perceived is twisted and demented in his own way. With no purpose, X would find his only real goal be to have fun, though his version of "fun" is sick and twisted. Not by choice, simply by default. But now that his vessel has grown old and battered, he would soon have to return to the Void, to start again, in a new vessel, and another lifetime. But before doing so, he decides to visit the blue Hedgehog Sonic himself, the one he was always interested in and inspired by in his craft. Crying out all his woes to him, and Sonics universe inadvertently, but not seeing him as a person.
I believe that X is best compared to a child who also is fascinated with Sonic. And just as a child plays with Sonic toys and figures, X plays with souls of Sonics universe, making his own games, showing his version of love for it. Something that gave him so much Satisfaction. But now, just as a child may move from Sonic, he too must move past his obsession, as much as he doesnt want to. I might be dwelling too deep into it, but I just like to wonder and imagine my own ways of characters like X. So complex, yet so simple. FIRE SONG! 🔥

What I love about this song is that X actually shows his greed. The only thing he talks about in this song is him and Alan staying together forever, as it's indirectly stated that he cares more about indulgence than sacrifice.
