just make the ball in another geometric shape, like an icosahedron. you have to make them in a cube on a base. then a sentence on the base: inside the box, you have to think outside the box. Like i did at this idea 🤔
My job is cylindrical grinding. I’m on holiday right now and I watch your videos every day. I can’t wait to get back to work! Love what you guys are doing!!
No way! There is a compilation of fundamental skills going on here! Barry and his line of fidgets are always fun to watch LOL! Love the editing too! 😁😁
Tbh I don’t think that would be very difficult relatively for them compared to what this video showed, I think we can jump straight to the next level up, which is ball in box -> in ball -> in box -> in ball.
Man that’s an awesome piece of art!!! I for one never even know that you could make it. I still am kinda dumbfounded as to how you did it aside from drill and mill
That’s some mad skills you got there. You have to be able to visualize all of that in the block of stock or you’ll never make it . If I wore a hat I’d definitely tip it to you !
Yes! The tribe has spoken, and we're listening! The team is currently looking into making these designs available to all of you. We love seeing you all re-create them!
If this series continues we will probably end with Barry making use of Ibarmia and the whole thing will have 6-8 insides and the forklift will be a must to lift it xD So much fun :D
Nice! I love how things can be made with machining that defies most peoples' imagination, including mine sometimes (and I have a very active and vivid imagination.) How about a pyramid floating inside of a hollow spherical cage inside another pyramid? Is that even possible?
this videos must become a series, like every video adding another bigger box or ball or any type a shape, until u make so big u cant put it in any machine :3
Are you a member of our Facebook machinists group? Titans of CNC Machining? If so, Im there. You can also find me on Facebook, Barry Setzer, with the afro
@@derekbahner9619 It depends on tolerances and part shape/material type. You're not going to be able to hold .0001" in inconel using these, but they are especially useful for prototypes, organic shapes that are difficult to hold, and are very easy to manufacture. Alternately the Markforged MetalX can be used for just about anything.
Lol this channel has just the best goofy energy and entertainment when Barry is around! 👍 My daughter and I want to see horror movie masks and faces for Halloween👍👍👍
Very good sir, will you please help me for making a product as my design. I like sign MOU. After product selling and profit gain I will pay for you. Because no one making as my design is very simple.
Oh man! I see a lot of challenges coming in! Awesome job Barry 🤙😁
Lol thanks boss!

Like i did at this idea 🤔
Machine Barry's bust out of magnesium, might have to put him in the CMM to measure him
Ball in box in hall in pyramid
You have to try putting the ball in a box in a ball into something else Trevors gonna be fed up of making Jaws up for ya, all the best from the UK
My job is cylindrical grinding. I’m on holiday right now and I watch your videos every day. I can’t wait to get back to work! Love what you guys are doing!!
Thanks for the support! Its amazing to see the community coming together of machinists with different skill sets and backgrounds!

Agreed . Entertaining as anything and, the editing is great. Not a bunch useless talking. I’m hooked!
Now you have to try a ball in a box in a ball that’s in a box
Obviously
Tbh I don’t think that would be very difficult relatively for them compared to what this video showed, I think we can jump straight to the next level up, which is
ball in box -> in ball -> in box -> in ball.
Sounds like a good idea
"Now it's time to abuse metal" lol. Very fun video Barry!
We know how much Barry loves ripping CHIPS! BOOM!
My ball in a box sits proudly at my desk. Thank you for teaching me how awesome this skill is. BOOM!
Congratulations! 🎉 That's a big accomplishment!
Awesome man glad you liked it!
NIIICEEEEEE
Do the ball in a box on a manual lathe ( that what we had to do in school here in Denmark before we could go on the cnc lathe)
Platonic solids inside each other.
a Tetrahedron inside a Cube, inside a Octahedron, inside a Dodecahedron, inside a icosahedron.
inside a decepticon 😂
impossible but something with platonic solids would be cool
And those are big words I’ll have to look up when no one is looking 👀
@@BrainsofFrank LOL me too! But I'm gonna act like I know what all those things are in the meantime lol
@@BrainsofFrank Rhombicosidodecahedron

I could watch Barry all day. This man is born for the camera!
Never gets old Barry, love to see you guys make a puzzle ball out of ally
ooooooooo i like it
So dope man. Not just the concept, but then the design, programming all the tools... dang. I'm impressed.
That’s some mad skills you got there. You have to be able to visualize all of that in the block of stock or you’ll never make it .

Hope they would add this to the academy. Design & programming.

Hahaha how thoughtful of you to save your chips as a present for me Barry. I’ll be sure to save you some fairy dust on my next print 😂
I can't wait to see that video! 🤣 Don't forget your safety glasses 🤓
i love how yall take lil "jabs" at each other. can tell its a great shop environment
he's just flexing on us at this point.
I will watch this definitely when I go home
Ive always wanted to try machining a chain linked together already.
Thats actually one of mine as well. Guess i better start figuring that out
Barry , cool , do u remember when us cnc machinist had to physically write g code for all work ,trigonometry jeff in Virginia
A ball in a dodecahedron could look cool :)
LOVE IT!!! OK to be a little funny, just don't get hurt, man!
If this series continues we will probably end with Barry making use of Ibarmia and the whole thing will have 6-8 insides and the forklift will be a must to lift it xD
So much fun :D
Hahaha NO! Im done with this idea 😂😂
You guys should try doing ones where its almost every basic 3d shape ball box pyramid and so on
Mad skills... nuff said
Nice! I love how things can be made with machining that defies most peoples' imagination, including mine sometimes (and I have a very active and vivid imagination.)
How about a pyramid floating inside of a hollow spherical cage inside another pyramid? Is that even possible?
I would call it inception ball
this videos must become a series, like every video adding another bigger box or ball or any type a shape, until u make so big u cant put it in any machine :3
Cool ! Greetings from Poland
Greetings @Mc Woj Thank you for your support 🤙
You know the next logical step.
Hola gracias por inspirarnos a aprender mas y a divertirnos a la ves me gustaria saver las medidas de la ball in a bax in a ball grasias
So nice, what is the max "Ball ina Box" 5, 10, 100?
Can u put it in a polyhedron tho?
BTW love ur content.
We enjoy challenges! Thank you for your support 🤙
when will you put stp in Titan Academy ??
Great question! We'll have updated content posted to the academy very soon. Stay tuned!
That's a cool video Barry!
You have to capitalize on this Chris! Chips, fairy dust, and grinding spark.. perfect trifecta!
Why thank you sir
We do it all at Titans! From Grinding Swarf to chips the size of Texas!
Very cool, Do you do custom work ?
Getting paid to take a sh!t watching this video can’t beat it
How far down can they take it though. I mean ball to box to ball... how about box then ball again until they can't make a ball any more?
I want to design and make a Rhombus inside a trapezoid.
How about a ball in a box in a ball in a box! LOL
only skill is create by titans of CNC

What about a box to keep our own balls in? 😁👍 Clever guys, great video.

Can create a zodiac? Dragon with 4 legs?
Barry, I need you to machine me a rocket ship. Im trying to get to Mars by Friday, can you help?
Oh man I'm kinda busy! But you can check out the rocket series on the Academy!
How can I submit a design? I have a cool project that I have made several times myself but would love to see it made at titan cnc.

@barry setzer
What material did you use to 3D print the soft jaws?
We used Onyx with carbon fiber support
Thanks, and what kind of printer do you use for that?
@@derekbahner9619 We used our Markforged X7
So is that material strong enough to use as a soft jaw in most applications or just with softer materials like aluminum with light machining?
@@derekbahner9619 It depends on tolerances and part shape/material type. I wish that i was being so productive with my time.
The only thing I've managed to do today is laundry.
Doing something is better than doing nothing. It's a step in the right direction!
I think I can make one of those with my Dewalt drill and a file
1:40 OMG what's happening here, the whole fixture shake like crazy. how come the EM isn't broken
Hahaha that was the camera shaking
this is insane
make the same with all platonic solids.
A tetrahedron in a cube in a octahedron in a dodecaedron in a icosahedron.
Will you accept the challenge?
Hahaha I like the idea, but I think I will just ask Trevor to 3D print that.
This is going to be a never ending story . . .
lol exactly
The machinist equivalent of Matryoshka dolls
I always thought those were cool! Hmm..a CNC Matryoshka Doll..Thank you for your comment Allison!
-S 😉😁
I’m interested to see if you could do this with a 5 axis single setup.
It would be 5 sides and then the final side… so 2 ops
You should test the limits and see how far you can go with this like a machined ship in a bottle ?
i love vmc 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Barry does too 😎 Thank you for your support @Nikhil Gowda 🤙
Come on man...I want that!
A Pawn inside of a Queen.
A Swiss cube, in a ball, in a box would be way more impressive....!
Next step would be going into the extreme by 3D-printing that in a much smaller scale in titanium
Or edm it
Ball, in a box, in a ball, in a box.
Mind bending
Next vid idea:
Ball in a box in a ball in a box
hi Barry, you look hella fresh today

next step is to make a ball in a box in a ball in a box
Now do a ball in a box in a ball IN A BOX!

Now put it in another Box! :P
anyone get a count on how many times they said "ball" or "box"

Put a rhombicosidodecahedron in a pyramid.
I need a job application for this company. I want to make a ball in a box in a bowl or whatever that thing is!🥴
yo dawg
give it another box😂😂😂😂
I bet you can't go past 5 trapped objects...
Now take the ball in a box and turn it back into the box
Well the next logical step would be a ball in a box in a ball in a box right? XD
But can you do a Ball in a Box in a Ball in a Box?
How about a ball in a box in ball in a box? 😁
only 3? not a ball in a box in a box with balls in an extra box?
Now do that on a cnc lathe
